We begin our proceedings by focusing on the Grand Championship match between reigning champion Jobber Doink and their assigned contender for this event The Fourth Wall. As we have a tie - we are reminded the rules regarding the event championship:

- everyone is eligible to win the belt - irrespective of how many times they have taken part in the WPC
- if more than two people are tied in 1st place - the belt is vacated all predictors tied in 1st place will be the only predictors eligible to compete for the belt at the next event
- the challenger has the advantage part one - if two predictor are tied for 1st, the champion loses the tie
-the challenger has the advantage part two - if two predictor are tied for 1st (and the champion is not present in the tie) - then the lowest ranked predictor wins the tie

Coming into this event Chris had an overall differential of +39, whilst Swerve's was +24. This means as the lowest ranked predictor Swerve wins the tie and is the new Grand Prix Event Champion. Not only is Swerve the champion - but they now require to win the green belt one more time to earn a shot at the Grand Championship via 'Option-E.'.
