The Title says it all.
Here's a brief glimpse of what I found out about my Family heritage in My Family Tree book that My Grandfather made In 2019 before he passed away:

Quite the lineage there. I am not gonna do that online stuff where my DNA knowledge is accessible to China. I'm Polish-American, my Family moved to the United States in the early 1900s. My Grandpa was born in 1912 is about all the knowledge I know. My Mom's side of the Family I really don't think I'll ever know that.

My Grandfather served in Viatnam and a few other Police Academies,
So I'm sure he used his skills to get a Books worth of Our Family Heritage privately somehow... Even I dnt know how to look that stuff up. I do wonder though About my Biological Dad's Family Heritage.

Far as I care, I'm Gitxsan and my parents were both chiefs but agreed that's for suckers and abdicated their spots to their younger siblings.

They were smart.

My Mum's side is full Scottish, my Dad's side is English & Irish (my last name is so Irish it hurts), both sides moved to NZ (my Mum's side when she was a child and my Dad's side before my Dad was born). Apparently, I'm distantly related to some royalty somewhere back in history, lol. So I'm Kiwi, Scottish, English & Irish?

My Mum's side is full Scottish, my Dad's side is English & Irish (my last name is so Irish it hurts), both sides moved to NZ (my Mum's side when she was a child and my Dad's side before my Dad was born). Ever heard of Thomas Beckett? He was royalty from England. My Great Grandmother was a Beckett. So we're related to Thomas Beckett.

Well, I guess I'll do a serious post. My paternal side migrated to the US from Germany in the early 1930s. Even changed the last name, which is my last name. I even carry my grandfather's name as my middle. Was a very strong man, and the reason I became a soldier. My grandfather married my grandmother (who was Cherokee) shortly after arriving to the states.

On my maternal side, my grandfather (who was very hands on with my siblings and my upbringing) was British and Cherokee. His wife, was also Cherokee. My siblings look more like our mother, dark hair and darker skin. While my DNA inheritance was mainly the German genetics. I have the height and build of my paternal grandfather. I'm 6'2" while all three of my siblings are 5'9" and under.

My Grandfather on my Fathers side of the family believed that somewhere long ago the lineage came from Germany. We eventually found out after he died that apparently the lineage started in England before, then traveled to Germany before eventually going to the United States.

My Grandmother is half Indian I believe. I don't really know anything more than that.

I know nothing about my Mothers side of the family. Haven't really communicated with them in ages. If I were to guess there is some Irish in the family somewhere in the distant past based on my Grandfathers last name and appearance.

I don't know my lineage too well bc my family has been in East Texas for a good while, possibly even settled before it was a state but I haven't confirmed that. Had a couple outlaws, one shot a sheriff in the 1800s and shit.

Before that, everyone seems to think we were poor English folk and the last name of Weaver fits that lol. As far as my birth dad's side, idk bc I haven't talked to them in forever but his last name is Irish which is funny bc so is my step-dad's lineage (I have his last name as well)

My dad's side is 100% Italian and my mom's side is a mix of Polish and German. So, I'm 50% Italian and 25% Polish and 25% German.

 

[Adapting]

Both parents born in Italy and I was born in America. In the future, I want to take that DNA test to determine all the specifics. Would be cool.

My paternal great-great-grandfather was born in Germany, as far as I'm aware. He came over in the mid 1870's, and my Great-Grandfather was born in Iowa in the 1880's. My grandfather was born in 1924 and my Dad was born in 1957. So my heritage is 50% German.

On my Mother's side, my Grandmother explains that we're mostly Irish with a little French. Not sure the family history though.

So I'm 50% German, 45% Irish, 5% French.
