If Cena was the one to end the streak, I would've never watched WWE again.

And yes, Taker vs Lesnar should've happened years ago, but Brock couldn't do it due to his contract with the UFC at the time, I think. I could be wrong, though.
I'm not annoyed by the fact that Lesnar broke the streak, I'm annoyed that they had piss poor promos. They should've done it like they did with CM Punk last year, make it interesting...

Taker's gonna last till WM31? Really? Who's he gonna face, then? Sting?
He should just hang it up, he's done it all.

I was referring to the hypothetical scenario of Taker/Cena happening this year instead of Taker/Lesnar.

It is still possible that Taker wrestles one final match at Wrestlemania 31 though, but I doubt it. He believes in the old adage "You Go Out On Your Back" (i.e. you lose your final match), and after losing the streak this year, I don't think we'll ever see him job at a Wrestlemania again, and if the man doesn't believe in winning your final match, then that pretty much cancels out another Wrestlemania appearance for him (unless they/he consider putting someone over as the Streak-Killer as more than enough reason to let him win his final match.)

Maybe he'll have one final match at Survivor Series later this year, that way he can go out at the same exact event that he started at twenty-four years ago.

I wasn't paying attention to the topic, that's why I didn't get the hypothetical scenario at first.

Would be cool to see him wrestle once again, but just like you said, doubtful. He should hang it up. He'll be in the HOF next year.

Hold those thoughts, folks. Let's wait and see if Russia invades Ukraine and World War III starts. I've always thought it would be interesting to watch a WWE show from an arena that glows in the dark without lights.

Maybe this time the Zombies **will** attack us. Led by Billy Mays himself....

"Hi folks, Billy Mays here and I'm here to talk about **Zombie Maker!!** Just start a war, die, and you'll **instantly** come back as a **Zombie!!** Think about the fun you'll have at parties...amuse your friends...frighten your relatives.....just send $19.95 to " I WANNABEAZOMBIE," care of this station..Hurry before everything goes dark!!!!"

You know, after putting a little more thought into it, there's just no way I can see both Cena/Undertaker and Rock/Lesnar happening in the midcard this year (and they always want a world title match to headline their big anniversary Wrestlemania events, so neither could have headlined unless they made Cena/Taker for the championship, which they wouldn't with The Authority angle in full-effect.) What would have happened most likely is that Cena gets magically injected into the main event and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match becomes a four-way between Orton/Cena/Batista/Bryan (i.e. Bryan going over the three biggest stars of the Ruthless Aggression Era all in one match.) Meanwhile, Wyatt gets the match with Undertaker using the same logic that Wyatt/Cena had in that Bray gets a rub from working a big Wrestlemania match with an established veteran, even though he loses in the end (unless they would have actually given Wyatt the streak, which they wouldn't.) Everything else could have remained the very same.

So, if The Rock had worked Wrestlemania this year against Lesnar, this probably would have been the finalized card:

Fatal Four-Way (possibly elimination) for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Orton/Cena/Batista/Bryan
Daniel Bryan vs Triple H
The Rock vs Brock Lesnar
Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt
The Shield vs Kane & The New Age Outlaws
Andre Memorial Battle Royal
Divas' Invitational For The Diva's Championship

I'm just going to post my WM30 card:

Randy Orton (c) vs. Daniel Bryan (RR) vs. John Cena - recreating the WMXX scenario where the two established stars put over the new young rising star.
The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt - in years to come, people will talk about WWE never doing this match.
Brock Lesnar vs. Batista - the best way to use Batista, two big guys put on some No DQ brawl.
Triple H vs. CM Punk - anti-authority guy takes down authority, pretty obvious.

That would have been too stacked though.

If Rock had faced Brock, it would have been set up for a second match between Taker and Punk. The two previous Taker Mania feuds were two-match feuds (HBK and HHH). Whether or not you think Punk would have broken the Streak I leave to you guys to discuss.

There would have been no way Punk would have walked away from a second Taker match. He might have disappeared for a while after the Rumble, but he would have come back for Mania to face Taker a second time.

You could be right, there ^

Would've been cool to see a rematch 'tween Punk and Taker at WM30 and Punk breaking the streak, possibly. Actually, I'd be cool with anyone breaking the streak, except Cena. But I guess that ship has sailed.

Well, I would say you're in the minority if you were cool with Lesnar breaking the Streak, but apparently both Taker and Vince were in that minority, too.

I'm still a little concerned with the decision, but thankfully Paul Heyman is making hay out of the "Conquering of the Streak", because, if you weren't aware, his client, Brock Lesnar, conquered the Undertaker's Streak at Wrestlemania. :eek:tunga:
