Flavor talks about me being devoted to my family Niki and Micah even after Niki's alter ego sets him up and frames him for a robbery.

I keep coming back to this, and with my theme knowledge, I find it hard to believe DL is a bodyguard. Sure he wants to protect Niki and Micah (gives his life to save them iirc), but Niki also had an alter-ego called Jessica who was hell bad.
