I came to the same conclusion. Closest wrestler to being a top guy in the past / currently and he had that angle with Ace and his wife. Makes sense to me for Eddie to win.

It definitely is. Feels like Impact couldn't lock down their mystery opponent in a timely manner and asked Swann to do it in case and when EY came thru said it fuck it and used both.

I see no indication that that would be the case. Fairly sure Eddie is a stand up guy.

I thought so too, but calling him a garbage human being seemed to imply he did something because I don't like Charlotte as a performer, but I'd never call her a garbage human being. She seems nice enough irl.
