A man was shot by a Florida deputy outside of the WWE Performance Center this afternoon in Orlando, Florida, WFTV is reporting.

The shooting took place around 1 PM this afternoon. A witness speaking to WFTV claimed that the same man was at the Performance Center recently and was arrested at that time.
PWInsider

WWE then released the following statement:

Unfortunately, a deranged individual with no WWE affiliation, who had a court order prohibiting him from being on WWE property, was involved in an incident with an Orange County sherriff’s deputy in the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center. We defer to the Orange County Sherriff’s (Office) for further comment and information.

– Orange County Sheriffs held a press conference at the WWE performance Center in regards to today’s shooting. Below are more details:

* Police responded to a trespassing call at 1:30PM EST and were told the man had a knife. They issued repeat warnings to him but he charged at them and one of the officers felt his life was in danger so he fired on the man, hitting him in the torso. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Corporal Steve Wall and Deputy Dave Richardson were the first two officers to arrive and Wall fired the shot.

* The man who was shot was obsessed with one of the female WWE talents and had been banned from the property after being arrested there a few weeks ago. Police have encountered him possibly three times in the past month. They did not say he was a wrestler and apparently was not connected to anyone who worked at the Performance Center.

* They would not release the man’s identity as they are waiting to notify family and others. His condition was critical to stable but he was still in surgery. The man has an arrest record with previous charges for violence, robbery and battery on an officer.

Jesus Christ. What a day for wrestling

Right? Crazy news day.

I hate this news. This can take away from some's training. And they don't need that. Idiot. People are trying to make a living in there.
