Seinfeld thread.

1: a huge stand up act? It is comedy writing at it's finest point of mediocrity. Actually, i should give Larry David more credit, he was funny. If Seinfeld was so great, where are they all now? Do you watch that show Elaine made? Me neither. Larry Davids new comedy shows? Nope.

You can put cheap little insults but Seinfeld on the comedy stand up specter is at par with Gallager and Carlos Mencia, both of which im sure are much "wittier" than we all give credit to.

Seinfeld is a great stand-up comedian. He's right up there with George Carlin.

I agree Seinfeld is the most controversial show of all time. Some love it, some hate it. You (from what I recall by that Office part) have a different sense of humour. I for example like Seinfeld a lot but dislike the Office. It's two different comedy shows for two different types of people. But the fact that you like it doesn't mean it's shit.

P.S. I watched that show Elaine made, it wasn't that bad.

Yeah, we can totally disagree. I dont think the office is amazing, as the last couple seasons have been anything but decent, but i am stating it is better written and is better put together than Seinfeld...IMO...(obvious since im typing it)

I just hate the fact most seinfeld fans think of it as one of the best comedies of all time. You really want to compare it to Cheers, or Roseanne? If so ity1:

It was ok at it's time, but like going back to your n64 and playing goldeneye again, hindsight is 20/20 and it should be easy to see it was great then, and is mediocre (at best) now.

Not a huge fan of Seinfeld tbh, it's like The Simpsons in a weird way, I can watch an episode of it but it NEVER makes me laugh or anything, it's just watchable imo.

I thought we were discussing opinions, and if i think it is shit, in my world it is just that. You can disagree, but i didnt come in hoping for you to change my mind.

Heel gimmick? Consistency = clarity. I am entitled to my opinion, and just because you disagree and like different shows should NOT make you feel i'm trying to lower you because of your opinion, i just disagree.

As i stated before, i think most (close to all) seinfeld fans hold a standard to their program that is actually way above where it really is. I could say Office is the best show ever, or It's Always sunny (which i actually think IS up there) or we could go bold and say the Dick Van Dyke show was amazing, the only difference is you (might) would avoid a thread about my favorite show, whereas i feel im entitled to post wherever and about whatever i want in this forum. It isn't being "heel," and we arent even discussing Wrestling.
