Rugby League 2022

My favourite sport. Played mainly in Australia, NZ and England. Seeing a resurgence in France and building in the US & Canada. There's a World Cup in November this year.

I'd like to use this thread to discuss the fantastic sport of rugby league. For those unaware, it's a form of your NFL but we don't wear shoulder pads or helmets. 13 players on the field per side with 4 subs (+ 1 emergency concussion sub). Games are played in 2 x 40 minute halves with limited breaks in play.

The National Rugby League is the Australian code featuring 16 teams this season (15 from Australia, 1 from NZ) and next year will see team 17, The Dolphins, enter the fray.

The Super League is the English code, featuring 12 teams (10 from England, 2 from France).

I'd perhaps like to even try a prediction league if there's interest.

Also my favourite Sport but any time I have tried to start any kind of Rugby League thread it fell flat on it's face.

Jamica lost to Ireland in the Rugby League World Cup 48-2 XD Next week is NZ, hopefully we can do better.
