I have to admit Ahmed Johnson was a true legit Badass who could have been World Champion. But I want to know these

1. What made him so Injury Prone

and

2. Was it because he put too much emphasis on his moves is that why he injured so many guys?

Those are good questions, I actually remember back then watching him and thought he could have been a world champion. I always thought it was backstage politics that ruined his push, but you bring a great point.

Jim Cornette has actually answered these questions before.

Oh, and what did he say?
Basically, he was injury prone because of not really wanting to learn how to wrestle "right" and how to take bumps "right".

And he injured guys because he was careless and thought he was better than everybody.

If you can, look up some of the things people besides Cornette has said about Ahmed because the general thing was that he was a huge asshole/dick and thought he was better than most people on the roster at the time and such.

Basically he didn't want to wrestle the way WWF at the time wanted him to wrestle in a manner of speaking. I guess, I should have used better wording.

For example, the right way for Ahmed to wrestle would have been working holds/submissions to show off his strength and do power moves and progress his way up, while all Ahmed wanted to do was power moves and be thrown into the main event.

He basically jumped the gun and basically was showing off too much which caused his and others to have injuries

I thought it might have been because he wasn't training right as far as taking bumps.... That might have been it

I remember watching some parts of Ahmed shoot interviews and I can understand that he would rub people the wrong way, he seemed to hate everyone.

When I look back there were some moves his build was too big for. Like The Suicide Dive and The Scissors Kick he did.

His body frame was too big for that. He probably could have kept the bicycle kick tho, since Wrestlers could have put their hands in their face to block it. But it still was a big ass boot.

It's a shame that he got injured so much and it killed his push. He was the first Black Intercontinental Champion, and could've been the first Black WWE Champion. There are even rumors that Vince thought about that.

Yeah, I always his Scissors Kick was just awful when compared to Booker's who did it great, you know.

What also killed his push was him thinking he was top dog when he wasn't, you know, and you add in his bad attitude and of course the injuries you can kinda of see why.

According to a 1996 edition of Wrestling Superstars, Ahmed Johnson spent too much time lifting weights and not enough on the treadmill or other dynamic machines. I can imagine that the muscles in his body must have become very tight and not the most elastic. For him, movements that involved stretching must have been a big chore and no doubt the reason why he was so injury prone. Tense musculature doesn't react well to being extended, as many muscle bound people have learned the hard way. They just don't have the flexibility to allow their muscles to stretch as gracefully as someone who balances calisthenics with power lifting do.

Basically he sucked. Keep in mind the top two guys were Brett and Shawn Michaels you know some of the best of all time.

There were physical and political reasons why he did. Ahmed Johnson was better suited for body building, not wrestling. It was obvious that his body was wrongly conditioned for athletic sports. He was always going to be at risk of injury.

Also, WWE didn't have a very wide vision for black people at the time. Faarooq went down in flames and for all intents and purposes, his run wasn't worth much in the end.
