It's easy for all of us to complain about their complacency. It's as easy for us on here as easy as it is for guys like Russo, but it's surely a lot harder to find the answers. While there's a few obvious issues with the show we've discussed ad nauseum, it's not like you can just say "Make the show better" and do it just like that. What direction should they go in to give the fans what they want? (Besides more effort, that's a given.) And if they do that, will they really be happier with the show?

I slightly agree. I just don't find much wrong with the current product.

This.
There are so many types of people, creeds, ethnicities, genders, orientations and so many more that you cannot please all.
WWE has found a demographic and they are sticking with that demographic. I dislike the demographic for the same reason as CM Punk mentions here:

Not offending the wrong people is the main issue here. Creative is the problem, but being creative will offend certain people, initially.
Even in the 80's Ted DiBiase did many things in poor taste (taking a ball away from a child, for example), that WWE would never think of doing today. The 80's weren't risque in the least, but WWE is far too sterile these days.

When watching some old Attitude Era clips, honestly I felt like 70% of the product back then was similar as it is today. And 10% of that was horrific. And the wrestling quality wasn't as good from an action standpoint.

So if we long for those days back, why don't we respect the current days more?

I respectfully disagree (not enough to mark it as such) with the point of them sticking to a demographic.

Russo wrote in another blog (one I definitely agree with) to take the Payback go-home show. That show featured 3 segments in particular: El Torito ripping off Hornswoggle's tail, Cena calling Bray Wyatt a bitch, and a show-closing Shield/Evolution brawl.

Now lets just stereotype the "three main groups" of fans as the kids, casuals, and hardcore fans. All three of these groups liked one of those segments, so in theory they're appealing to everybody, but really each group hated the other two segments so they're 1 good to 2 bad for each group, not so good. You add in the things that draw to certain individuals and things look bleak in a hurry.

The show is baseline good right now and we shouldn't complain so much about it, but they do need to be more focused and figure out a direction to take the product instead of just throwing everything at the wall. The shareholders/board of directors/all of that don't help.

And you're dead on with the not offending enough people. When was the last person you really wanted to see get beat up?

Baseline good isn't good enough. WWE seems like a friendly environment, not a competitive one.
I hate the Uso's and I hate El Torito. I hate that WWE has basically become high school.
I want competition and I want animosity. I don't care what Suzy wants or what James wants
I'm selfish. This entertainment, dancing and posing crap is intolerable.

I'll take a shorter show. Get rid of the 'G' rating, because that's what it is.

TLDR means "too long, didn't read".

If you're easily offended, don't read the rest.

It's what someone of less than average intelligence puts when they're trying to minimize an opinion they don't care about. Basically, it's them trying to be hip, edgy, or otherwise cool because they don't understand how to string together that many thoughts in a row.
