Am with Skywalker on this one, the key is make the IC Title almost as important as the WWE, and make it a stepping stone for the big one. Did wonders for the likes of Bret Hart, Warrior and even Orton.
Not to mention Rock & Triple H, who--as far as I can recall--were the last IC Champs to really be treated as #1 contenders

- A title unification match between WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose and WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston is likely for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view next month.
Bit strange that it's being proposed for EC and not WrestleMania itself, but either way i'm all for this.

Hope Reigns wins this unified title at 'Mania if it's proposed for EC then. Could be against Dean to break up The Shield or against Big E and then Dean gets jealous afterwards because he feels it's his belt.

Big E shouldn't lose to reigns who has blown up in solo matches. Langston is better and more ready to use the IC belt as the old fashioned springboard to the top. Reigns should slowly split off but be given a manager who is a legend

Who was it that said Piper should be Reigns' manager? I agree.

They may as well, currently nothing is being done with the US title. With this being done thought I can see a few of the guys being released.

With the WWE unifying the IC and US title I hope they bring back the Cruiserweight title, for guys like Kidd, Gabriel, Sin Cara.

Still think the US/IC title should be in the chamber, if you already have Brock facing Orton or Cena on the card, time to experiment with the chamber imo. You can definitely showcase a few new key guys by having them kill themselves in a harsh gimmick match like that.

Me! Basically do what they wanted to do with O'Haire before hbo. I think it would benefit reigns to have a mentor in and out the ring, and Piper is a step from the norm which is Heyman. Piper should be the guy in his ear to play off that segment

I guess question becomes do they trust the younger guys in the chamber?

It would have to depend on which young guys they use. No doubt Big E would do well if he just follows the powerhouse wrestler formula. A couple good spot/bump monkeys are always necessary in the chamber, so the likes of Rollins or Kingston would be an excellent fit. I don't really know about Ambrose (not impressed so far).

They've been trusting them for the past few years in the WHC Chamber tbh. Kofi's already been in a few and I think most of them would do just fine as long as they're prepared for how fucking painful that Chamber is.

Yeah I know they trusted Kofi, but I think the participants are limited.

- Eliminate Brock, Dave, Randy, Punk, Cena, and Bryan.
- Eliminate Rey as they wouldn't risk his health before mania
- Eliminate Sheamus as you don't go in there after surgery on both shoulders
- Eliminate Dolph, Christian, and ADR because of their concussions recently

So what does that leave? Big E, Ambrose, Kofi, Miz ???

I mean I doubt they throw Ryback in one to stiff fools. I guess that just places all the Shield in the match to play up on where their loyalties lie

DING DING DING

The ladder did wonders for a bunch of guys waiting to break out from that midcard position. A new gimmick match would benefit them even more. It's an actual spotlight that would be shown on them. It also breaks up the shoe-horning of this match for a title or Mania match. Why not use it for a few guys who quite frankly are not going to be on the big card, atleast throw them into something that will leave people remember their name and be a potential opponent for the big belt at Extreme Rules.

It's really not as much as a trust thing as much as it is a lack of mid-card thing. Axel would be fine in it, Fandango probably too. Drew's already been in one but he's in the jobber group so that wouldn't work. My problem with a midcard chamber isn't trust, it's that hardly anyone deserves to be in it. The midcard has been like the US middle class in recent years but hopefully that'll change with only one world title.

The thing about one IC title and one US title if they kept both is they need to define the divisons.

WWEWHC - Orton, Cena, Batista, Brock, Trips, Taker, Rock, Punk, Bryan, Kane
IC - Langston, Sheamus, ADR, RVD, Jericho, Mysterio, Show, Henry, Reigns, Wyatt
US - Ambrose, Miz, Kofi, Fandango, Sandow, Wade, Dolph, Rollins, Sin Cara, Christian

I think all 3 belts can be sustainable with proper set divisions, but that they can't have two equivalent belts. Instead of unifying them, I'd be all for a show of champion vs champion with pride on the line, and then them just defining the divisions and who is chasing each belt.

The way I set it up sees the top of the card look like the top of a card, and is what the undisputed title needs for a year or so. The IC title is filled with former world champs thanks to the WHC debacle after edge retired, but it adds so much credibility at least when you used those fluffed resumes to put over Wyatt, reigns, and Langston vs those guys. The last division is youth filled, but it has 3 former world champs in Miz, Dolph, and Christian. That's what I would do, along with still keeping the tag division a focus

I man who are wee kidding? If one gets scrapped some Cruiserweight title will pop up, so just say fuck it and create a sustainable division
