Yeah it was a good promo, altough tbh, it was more thanks to JBL (Punk teasing he might actually drink Jack Daniels was awesome btw)

But realistically when Punk first came to the WWE It would have been damn near impossible to make him a heel imo, I remember so much damn hype surrounding him and being that the fans really couldn't wait to see him wrestle. I could count dozens of "I Paid To See CM Punk" signs before and after his initial debut on ECW.

I along with just about everybody else does believe that Punk as a face is average at best, as face he is one of the best on the mic. The fact that they are giving him extended mic time shows that they are willing to give him a shot at being a headliner imo. I could see him with a lengthy WHC title run sometime in 2010 tbh
