I was thinking the exact same thing

It's new, original, but sadly highly predictable. If they're gonna make Jericho win, it's going to be this way.

I was thinking about this myself, with no one in the ring when #30 enters but my idea goes a little differently. #30 enters the ring, say it's Jericho, thinks he's won it, celebrates like hell, then Big Johnny comes down and says we've got 10 more superstars wanting to enter the Royal Rumble, then the match goes on and Jericho lasts all the way 'til the end when #40 comes out and that's RKO and he wins.

I should be a booker.

Eh, I think the original idea is better tbh. Just because it plays to Jericho's current persona very well.

I have to say this, I do not give a shit about Jericho and there is no way he is winning the Rumble.

It's in St Louis and you have a returning Orton. Go figure.

I think the IWC would have a meltdown if this happens. They wouldn't do that and already make Jericho look stupid.

I don't see how Jericho is "no way winning it" at all, it's highly possible in my opinion. JR rightfully said "people are making way too much about the rumble being in Orton's hometown, it means next to nothing" in his blog (something like that). Though he and I still feel Orton's winning. But I don't see Jericho's chacnes as less to none.

Because Jericho will be working a limited schedule with the WWE, like he is already, because of his commitments to Fozzy. He's announced this afternoon that they've signed a worldwide record deal and there's a tour in the summer. He's probably signed a contract with the WWE until Wrestlemania because they want this WM to set the bar, don't expect to see him after he puts CM Punk over at WM, whether it be for the title or not.

I'd rather have Punk lose the title and Punk/Jericho be a normal match, give the title to another match which would make the WM card better.

Orton is the overwhelming favourite. I'd put Sheamus, Barrett, Miz, Christian, Ziggler ALL above Jericho. Why waste a winners spot on someone with a short term contract?

You have no proof he has a short-term contract, at the moment he's working full-time WWE. He's in house shows doing the same things he's doing on RAW. Punk will be champion at WM I'm 99% sure. If Jericho is leaving again which I highly doubt, then you're right there's no point wasting the rumble on him.

He's worked A house show, he's done virtually nothing since returning.

He has just signed a worldwide record deal. He is on tour in the summer. He cannot work a full time contract. It's impossible. 3 PPVs and he's gone.

He's done nothing as it's his gimmick at the moment, he'll be the main event of RAW in months to come. This story-line is going to be epic. Even if he is going for the summer, he'll be back after I'm sure of it.

I'd still love him to win the rumble personally, fits his gimmick perfectly.

According to all the dirt sheets ( I know a terrible source but it's the best we've got) Jericho is working full time.

As did I. I think his album is launching in the summer, not his tour. Not sure though. Either way, if he's full-time working until Summerslam or even WM to put Punk over, that's fine. We all missed Jericho.
