According to PWInsider.com, Rob Van Dam is now back full time with TNA following several months of inactivity. RVD made his return at Impact Wrestling last night and was added to the Lethal Lockdown match at TNA Lockdown. It's being said that going forward, TNA will be pushing RVD as a top star in the company.

So he's back full time but what's the point of pushing him to the top? Didn't he say not long ago he was looking to leave TNA when his contract experiences within coming months and is looking at a return to the WWE. Anyway, good decision by TNA to use him soon as he's a good talent to have.

He's been pushed back to the top? This Lethal Lockdown match was thrown together at the last moment just so they could have one on the card. Every TNA return seems to be random, though. They never seem to be brought back right and just put in some odd position on the card just to fill a void. I think after Lethal Lockdown he'll be stuck in some midcard feud with someone from Eric Bischoff's team that has nothing to do.

As far as I know he is going to stay in TNA now, but not t sure if I like hm being a tp star unless it means he losses a couple title matches to help solidify roode/storm/bully

He's gonna be pushed as a main event talent in a feud against Gunner 8D

Glad that he's backed b/c he's one of my favorites, but didn't Carter just release a statement saying she was going to focus on the younger guys? Yeah, he could definitely put people over, but why waste time throwing him back in the main event just to put people over? Use Sting/Angle/Hardy for that.

Give that push to Austin Aries, RVD's relevance died with ECW.

Would agree with that.

Why would TNA even want to push a guy who left them high and dry to go on vacation when he was their champion? The guy not only fucked up months worht of storylines, but he showed a total lack of respect to their title and their company. But again this is the same company that thinks their future is the guy who thought it was a good idea to show up tanked to wrestle a main event.

LOLTNA.

It is good to see TNA using him again, not sure why they would have a guy like this sitting on the sidelines for so long. He is over with the fans and is a big name so he would be very useful in helping get over the top heels. Would really like to see Aries feud with RVD with Aries going over. I think that would be a good feud for both of them.

Because Sting is seen as the figure head of the company and is seen as having more name value than RVD, and the same with Hardy and Angle I would think.

A feud with Aries might be the only way to go, with him putting Austin over of course, besides that it is time for Van Dam to retire to the indy scene.

Would be a good boost for the X-Disivion title as well if they make their matches title matches. I can't see RVD retiring to the indy scene, when he is ready to go he will probably do one last short WWE run, or he will do another DVD with them to go with a HOF induction that he will eventually get.

I don't think WWE have ever been that impressed with Van Dam, he might get into the HOF one day, but I am unconvinced that they really see much in him as a talent now.

I think it really depends on how they use him at the top. I wouldn't mind another year of him to be honest, he's proven he can still go.

They have two issues they can either not use him or use him to a very small extent. People would say their screwing him over cause he may or may not be leaving.

Or they do what their paying him for and push him as a top star.

I think that TNA should probably try to get the most out of their investment so even if he isn't in the mainevent use him for as many shows as possible.
