First of all, there's no reason afaik that these two roles actively contradict each other - at least based on their mafiascum descriptions.

Usurper needs to survive longer than GF. Traitor doesn't know team. The not knowing team thing is kinda random in the grand scheme of things but not contradictory per se.



Also, at the risk of falling back into setup spec, scum PMs specifically mention:

"You win when Arthur Petrelli or Angela Petrelli, and all other factions, are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same)."

The or is very interesting here - it certainly implies that there is some weird dynamic going on with regards to these two characters - although I don't have enough theme knowledge (or creativity half-way through the work day) to determine what this dynamic may be.

But given the logical possibility of usurper and traitor working as a combination, and given that it would be bizarre to invent a role that includes traitor that scum wants to get rid of, I'm inclined to believe that role cop claim.

Or at least, mostly correct, as Guts could have tweaked elements of them.

I keep coming back to this, and with my theme knowledge, I find it hard to believe DL is a bodyguard. Sure he wants to protect Niki and Micah (gives his life to save them iirc), but Niki also had an alter-ego called Jessica who was hell bad.

Notes:

I'm confirmed town by non-town with Jeff stating the only role he inherited from me was the Absorber role. If he is let back in as a rep as he is claiming this has to be factual otherwise he would have info others don't have and his new slot didn't provide him.

He is also claiming Gambit to be scum based on his first slots usage. Not sure about this one as the bomb clouds things a bit but no kills last night suggests that Gambit made the scum kill and was blocked


Ace should be confirmed as Hiro as Christo would not want to give himself up like that by giving false Lie Detector results.
Phen0m should be considered highly likely town based on play and scum having a Votebuyer

Lethal and Junk probably not both town but that's just setup spec. Did Junk throw the towel in today? Is she more likely to do that as struggling town or struggling scum?

Doddsy exposing and dueling the SK in the situation scum are in wouldn't make sense for him as scum so he is probably town.

Big Man very likely town due to his push on Poyser.

Split likely 15-5-1-1 at start and now 12-3. Scum are stacked but have likely lost their best players. This won't be easy though. Take nothing for granted.
