I for one am actually quite looking foward to this match. The Raw scramble is simply putting the same people who have been going for the title over the past 2 or 3 years in one big recycled match. Smackdown is actually doing something extremely intelligent in their match. NONE of these guys have ever been a world champ before. Theyre boosting younger talent. True, none of these guys would ever hold their own against HHH in a one on one match, but that's the point. HHH doesn't have to lose this one to lose the title.
We've got pretty opposite sites of the spectrum here. One raw weve got the rookie champ punk going up against a bunch of seasoned vets. On smackdown we've got the vet HHH against a bunch of title hungry young guys. All of who have something they need to prove in the industry, so you know they're going to work that much harder to make this match fucking incredible.
Let's go through the matches here...

RAW..
CM PUNK... I think this will probably be the end of Punks title reign. He had the belt, it served it's purpose and put him up there as a decent main event competitor.
JBL.... cleanly lost his last title shot. A great main event heel but I don't see him coming out of this one.
KANE...about to start a feud with mysterio...not gonna happen.
CENA...ehh..could happen...don't think it will though. He hasn't been hot enough lately.
BATISTA...honestly the guy I think is leaving this one with the title. He's been fuckin red hot over the past few months. He'll probably run a long feud with the returning Orton over the next few months, come out on top...leading to CENA/BATISTA 2 at WM.

SMACKDOWN...
HHH........what do I need to say?
Jeff......has been poised at the main event line for quite some time. I'm sure well see the strap on him a few times in the match..but not coming out on top.
Shelton...I don't even think he should be in this match.... he's got the US strap already, I hate when they do this. Same situation the had with hardy a few months ago.
THE brian kendrick..... a really out of this world oppurtunity for Kendrick in this one. He's got insane amounts of talent, a great gimmick and this is a make or break one for him. He's got no chance of winning...but never the less..amazing oppurtunity.
MVP....stands the best chance of possibly taking the belt of HHH. If anything this would be a nice oppurtunity to really vault him into a main event status heel as HHH is really in need of one to feud with right now.

Im sorry but i have to diss agree with you. You said none of these men would hold up against HHH in a one on one match. But Jeff Hardy did beat HHH in a one on one match to face Randy orton at No mercy this past year. Freaken blueberry. I say Jeff Hardy will get the title sooner or later.

I hate the title of the match. Championship scramble sounds like a sports related special at Denny's. It's all in the presentation in wrestling and this title sucks.

I just can't get over how many fans are on HHH's balls. It's almost a crime to have someone win the title in a match where he doesn't have to be pinned. Get over yourselves.

Lol, I dont even know what WWHHH means. Expalin, please.

Urrrrgggghhhhhhh... Wasn't he just DYING to be asked!

Generally into the prospect of the SD match more, but seriously.... Kendrick???

If anyone, Koslov should be in there instead thanks to his undefeated record.

I am looking forward to the SMACKDOWN Championship Scramble!

It gives guys like Kendrick and Benjamin and even MVP a platform to prove they can live with the pressure of main eventing there brand, Hardy has already proven he can live in that company and Triple H does not need to prove any more, so hopefully even if they don't win, they perform to a level that suggests that they can be trusted in headlining the blue brand from time to time

I think it is stupid that the scramble is happening on SD too, it was cool on RAW, but SD aswell? Just kills it.

SD could of had something original to keep it more exciting.

HHH will retain, imo.

I agree with this, the Championship Scramble was meant to be an 'Adamle Original' so having SMACKDOWN copy from there rival's GM does not make sense, WWF would not instantly do what WCW did and vice versa so I don't understand why SMACKDOWN emulate RAW when they have the potential to be better than RAW, although I must admit I am more looking forward to the SMACKDOWN match than the red brands

We've also got an ECW one now...thats an hour right there... that leaves room for like 3 other matches on the PPV.

An ECW one really?

The RAW Scrabble seems like nothing out of the ordinary, same old guys fighting for the title but Smackdown's. You got MVP, Kendrick & Shelton (who I've given up on) who are getting their first chance at WWE gold and who aren't considered main eventers. For once the WWE is doing something right with SD!, giving the midcarders a chance.

@noumenon: Umm that's 1/3 of the PPV. There is plenty of room, unless those 3 matches you were talking about go for 40 minutes or more...

PPVs usually end around the 2 hour, 30 minute mark or so, they're never really 3 hours.

I know, but still, they can easily fill up the usually 5 more matches with plenty of time

3 x title scrambles @ around 30min each = 1.5 hrs.

(...and that's without the inital entrances and faffing about before the bell!)

1 hour left for entrances, hype, video segments, interviews, and matches.... Noumenon sounds spot on to me.

Any word on the line-up for the ECW one?

I think it's great for the ECW guys. They're able to showcase 5 of their guys on PPV for 30mins or so... Peeps like Bourne (assuming he's a pick) must be chuffed (not to mention fiending for the #1 entry spot)... That's as much, if not more, PPV time than many of the top midcarders like MVP, not to mention ECW champs like Kane & Chavo have had all year!

Edit: WWE.com sez: Mark Henry v Matt Hardy v The Miz v Chavo Guerrero v Finlay...

Suprisingly no Bourne but, more notably, no Morrison either.

I really can't believe they left both Morrison and Bourne out of the ECW title scramble... two guys who without a doubt would have made the match. Well, if they're smart now...these two guys will have a feud with will no doubt carry the entire brand.

^^^Me neither!

Kinda makes sense that Hardy scrapes a win and then fued with Morrison, but we'll see...
