Michael Cole, Booker T, and Josh Mathews came out for WWE Smackdown. Josh went to the ring rather than the announcers' table.

Smackdown opens with World champion Randy Orton being interviewed by Josh Mathews inside the ring. He discusses his match against Christian at Money in the Bank. Christian appears on the Titantron and says he will become champion again. Christian says that Orton's father was a joke and he's just as pathetic as Cowboy Bob Orton. Orton says what is pathetic is Christian holding the title for five days.

Ezekiel Jackson defeated Ted DiBiase to retain the Intercontinental Title. The end came when DiBiase went for Dream Street, which Zeke turned into the Torture Rack for the submission win.

Daniel Bryan vs. Cody Rhodes is up next.

Backstage, Ted DiBiase was looking disappointed. Cody entered and handed him the paper bag. He said he would give him one more chance, but if he loses again he will personally come to the ring and put the bag over his head.

Cody Rhodes defeated Daniel Bryan.

Teddy Long tells a referee to warn Mark Henry and Big Show that if there is any physicality between the two when they have a face to face later, their match at the PPV will be canceled.

Kane comes into Long's office and thanks him for the match against Randy Orton. Kane says he doesn't feel like a monster anymore and asks Long what is happening to him. Long tells Kane that he's scaring the hell out of him.

Jinder was shown in the back getting pissed at a camera man.

Backstage, someone has spraypainted Randy Orton's private bus with "ORTON SUX. TEDDY LONG = MORON. CHRISTIAN = UNCROWNED WORLD CHAMPION." Christian comes across it and acts shocked and says he can't imagine anyone would do this..

-Sin Cara b. Sheamus.
Sheamus dominated in the beginning, but after Sin Cara's 20 millionth reversal, he reversed Celtic Cross into a roll up and won via pinfall. After the match, Barrett laid out Sheamus.
After the match, Wade Barrett lays out Sheamus.

- Christian was shown walking around the casino and claimed he found Orton's wallet. He took out $1,000 and bet it on No. 1 on a roulette table, because according to Orton's ID his birthday is April 1. "There is a joke there somewhere," says Christian. The ball landed on 20. "Looks like your lucks running out," Christian said.

- Teddy made his way down for the face off. Big Show entered the ring. Henry stayed on the ramp and they did their smack talk. Henry tried to enter the ring, but Teddy got in the way and said to save it for Sunday.

- Kelly Kelly beat Rosa Mendes. Loud pops for Kelly, as I guess no one expected to see her here.

- Johnny Curtis promo backstage. He says soon, the cat will be out of the bag, but pulls an elephant out of it and yells at an assistant in the room. He tells the man that the elephant in the room isn't until next week and rips up the stuffed animal.

- Justin Gabriel beat Heath Slater. Slater missed a top rope moonsault. Gabriel hit his 450 splash and got the pinfall victory.

- Kane defeated Randy Orton via count out. 30 seconds into the match, Christian walked onto the ramp to watch the match. Orton went for an RKO, Kane reversed it and clotheslined Orton out. Christian walked down the ramp got Orton to chase him around the ring to give Kane a victory via count out.
Sin Cara winning with Barrett taking out Sheamus could lead to a face turn from Sheamus HOPEFULLY... doubt it will be though. But I'd love a Sheamus face turn.

Nice little segment with the vandalism on Orton's bus, builds the tension up even further. If it's not Christian, who did it? The Cody/Ted crap annoys me already...

Gabriel over Slater? MITB Matches... Don't split these guys up, just praying it's just a match... Gabriel winning is good though. Prefer him then Slater.

Nice ending with Christian there, looks like a really great Smackdown. Actually sounds better than RAW seeing there wasn't much wrestling on RAW. Great build up to MITB and yes I'll be paying $5 for my HD Stream.

I think Barrett took him out because of MITB, same reason for Slater vs Gabriel happening.

I'd seriously love a Sheamus face turn. Gabriel & Slater should stay tag teams though, they're entertaining.

I liked Sheamus a lot when they first started to push him and I didn't care that his championship win came 'too fast' (though it really didn't because he did quite a bit of wrestling before that) but then they started to ruin him with that dumb King Sheamus bullshit and goddawful outfit they made him wear so I am glad they are starting to get him back into a serious role and not some dumbass with a cape and dollar store crown.

I have liked Barrett since he first appeared on NXT and they really needed to get him into a good feud so this is promising.

I also think that was done strictly for Money in The Bank but Barrett-Sheamus would be a good feud and has potential for some solid matches. BTW how many times have Bryan and Rhodes wrestled now, like 80?

Bryan/Rhodes feud is quite boring I must say. Hopefully after MITB they won't have to feud.

Barrett vs. Sheamus is something I'd look forward to feud-wise, both from the UK

Gabriel wrestling Slater I hope was just to promote the MITB match. I don't want WWE to split another tag team when they barely have any left.

Sheamus vs. Barrett would be an interesting feud if it does occur but I really want to see Barrett vs Orton. A Sheamus face turn by the end of the year would be good, with his look he should sell tons of merchandise to kids as a face.

Bryan vs. Rhodes needs to move to a different level. It is the same again every week, too repetitive by the booking team.

Excellent Smackdown this week, possible the best in awhile.

Thought both Daniel Bryan VS. Cody Rhodes [apart from the finish which just made DB look damn] and Sheamus/Sin Cara were really good matches. How ironic that Sheamus who I don't really rate much is involved in one of Cara's better matches since arrival, i guess the contrast in styles just made for an enjoyable match. Def agree about a Sheamus face turn, he needs that big time.

Wasn't so keen on the Orton/Christian stuff this week, I just think him spray painting his vericle and losing his money in a casino is just a little bit weak, and hardly the most nasty heel thing to do. The ending to the show was very heated however, and set the table nicely for the ppv, also it was nice to see Orton face someone other than Sheamus in the main event LOL.

I reckon Ted DiBiase's match sucked the most against Ezekiel, it was boring and slow. Maybe it's because Ezekiel has such a shitty moveset. Someone turn him into Lashley already ffs.

Sheamus/Sin Cara was actually enjoyable, the finish was awesome, It's good to see Sin Cara work with bigger guys because he begins to sell shit now compared to a few weeks ago.

Christian's Casino bit and the Spray Painting reminds me of Edge. Seriously, remember when Edge did that shit?

I wasn't a fan of the skits involving Christian/Orton either. Don't like it going in that direction.

Sheamus vs. Sin Cara was really good and much better than I expected it to be.

Yeah that much was terrible, I agree!
