What a dream match this would have been! Have to go with Rude though, he was a great US Champion, and surely was the hottest heel in the promotion at the time.

This would have been an interesting match, neither one could play a face at all though (Although Vader kinda did late in his WWE run) so not sure the fans would have been behind it. Have to go Rude. He had a great debut, great win and great reign. Vader had already been a World Champion when he won it.

Out of the two it would have been easilly for Vader to be the face, because a bit like Sheamus now, he would have not have had to change that much, just be a straight ahead guy who stands up to heels, and earns the fans respect, it would have been harder for Rude I agree.

To your point, I thought Vader could have been pushed to the moon as a face if he still would have been around when the NWO dawned but he had left do to management issues before that.

Well that would have been interesting to see. I can remember being blown away and just very excited when he debut in WWF in 96, based on what I saw of him in WCW I just thought this is the man in WWF and will regin for years. His rumble debut was excellent, and the angle with Morsoon on Raw was edgy stuff! Then from KOTR onwards, apart from his title feud with Michaels, they started to slip with him, and in the end what a waste his run there was.

Went for Rick Rude here. Had an excellent title reign and I preferred him as US champion. Disappointed he never made it to the top in WCW.
