LHR, no one put a gun to RVD's head to join TNA. If he felt this way he could have gone to WWE where he has the open door policy like Austin and Rock

RVD just thinks too highly of himself. How many interviews have we have had to endure of him selling himself as the biggest free agent and as the man having the two top promotions eating from the palm of his hand. Van Dam started to think he is actually a household, draw big bucks and ratings name.

He's basically become Goldberg 2010.

"I can still draw! I was good like.....years ago....remember?"

You can't spell overrated without the letters R V D, people.

^^Lmfao. Its probably true. Otherwise he probably just threw out a random name cause he feels he is better than TNA..which he is imo. Van Dam is one of the most exciting wrestlers ever and I'm sure that TNA, being the spot circus that it is, will let RVD do some crazy shit that we never would have seen him do in WWE. But TNA is defniately a step down and the guys backstage should bow at his feet.

I don't know how familiar you are with Rob, but every single one of his five spots were the same five spots he rolled out in ECW, it was just back then he was jumping over shit and chairs and tables. And the ring was smaller so it looked like he could jump further than he really could. Anything RVD can do Shane McMahon can, including throwing the worst punches in wrestling and Van Terminators in a WWE ring. RVD isn't anything special compared to the outrageous spot monkeys on TNA's roster.

I guess RVD signed with TNA and expected to be put straight into the Main Event like most other former WWE talent.

Everything Van Dam said is stupid, he's the man but still.

Jerry Lynn carried him in their matches in ECW.

^^^ He sure did. Imagine an RVD match in ECW with some actual pacing, and not the "hurry up and hit a spot right after the other one before people realize your not very useful for anything else" pacing that was the usual RVD ECW fare. Every ECW RVD match was basically "see Rob jump. See Rob jump high.", once he worked with someone who called a smarter pace everyone remembered those matches. How many more ECW matches besides his Lynn series and the Sabu stretcher match are really remembered these days? His shit was all the same.
Lynn isn't the best worker, but he was a smart worker and better than RVD and he could carry people. He not only gave RVD the best match of his career, he did the same for Justin Credible who is/was a shit wrestler. Heatwave 98, I think they opened or were the second match and it was good shit and I've never had anything nice to say about Aldo Montoya.

Christopher Daniels is a great wrestler. RVD was never that good in the ring. I won't deny that he is still very popular with the fans.

Not a massive RVD fan, but what he's saying is pretty fair (replace RVD's name witH Cena in that scenario and it makes total sense) and I don't think that what he said was a slant on Daniels... Just grabbing for a name in an interview (invertedly, in actualy it's more likely a compliment that Daniels came to mind to begin with).

Like I said, he is making it seem like it's a drag to work in TNA yet no one forced him to sign a contract. It was an unecessary comment to make.

RVD has never seemed to have that much of a grasp on the whole idea of Kayfaybe and such, so probably wouldn't see the ramifications of his comments whilst 'in the moment' of an interview.

Prob just attempting to be honest, for his fans, as to why he's taken so long to sign up with either company.

Honestly, I don't think that RVD was taking shots at Daniels either, I think he was just using a random name for interviews sake. But, it can be debated that among the casual fans RVD is a much bigger name than Daniels.
