Yh his match with Randy was good and it would have been annoying to have had to lose it but I don't think Seth is really that bothered.

I'm not saying he was, just that cashing in and becoming WWE Champion was a complete 180 and a lot more of an eventful end to his evening than just losing to Randy would have been. The same would be true even if he had beaten Orton.

I'm very happy for Seth and WWE made the right move here. It not only shocked people, but it made the end of Mania more exciting. Reigns will still get pushed, we all know that. Just Seth the was the better choice for right now.

I wouldn't have been able to control myself if i was backstage and got told mid way through the show that I'm winning the title at the end.

I have to say, I never saw it coming and i'm glad. I am juiced he got the title over Reigns, I just really hope he doesnt end up a champ like @Snowman 's favorite TNA guy.

You mean he's not an amazing tale of an underdog getting to a point he had no business getting to? :please: How dare you.

I think that'd be my general reaction too, but with my mentality, I think I'd also be struck with a feeling of (mostly irrational) paranoia, fearing that as long as there's still time left to go before the main event, there's always the chance that they could revert back to the original plan. So until the participants actually came out for the main event match to begin (because by then, it'd be too late for them to change anything), I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. But that's me.

Agreed.

The fact that they did this and let Rollins look like the ultimate heel is simply awesome.

Honestly bet he was relieved, though it would take an honest moment for him to admit as much.

I agree about being relieved.

In my assessment, the backlash against Roman Reigns was less about him becoming champion and more about him becoming champion due to the predictable storyline that has been discussed since last spring....Reigns winning the Rumble and going on to defeat the unstoppable Lesnar at Wrestlemania.

Now that the predictable storyline did not happen, I think Reigns will become World Champion at a different event and may be given a fairer shake by the fans.

It's great they did change the plan, Sika is just being a selfish bitch for his son and doesn't realize how bad it would've been if Reigns just flat out won clean.

I'm pretty sure Reigns would've won clean if Brock had not re-signed with WWE and then the cash-in would've happened on Reigns anyway.

Predictability has never seemed to matter before. I also question just how many people were aware of the plans to have him beat Lesnar for the title since it's not as if everyone reads dirtsheets.

I think the obvious blame goes to Daniel Bryan and the fact that people are just far more invested in him than they are/were with Reigns, and now that Reigns isn't champion and is away from the main scene entirely, the negative reactions for him are starting to diminish a bit.
