SmackDown moving to 3 hours in January-ish?

I wouldn't be surprised at all with the USA move but it's weird for Friday to me. Maybe it's just conditioning tho lol I'm for it, I was mentioning today in the main chat that Raw has been a lot better at utilizing talent in most cases bc of the extra hour

It would be better as Hour Bloodline stuff and two hours of all different talent that don't get any TV time to be on as Smackdown hasn't been good bar the bloodline stuff and Cody needs new opponents asap.

Maybe it's just how USA wants to block out for programming, they might be light for the first half of the year

I’m fine with either because as previously mentioned the booking is actually good now so they can handle it and it helps with the extra talent the SmackDown brand specifically has now that it’s the home of Cody Rhodes and the Bloodline especially. You can let the main event breathe and still elevate midcard stories. My only hesitation is whomever is gettting next day tights better not edit the show down. Hulu having that gutted 90-minute show sucks. So I’d prefer 2 hours only if they can’t upload the full show.

My only confusion stems from the timetable. It’s one thing if you do a couple weeks of 3 hours and drop back, but they’re running them until next June. That’s over six months. Why revert back to 2 hours at that point?
