If people don't like Chael talking his way into big match ups maybe they should stop being so boring? Learn the entertainment aspect of the fight game. Maybe Ali should give these kids lessons

Debatable at best, Anderson could outstrike him sure but Chris is capable of standing with him if he fights like he normally does.

You either severely overrate Weidman's striking or underrate Silva's. If Silva is striking with some purpose and not just clowning/putting on a show he would hurt Weidman.

Anderson is a great striker sure but Weidman has heavy hands himself and can take him down, you saw the first round?

I watched the fight. Weidman has some power but that is it. He has no boxing technique at all and poor footwork. Silva was picking him apart and wasn't feeling threatened at all. Weidman walks forward throwing straight punches/hooks, that is the beginning and end of his stand up strategy.

It seems to work though, his footwork looked poor and his head movement was shit but he said he did that to eat shots to show he's not afraid (a huge bonusIMO, how many guys did't Silva beat before they steeped into the Octagon?

Confidence is probably Weidman's best asset against Silva, true. Again though, I can't give Weidman too much credit when it is so apparent to me that Silva beat himself being a goon.

He's clowned in most fights though, don't get me wrong I'd love to see him clown someone in the clinch like he did Forrest (I THINK) but I don't see it happening vsChris.
