People say the ratings are bad and compared to Raw/SD!, they are. But compared to 90% of the shows currently on Sci-Fi, they are very good. Hence the reason why the channel are looking into agreeing a contract extension to showing the brand. However, ECW is a glorified development territory now, so it doesn't need to expand to two hours. Also, the brand currently has about a dozen talent on its roster, with only a handful of those worthy of viewer attention, so it would be a foolish move to expand to two hours.

Over-all, no, ECW shouldn't expand to two hours.

Why Do You Care?
they could do an 1hr and a half show. they actually do have enough ppl for that length of time, they just dont use them (balls mahoney, tommy dreamer, little guido, stevie richards) throw in some promos and you got a good 1hr and a half wrestling show.

With the way it stands now, it doesn't need 2 hours. CM Punk, Johnny Nitro, Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, and maybe even Kevin Thorne need to be put up as "huge stars for their brand. When the ECW champion can be seen as "on par" with the other two (I know it never really will be, but Lashley and Big Show had it close), then they can move to two hours, maybe move a few people from the other brands, add a couple more titles. Also, I loved what they did with having Big Show facing top stars from the other brands. If they could build a champion up that much, it wouldn't be a bad idea for a heel champion to do (CM Punk?).

i think they need 1hr and a half :p

Yeah, that's definately acceptable. But they would need to gain an earlier time-slot in Canada becuz people probably wouldn't wanna stay up until 1:30 to watch it. But then again, if they are willing to stay up until 1, why not?

Sorry I have to disagree, ECW is doing well right now (excluding last weeks ratings) and I feel that if they add another hour onto the show the ratings will not change because the show never changes. Two hours would be okay if ECW had a roster like Smackdown but it doesnt so 1 hour is good enough.

I can't see ECW 2 hours the way it is right now. 1 hour is fine for this small roster to add on, their roster can't put up with the rosters of Raw/SD. This show isn't bad to watch and plus this is where the talents fully developed and then from there they get moved to the 2 hour shows (Lashley) like a Promotion . Therefore, ECW is fine the way it is and the timing should not be changed.
