There’s a pretty good interview with Steve Austin and Sports Illustrated’s “Extra Mustard” feature this week, talking about his absence at WrestleMania 31, original plans for WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, the ongoing injuries of Daniel Bryan and more.

With regard to WrestleMania 32 next year in his home state of Texas, the WWE Hall of Famer said he was “pretty damn sure” that he’ll be in Arlington for the pay-per-view. “It’s my home state and it just makes sense.”

Stone Cold also shot down online rumors that he had any heat with Vince McMahon over the cease-and-desist order that took down some of his merchandise, and John Cena for adding a springboard stunner to his moveset.

“Lately there’s been a lot of speculation regarding all this heat, bad blood, and animosity between myself and Vince. And it couldn’t be any further from the truth. I have an outstanding relationship with Vince and the WWE right now. There were a few trademark issues, but that was just a minor thing that got resolved in a very amicable conversation I had with their lawyers.”

“There were even people saying I was hot that John Cena was using a version of the stunner. Man, there’s not a bigger John Cena fan on Planet Earth than Steve Austin. There’s no one I respect more on that crew than Cena. If he wanted to use the ‘Stone Cold Stunner’ exactly as it was, I’d have no problem with it, and that’s the bottom line.”

Austin also told SI that he has a big announcement forthcoming, and that his followers will “devour” the news. We now know officially that Stone Cold will not return for the upcoming season of WWE Tough Enough on the USA Network. You can check out more from the “Extra Mustard” interview with the Attitude Era legend at the link provided above.

If he doesn't wrestle one final match (and it's incredibly likely that he won't), then he'll likely end up as the guest host of Wrestlemania next year. Because it's in Texas and Austin hosting a Wrestlemania would complete a trifecta since The Rock and Hulk Hogan have both hosted one already.

I would be very glad to see Austin at next years mania. He won't be wrestling I'm sure as he would've already done that by now. But, we could see him deliver some stunners to a few folks and like lockard said "host" the show.
