Might be Ziggler's best option at this point. Judging by his tweets I really think he is more into his stand up thing at this point than wrestling. His description on twitter even says something like "Stand up comic, wrestle to pay the bills"

I'd be sad to see him go, but it's better than staying around to be treated like shit.

I hope he stacks enough paper to comfortably live while he chases what seems to be a true passion in comedy. He really doesn't seem to be happy in WWE right now. Selfishly I'd like to see him in TNA, but even if he were pushed to the moon I'm not sure being top dog in that company would satisfy Ziggler's desire to be great.

Not to point out the obvious "Ziggler's above this" notions, but are they still going to do this Miz vs Ziggler tag team? Can't see that working given how he was booked tonight. They have to be face since they're the disgruntled employees of the heel Authority... but wouldn't you want to build them up to that? Fresh off this embarassing loss Ziggler should be counting his lucky stars he's still employed in kayfabe. so him bitching about that will come across so heelish. Stupid. Fucking stupid.

I don't see that Miz/Ziggler tag team happening. It seems more likely that this is a set up for a Miz heel turn, or at least that's what I'm hoping for. He considers himself "The Most Must-See Superstar In WWE History" who once walked in and walked out of Wrestlemania as WWE Champion, yet now he can't even get booked on Raw. I know it sounds odd since he should rationally be pissed at The Authority (who are heels and anyone who opposes them for not getting booked should technically be seen as a babyface) but if he ends up directing his frustration and anger on a babyface who he sees as inferior and less deserving than him, it could still lead to a logical heel turn.

Haha can't blame him one bit for not being happy currently in the WWE.. That's not even a selfish notion I really think he should go to TNA too he'd find great success there and would be loved by the fanbase for sure.. I can see him and several members of that roster putting on some really well worked matches. You're right though, it may not satisfy his desire but I think it'd be way better for his morale than at its current state.

It has nothing to do with the character, but if you read what I said you will see I stated he will never be pushed by WWE. So clearly I don't think he will achieve anything with this or any character. He is stuck in what I call Wade Barrett territory now.

I really think he would rather be a struggling stand up comic living off his WWE savings than go to TNA.

I think he said back in '12 in some weird interview up in Cleveland that he had a couple friends who were wrestling with TNA, don't remember who exactly but maybe if they were still there they'd convince him to go.
I had heard that stand-up was an interest of his, never really followed up to find out if it was true but you saying that makes me think for sure it is..
Heck! Who knows, he could always retouch base with the members of the Spirit Squad and join up as a couple male cheerleaders with some pro team, there's always that option for him :)

With Maria, he broke into the upper mid-card and started to regularly have PPV matches. With Vickie, he had a 5 month IC title reign, feuded with Edge and had WWE championship matches. With AJ, he became WH champion. Ziggler should have played the womaniser for the rest of his career. Even as a face he calls himself the smug, show-off that 'steals your girlfriend'. Creative had stacks of angles for him. Turning Ziggler at Payback was just as bad a decision as turning Ryback at Post-WM Raw.

None of it matters. He is being punished because he said he would beat up Orton if it came to blows, and Orton is Kofi Kingston'ing/Mr. Anderson'ing him.

But you agree that he was better off in his old role?
