“I’ve caught dives before so I didn’t think anything of it. As she jumped, I could tell something was off with it. It was either her head was hitting the floor or I was gonna dive and catch her. I dove and caught her. And the second I felt it, I had rolled over to get up because I had to crawl to where I was going, I felt my foot dangling from my leg…I could feel it detached. It was the grossest feeling that I’ve ever felt.”
“It was so much harder than I anticipated. I didn’t realize how much you use your leg for. Even just learning how to walk again was difficult. I was butt-scooting up stairs. And when [Fletcher] had to go to work, Robbie Eagles stayed with us for a little while.”
“It’d be like four in the morning and there was times where I would have to lay with my leg straight because if I moved it, it was just in pain. But this one [Fletcher] was the best because he’d be like no, tell those voices to shut up. You’re going to wrestle, you’re not going to just sit on this couch and mope. And yeah, he was by far the biggest supporter I could ever ask for.”

Fletcher in the same interview about AEW running different venues this year:

“Obviously with wrestling, the crowd makes it. It doesn’t exist without the crowd. I think these venues, it’s really reignited a lot of people’s passion backstage I want to say. Look, when you’re wrestling in arenas, it’s a different feeling. Like they’re still cool, yes, it’s an arena. But when you have these weird, wacky balconies up here and theaters, it really brings out a different feeling to an arena. That atmosphere, you can’t replicate it. So, yeah, it’s really brought alive the wrestlers’ passion again I want to say. Because everyone is just like — they’re so excited to get out there. So excited to be in the ring. We’re so blessed to have awesome fans that we get to wrestle in front of. And bringing that intimate atmosphere, it makes the experience better for everybody. Absolutely.”

I watched the interview yesterday. Sky still came off very shy but wants to learn n have crazy matches . Kyle came off like a star, very confident and very driven for more success. This dude is scary motivated

Can't go wrong with running more unique venues. That is something that was missing from the Mainstream Wrestling landscape, since WCW died.

Gimme a load of 5k venues with unique looks and vibes throughout a year over having half a dozen 70k stadium shows in the same timeframe...
