she has been face for a while now.Wasn't Naomi a heel? I can't even remember.
TNA's downward spiral happened almost immediately after Styles left. Either way that isn't that important.Who? Who would've had the mainstream appeal, mental and physical toughness to do what Cena did?
I can sit and rack my brain for hours and not come up with anyone in the entire business since 2005 that could be a guy who generates over 125 mil in merch sales every year, who will learn Mandarin and whatever India speaks in order to be an ambassador to help the company break into those tough markets.
AJ didn't keep tna above water, he wasn't even their face of the company. Got replaced by Christian and Angle only to play their lackeys, was Flairs lackey and outside of few months of TNA fuckery has always been a midcard act.

Everytime a top guy who crosses over into mainstream leaves, the company always experiences lean times.TNA's downward spiral happened almost immediately after Styles left. Either way that isn't that important.
As for WWE it doesn't matter who would have replaced him, someone would have. WWE has had it's Hogans, Flairs, Harts, Michaels, Foleys, Takers, Austins, Rocks, Hunters, Lesnars, and when Cena retires, you honestly think WWE is dying? Get real. Someone else will take the mantle. Or it'll survive on name alone. Most shows are ordered now a days because it's WWE. The need for a single draw is dying in wrestling anyway.
