Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Triple H joins Raw Team Captain Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe against SmackDown Captain Shane McMahon, John Cena, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode in the Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match.
The battle lines have been drawn and the teams finalized in the Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, and the biggest names and most prominent rising stars in sports-entertainment will join forces in the battle for brand supremacy on the one night a year where Raw and SmackDown LIVE clash in head-to-head competition.
Just when it seemed the contest couldn’t get any bigger, unforeseen circumstances have resulted in a bombshell announcement. Following Jason Jordan’s injury at the hands of Bray Wyatt during this week’s Raw, 14-time World Champion Triple H has been selected to replace the gold-blooded Superstar at the fall classic!
In the wake of SmackDown bringing Raw under siege, Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahonselected Kurt Angle as Raw Team Captain and made it clear that his position with Monday Night Raw will be in jeopardy if he doesn’t completely show up the blue brand. In response, The Olympic Hero recruited the dominant Braun Strowman, followed soon after by intense competitors Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe. And though Angle picked Jordan for the fifth and final spot, The Eater of Worlds nixed those plans with a vicious attack on The Olympic Hero’s son, leading to Jordan being replaced by The King of Kings, who took down the gold-blooded Superstar with a wicked Pedigree.
The addition of Triple H intensifies what was already sure to be an epic clash. On the other side of the ring will stand Shane McMahon, who named himself SmackDown Captain after his sister appointed Angle to the helm of Team Red. At his side will be none other than WWE’s resident free agent and 16-time World Champion John Cena, 13-time World Champion Randy Orton, The Artist Known as Shinsuke Nakamura and the absolutely glorious Bobby Roode.
The Men’s Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Teams stand as an incredible mix of legendary and up-and-coming Superstars, but who will win the day as the two brands speed toward a collision for brand supremacy? Find out at Survivor Series, this Sunday at a special start time of 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.
Women’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Bayley joins Raw Team Captain Alicia Fox, Nia Jax, Asuka and Sasha Banks against SmackDown Team Captain Becky Lynch, Naomi, Carmella, Tamina and a Superstar still to be named in the 5-on-5 Women’s Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match.
As a crucial part of Raw and SmackDown’s battle for brand supremacy at Survivor Series, the 5-on-5 Women’s Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match promises to be an explosive encounter from start to finish.
Alicia Fox earned the right to be the Team Captain for Team Raw after upsetting Sasha Banksand Bayley in a Triple Threat Match. Miss Fox then wasted little time showing that she will be picking the cream of the crop to help lead the Team Red ladies to their second consecutive Survivor Series victory. With her first pick, Alicia tabbed Nia Jax, then selected the undefeated Asuka the following week. Then, after tapping out to the Bank Statement in tag team action, the eccentric Fox surprised everyone by adding Sasha Banks to the squad. Not to be denied, Bayley earned the final spot with a Triple Threat victory against Mickie James and Dana Brooke.
On the other side of the ring, Team SmackDown seems more than capable of taking the crown after falling to Team Raw in the Women’s Traditional Survivor Series Match last year. The blue brand’s squadron was hand-selected by SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan, and Becky Lynch won the right to be SmackDown Team Captain and lead her teammates Naomi, Carmellaand Tamina. But, after Charlotte Flair overcame Natalya to capture the SmackDown Women's Championship on Tuesday night and will now instead face Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, who is going to take The Queen's place on Team SmackDown?
Randy Orton qualifies for Men’s Traditional Survivor Series
Elimination Match
The Viper is set to strike once again at Survivor Series after becoming the first Superstar to be named to the Men’s Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match on Sunday, Nov. 19.
Randy Orton secured his spot by overcoming Sami Zayn in a SmackDown LIVE Survivor Series Qualifying Match, just one night after the Superstars of the blue brand brought Raw under siege with a surprise assault.
Monday Night Raw and SmackDown LIVE speed toward a collision for brand supremacy at Survivor Series, which members of Team Red will answer the call of Raw General Manager Kurt Angle?
Women’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team SmackDown is ready to roll at Survivor Series. The blue brand’s squadron for the Women’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match — in which the two teams battle in elimination fashion until every Superstar from one team is defeated — has been set, with Becky Lynch captaining the Daniel Bryan-selected corps of Charlotte Flair, Naomi, Carmellaand Tamina.
How The Irish Lass Kicker won the captaincy is a matter that’s not without controversy, as SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya — set for a bout with Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss at the fall classic — crashed the Fatal 5-Way contest that would determine the team leader and drilled Charlotte with a chair. Flair, presumably, will have something to say about that, though for now she falls in line behind Maiden Ireland alongside former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi, Ms. Money in the Bank and a second-generation Superstar who, with the help of Lana, is finally realizing her destructive potential.
As far as Team Raw goes, Alicia Fox earned the captaincy after upsetting Sasha Banks and Bayley in a Triple Threat Match on Monday night, and Miss Fox will clearly need the cream of the crop if she is to lead the Team Red ladies to their second consecutive Survivor Series victory.
Currently there is no announced members from either side for the Men's tag team match, however Alicia Fox, Bayley and Sasha Banks are on the RAW Women's team against Carmella, Becky Lynch and Tamina.
Any thoughts on which guys and gals will be taking the vacant spots?
