World Prediction Championship 2022 Event #5 Results

We start off proceedings by first focusing on the WPC Super Series, which has been going on for the first first events. We saw a total of sixteen predictors, battling in four round robins groups. The winners advances to the semi and during this event, the very best from Series battle for trophy. A trophy that will earn the winner an anytime challenge or any championship of their choice. Will it be Jeff or will it be Project Johnny to become the inaugural winners?

Congratulations to Jeff on winning the Super Series and the championship shot that comes with it. In order to cash in the shot, all you have to do is post in thread or private message me to inform me which event you want to challenge for e.g.;

- if Juice is challenging Fourth for the Donut Championship at Event #99, and you wish to challenge for that belt. After a winner was determined between Juice & Fourth - you would immediately challenge for the belt on the same event card.


We now focus on the Grand Championship - with Jeff looking to break the record of title defence in a row for the big belt. His challenger, a newcomer to WPC in Doink. Who will walk away from this battle with their hands held high and all the glory that comes with possessing the big belt.

With a tie taking place between Chris & Juice we refer to the rules for the Event Championship:

- everyone is eligible to win the belt - irrespective of how many times they have taken part in the WPC
- if more than two people are tied in 1st place - the belt is vacated all predictors tied in 1st place will be the only predictors eligible to compete for the belt at the next event
- the challenger has the advantage part one - if two predictor are tied for 1st, the champion loses the tie
-the challenger has the advantage part two - if two predictor are tied for 1st (and the champion is not present in the tie) - then the lowest ranked predictor wins the tie

Prior to the event Chris had a differential of +18, whilst Juice's was just +4 - meaning that as the lowest ranked predictor Juice wins the title as is now the new WPC Grand Prix Event Champion.

Overall Standings

In line with the next previous confirmed information, the GC Division returns to the WPC with:
Jeff, Jobber Doink [Grand Champion] , Chris [!nteractive Champion] , Fourth and Jimmy King currently find themselves in 'Grand Championship Division'. Despite having only lost the belt at Event #5, Jeff sits at the top of the GC Division and therefore is the automatic #1 ranked contender and so will challenge for the belt at Event #6.

We also know that Chris will defend the !nteractive Championship for the first time this season, as confirmed in the March Update and will take on Lethal Banks.

Juice becomes the new Grand Prix Event Champion at the previous event and joins those currently in possession of a singles title.

The WPC Hardcore Championship will also be debut at Event #6, with no one currently holding the belt or in the GC Division able to compete for the belt. The Juice Prediction Authority have decided that HoHo will take on Project Johnny - with the winner become the inaugural champion.

It has been confirmed that Event #6 will take place this coming weekend, but that during Wrestlemania Weekend - multiple events will be booked.
