After months of intense negotiations, Rob Van Dam finally agreed to terms with TNA last week. Hulk Hogan of all people spoiled the surprise by noting last Thursday during a radio interview that a major star had signed on with the organization and then doing RVD's trademark pointing routine, apparently forgetting he was being filmed.

Though terms of Van Dam's contract have not been disclosed, he has made it clear he's not interested in working a full-time schedule. There is said to be much grumbling among longtime wrestlers as they perceive established stars such as Van Dam being paid big bucks without working house show dates. Furthermore, more than one wrestler noted that RVD took an unnecessary shot during a recent interview when he said he couldn't understand why people want to see him go from beating superstars such as Steve Austin and The Rock in WWE to wrestling the likes of Christopher Daniels in TNA.

"When people say I'm a legend, I'm comfortable with that. If I'm a legend to you, I get that. You've seen me beat the best, you've seen me hang in there with the best. Now if I go hang in there with these young guys that really aren't eve proven, I'm not sure you're going to get that same perspective and the same satisfaction out of RVD that you thought you would," Van Dam said during an appearance on the Busted Open radio show in January.

"You've seen Rob Van Dam beat Big Show, The Rock, Steve Austin, and now you want to see me go over Christopher Daniels and that's really what you want to see? That's confusing to me."

Wow RVD really? What an asshole :smh

I knew he was arrogant but for fuck sake. He needs to get over himself and realise he's not as good as he thinks he is. Also he only feuded with Rock/Austin for about a month and then became a midcarder for the next 4 years. Now don't get me wrong I think RVD is very talented but I don't think he's in any position to be looking down on Daniels (who is much better imo).

Yeh seems a bit cocky of RVD. Not a big fan, but I never hated him. Still, unecessary as to what he said...

Also, LOL @ Hogan for spoiling his debut...

A legend, in ECW but solid mid carder in the WWE. Very talented but was never that great.

:smh

I am not a huge RVD fan. He is average in the ring at best. He is an ECW legend asnd had a good run in the WWE bu it seems almost as if he thinks he is better than he really is.

I'm a huge fan of Van Dam but wtf, why would you say that about Daniels? He's a great wrestler and Van Dam said he would be going over him, so what's the problem?

^^Lmfao. Its probably true. Otherwise he probably just threw out a random name cause he feels he is better than TNA..which he is imo. Van Dam is one of the most exciting wrestlers ever and I'm sure that TNA, being the spot circus that it is, will let RVD do some crazy shit that we never would have seen him do in WWE. But TNA is defniately a step down and the guys backstage should bow at his feet.

RVD is fucking awesome.

Fuck Christopher Daniels.

He's somewhat right, though. He wrestled big stars and then he goes and downgrades to TNA filth, it just wont be the same.

I like them both. Daniels is a good mid carder and I could see a possible feud between Hardy and him. That would be a really good match or two in my opinion.
