They could work it that way, but she would have been in police custody. I don't see her breaking out of that part. She beat herself up good lol.

True. But I may have a few ideas for that. I may even write/post a fan script ;)

I would hate the franchise most likely if they made Sidney the killer. I am still ticked about what Kevin did to Sarah in I know what you did last summer.

If they kill Sidney or make her the killer what was the point? I mean have her suffer for 20 years and then kill her?

Scream 4 bombed at the box office. With that "Fresh" feel gone for the next sequel, I can't see it doing as well as Scream 4.

Sorry Craven, you had your chance, but Scream is done.

I disagree. Scre4m wasn't that bad. And it can go on.

None of this is confirmed, it's just rumored
It may come as no huge surprise that Marley Shelton, who played Deputy Judy Hicks in Scream 4, is predicted to return for the next installment. What is more surprising is that Duane Martin, who portrayed Joel Jones in Scream 2, is also rumored to pop up again in Scream 5.

The two fresh faces we may see joining the cast are Johnny Simmons (The Conspirator, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) and Tiya Sircar ( 17 Again, Friends With Benefits).

Again, whether any, or all, of these rumors have a strong basis in reality is unknown at this point, but I take the fact that these kinds of whispers are coming down the pike to be very encouraging. I think all of the actors listed above would be fitting additions to Scream 5 and the more I encounter information about alleged cast members, the more hopeful I become that this movie may actually get made.

Well here I am with some new news.

Neve Campbell on 'Scream 5': 'I'm not sure they're going to make it'

Actress says she may finally have seen the last of Ghostface…

Neve Campbell has cast doubts on the possibility of another Scream movie being made.

Scream 4, released in 2011, reactivated the slasher franchise after an 11-year break. It saw Campbell revive her role as long-suffering heroine Sidney Prescott, the perennial target of a mysterious killer known as Ghostface. Scream favourites Courteney Cox and David Arquette also returned.

Scream 4 failed to match the box office success of its predecessors, but still grossed a respectable $97 million (£61 million) worldwide after hitting cinemas in April 2011. That September, director Wes Craven (pictured) suggested that another instalment was more than likely, saying: "Odds are that there will be a Scream 5."

However, when a fan questioned him about the sequel on Twitter last November (2012), Craven admitted that he had "no news". Now Campbell has speculated that the series could be over for good.

Asked by Collider whether there was any chance of Scream 5, she replied: "We'll see. I'm not sure they’re going to make it, to be honest. If that were to come up again and they were to approach me, I'd have a chat with them about it."

Campbell, 39, will next be seen in a TV movie called An Amish Murder, which premieres on January 6 US network Lifetime.

This is bad news. :(
