Lawler Unhappy With HOF

According to Dave Meltzer, Jerry "The King" Lawler was not overly excited about being inducted into the WWE hall of fame. Apparently "The King" feels that the hall of fame implies that he is old and retired, which isn't the impression Lawler wants to convey.

Believe it or not, Lawler had baseball tickets, and would have preferred to attend the ballgame rather than being inducted. Lawler was also upset when asked whom he would like to induct him into the hall of fame. Lawler picked legendary announcer Lance Russell, but he was told no one would know who Russell is.

Wow, Vince said that? Lance Russel was the voice of Memphis wrestling for like a hundred years. I do remember a couple years ago blackjack lanza, pat patterson and Ernie Ladd, Not exactly Stallone and Flair.

Yeah I thought it was a bit early too, maybe if Lawler was not doing comentry anymore that would be ok. I guess its either say yes or never be asked to be in the hall of fame again.

I think it was to fill in the gap for this years hall of fame, i feel its too early for him as he is still in the business.

Pat Patterson & Bam Bam Bigelow should be inducted instead.

Haha, happens to alot of people when they are given an honer for what they have done. It's not like he will be out of wrestling anytime soon, he will not be taken off commentary for a long time.

agreed, hes not going in for being a commentator, he's going in for his wrestling, and he's no longer doing. Pat Patterson would've been a better substitute, but bam bam Bigelow shouldn't go in yet, if ever.

Jerry Lawler should be honored that he is in at all, instead of whining about not now.

Snoop Dogg and Charlie Sheen have got a crazy collaboration brewing. “Me and Charlie, we working on something right now in the studio, trying to put some music together. Something real crazy,â€￾ the West Coast rapper told George Lopez on Thursday’s “Lopez Tonight.â€￾ “He’s a brilliant guy. I’m having so much fun just being around him. I love having relationships with different people who aren’t the normal, who aren’t the usual. We’re making some real classic material. We’ll probably put something on Twitter in like three or four days.â€￾

Tha Doggfather, who released his new album Doggumentary this week, also spoke on selling weed to Cameron Diaz in high school (“I might have sold her some of that white girl weed—sticks and stems and seedsâ€￾), running for governor of California, and becoming the next Oprah Winfrey. “I think Oprah did a great job for as long as she did. She was the queen of daytime TV,â€￾ said Snoop. “Now it needs to be passed on to the king.â€￾
