Well the thing is, MVP and Drew actually took some semi-heavy spots. Shelton didn't. MVP was also in a little bit more, but yeah. You know what? I kinda feel like saying they should have had two different ladder matches consecutively. Have the two people who grab the briefcases (or some object of equivalent value) go up against each other in a regular match afterwards. Winner gets the MITB contract.

I would prefer to see them just leave out MVP since he looks like he's shitting himself every time he takes a bump, and possibly Kane since he's pretty worthless. I would say Matt or Bourne, but man those guys took some sick bumps. That hip toss Bourne took from the top of the ladder was immense.

While I do think that would be a pretty good idea they probably wouldn't have had enough time for two seperate ladder matches unless they just made the two matches quite short, they'd still be able to showcase each wrestler better. That would be much better then using five guys in one match while the others sit outside the ring doing nothing.

They made a huge fuss about Drew getting in MITB and he was one of the favourites to win imo and they really didn't use him at all, I think I saw him in the ring twice all up and both times he wasn't doing much. Still better then what Benjamin was doing, he didn't even have one crazy spot this year like most other years.

Bourne was bumping like a fucking pro in that match. Also, how dead the crowd was, I doubt they really give a shit about regular matches anymore. Could easily throw two 20-30 min ladder matches in there with 6 competitors each if the WWE is already so content with just throwing whatever somewhat known and established mid-carder they have into them.

Bourne and Hardy must have taken the most punishment in that match, they took so many bumps whereas everyone else got off pretty lightly. Ziggler had a few bad bumps too I think, I wish he had done a little more.

Yeah they could have easily made time for two ladder matches, get rid of the tag title match which was a waste of time and the Women's match or something, then the two winners of those face off in a short match since they'll be tired after their ladder matches anyway, would be much better then one crappy clustered ladder match.

Oh yeah, fucking Matt, forgot about him. He took some sick bumps, especially on his back. Poor dude, his body is already fucked up enough. Me and nou felt legit bad for him.

Not a fan of two ladder matches. Would just feel like gimmick overkill to me, especially if they're consecutive.

The tag match should have been on the card and should have had at least five more minutes, with five taken off whatever the fuck Bret and Vince were doing. How long did that shit go on for? Twenty minutes?

I still think Hardy's bump when Swagger pushed the horizontal ladder out from under his feet was absolutley sick, Matt should get a push just for that bump

Yeah, they could have given any of the healthy guys some of the bumps but instead they choose Matt, one of the most unhealthy guys out there lol. They could have given Benjamin something to do by taking some of Matt's bumps.

Vince/Bret really dragged on, 10mins tops would have been all they needed tbh, the tag match really suffered from not getting enough time.

Hardy would've put his hands up to take the bumps. The wrestlers set the match up themselves, with a little help from the agents, and I'm certain those spots would have been Matt's ideas.

Sick bump - yes. Hardy should get a push - God no.

MITB match: Easily the worst one, way too many guys in it. And awfully short too, basically it was Hardy doing a bunch of crazy shit and Bourne/Dolph doing something while Matt rested. Shelton pulled off a sweet Frankensteiner that sent MVP over the ropes as a powerbomb counter from the ladder.

Shelton: He's got charisma actually, great facials too. Mic work isn't the best in the world, but he gets almost no promo time so most people just live in 2007 and say he sucks. His US Title promos were very solid and borderline great going into WM25. He had some nice interaction with Christian. But since then he's been nonexistent. He needs a real feud at first (Dolph, Drew and Punk all a possibility), without him getting buried like in his last SD feud against Morrison. I love the guy to death, but it's a little late for him. I would be happy if he took Haas's advice and left WWE though. He'd fit in well in ROH and TNA. The money's not there though, so he'll likely stay a midcarder in Vince's pocket.

I don't think this MITB was short. It was definitely longer than last year's and overall better too. They had some...unique...spots. I give them credit for keep inventing new things to do in MITB because eventually there is only a certain number of spots one can do with a ladder making it look original and make it look cool. Some spots in ladder matches just look awkward and don't come across well, they have done a great job in MITB keeping it fresh. Although Kofi's stilts was pretty lame.

I really don't see how Shelton has any charisma at all. He can wrestle, but when it comes to getting people excited about his wrestling without resorting to spots, he falls well short. He doesn't have that ability to draw the crowd in, which is why he makes such a horrible heel.

btw, I also thought MVP fucked up that hurricanrana spot. He made it look really awkward.

I think MITB went 13 minutes this year, way too short for my tastes.

Shelton shows a lot of expression in his matches, I wouldn't say he's so great that people react to everything he does. But for losing so much and the lack of character development, he's about as over as anyone could be. He's just a signature pose, or a million dollar catchphrase (Not "Ain't No Stoppin' Me Now!!!" >_>) away from him getting the reactions someone like R-Truth or Matt Hardy gets.

And MVP messed up their powerbomb spot last year too! :smh He sucks anyway so it's not surprising, although he's better than Kofi.

I mean really, what else will he ever do? He's been in every MITB since its inception and hasn't had a meaningful feud since Chris Jericho in 2005. What happened? I know he hasn't the mic skills but certainly his athleticism could've made up for it by now right?

Should he just try his hand in TNA?

lol, great thread title, I laughed.

It's so true, though, this is practically the only time we ever see him do anything. His mic skills are meh but I'm sure he could get a lot better if he works on it but they never give him a chance to work on it. He's good in the ring but they never have anything good for him besides an MITB match once a year. Let him work on his mic skills and give this guy a fucking chance to be at least a bit important. I know he needs a few improvements here and there, like making the crowd give a shit when he is talking and getting reactions, but he does next to nothing so it's expected that he will kinda be shitty at that.

Not sure if he would benefit in TNA. I kinda think they might actually use him a little more.....but, at the same time, it seems to be his mic skills and lack of getting the crowd interested him holds him back. Considering wrestling is basically a soap opera, you need to be able to talk since it's a big part of it and he clearly has some trouble with that. Actual wrestling, though, he is good at, but he needs to have the whole package (or at least most of it) to get anywhere.

Not sure why he even showed up to this year's MITB match when he just slept on the ground for most of the match.
