During a backstage interview at today's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, The Miz teased that he had someone in mind to team with against Rey & Dominik Mysterio.
It appears that the identity of that tag team partner has been revealed, with PWInsider reporting that the word backstage at Elimination Chamber was that the current plan is for Miz's partner to be YouTube and celebrity boxing star Logan Paul, potentially for WrestleMania 38 this April.
If Paul is involved with WrestleMania 38, it would be the second straight year he's appeared at the event. He was given a stunner by Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 37 last year.
Paul also appeared on an episode of Raw last August and took part in a talk show segment with The Miz and John Morrison.
Rey Mysterio defeated Miz in a match on the Elimination Chamber pre-show today. Dominik was in his father's corner and got involved in the match, including stopping Miz from using a steel chair. Miz attacked Rey after the match but was then laid out by both Mysterios. They gave Miz a double 619, then Dominik and Rey both hit frog splashes on Miz.
Miz claimed during his interview later in the show that Rey cheated his way to a victory with Dominik's help. Miz said he'd find a way to even the odds and would find a partner who is a superlative athlete, has similar handsome features, and is a global superstar. Miz said he had someone in mind and had to go make a phone call.
