Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos
Having defeated The Shield to reclaim the Raw Tag Team Titles, Cesaro & Sheamus will battle SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos this Sunday.
They say that anything can happen in WWE, and Cesaro & Sheamus just proved that old chestnut right. Thanks to a surprise appearance by The New Day that threw Raw into chaos, the two-man wrecking crew commonly known as “The Bar” dethroned Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins as Raw Tag Team Champions, thereby swapping themselves in for The Shield in the epic Champion vs. Champion bout against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos this Sunday at Survivor Series.
While the upset delays the long-awaited dream match that has been brewing since the summer on Twitter, it also changes the stakes in a major way for the two teams, both of whom have now notched multiple reigns this year alone. For Cesaro & Sheamus, on their third stint with Team Red’s titles, a match with The Usos (fresh off of trading title reigns with The New Day in a series of instant classics) is a chance to prove they are indeed the embodiment of excellence in WWE’s tag team division.
Meanwhile, Jimmy & Jey, who have gone through perhaps the most radical reinvention of any team in 2017, have a chance to prove they’re more than just the big fish in the Team Blue pond. The twins have been angling for a fight with Raw’s Tag Team Champions since WrestleMania time, and now, with the opportunity at their doorstep, the pressure is on to deliver. The Shield would have posed enough of a challenge for them to do so, but now, ironically, the only thing standing in the way of The Uso Penitentiary is one near-unbreakable Bar.
The Shield vs. The New Day
At Survivor Series, two of the greatest factions in WWE history will go head-to-head when The Shield battle The New Day in a dream showdown that everybody wanted to see, but never saw coming.

Prior to Nov. 6, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were standing tall as the Raw Tag Team Champions and were poised to battle SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos at WWE’s fall classic, Roman Reigns was on the shelf, and four-time Tag Team Champions The New Day were driving their opponents crazy on the blue brand and waging unforgettable battles with Jimmy & Jey for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
However, that all changed at the end of Monday Night Raw, when Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods suddenly reemerged in Team Red territory, teasing “Under Siege Part II” and inciting a commotion that cost Ambrose & Rollins to lose their championships to Cesaro & Sheamus.
The following week, a fully reunited Shield interrupted Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon during her tense encounter with General Manager Kurt Angle and challenged The New Day to a Raw vs. SmackDown slugfest. The rest, as they say, is history.
Forget the numbers advantage. Forget psychological warfare. At Survivor Series, get ready as two of the most dominant trios ever to step into a WWE ring show up and throw down. Will The Power of Positivity triumph at WWE’s second-longest running pay-per-view? Or will The Hounds get their justice? Find out this Sunday, streaming live on the WWE Network, with a special start time of 7 ET/4 PT.
Raw Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos
Which brand has the better Tag Team Champions? Raw’s Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins and SmackDown’s Jimmy & Jey Uso will answer that question when they brawl in a battle for brand supremacy on Sunday, Nov. 19, at WWE Survivor Series.
These highly-acclaimed titleholders are no strangers to one another, having exchanged pleasantries a few months ago in response to a WWE.com poll asking who could dethrone the Raw Tag Team Titleholders. The tag teams traded scathing words via Twitter, as both duos seemed keen on the idea of finding out which tandem fit the bill as WWE’s best tag team champions.
Since then, both teams have faced tremendous obstacles. Ambrose & Rolllins have proven to be nearly unstoppable, most recently defying the odds of a hellacious 5-on-3 Tables, Ladders & Chairs Handicap Match alongside Kurt Angle. Meanwhile, The Usos lost their coveted titles to The New Day but got their retribution when they overcame them in an epic Hell in a Cell Matchto win back the tag team gold.
With both pairs of Superstars sitting atop their respective brand’s Tag Team divisions, it’s time to finally settle the score and see who is the better tandem. The 30th annual WWE Survivor Series will play host to a battle for brand supremacy between Raw and SmackDown LIVE, and both tag team titleholders will be determined to prove their dominance.
Will it be Raw’s Ambrose & Rollins or five-time Tag Team Champions The Usos from SmackDown LIVE who prove to be the best duo in sports-entertainment?
What do you expect from this match?
