Anyone notice a considerable dropoff from 2006 to 2008 in Joe's wrestling performance? Earlier in Joe's career he made every second of his match exciting but now, it's gotten kind of soft. In fact, its seems as soon as TNA stopped Joe from appearing on ROH he appeared he stopped putting in so much effort into his matches.

Did anyone else notice the considerable dropoff from 06 to 07-08 in Joe's wrestling style?

A guy did (I can't remember his name), but got bashed for creating a thread about it.

I've always thought this, i might have even created this topic before. It's not that Joe's not "good" anymore. Its just he took a step back. He's not as stiff anymore. He's a little slower in the ring too.

Yeah, its like he used to wrestle because he wanted to but now hes wrestling just because hes being paid too. He probably just doesn't like what TNA has become, he already won the world title so now he has nothing to stride for because he's already accomplished what he set out to.

I sort of see what you mean. Hopefully we see the old Joe in 09.

He's slower because he's fatter. Look at him in 06 and compare him to how he looks now. There's a noticeable gain in weight,

I've always thought that Joe has lost some of his passion for wrestling but with the way he's been booked these past couple of years, can you really blame him?

When he was in ROH he seemed to have much better matches. These days he just seems to go through the motions out there, not really caring. If he was heel he could maybe get away with that, but as a face he can't.
