Tully Blanchard won the US title from Magnum T.A. on July 21st 1985 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He lost the belt back to Magnum T.A. on November 28th 1985 at Starrcade in an I Quit Steel Cage Match.

Dusty Rhodes

Dusty won the US title on November 26th 1987 at Starrcade from Lex Luger in a Steel Cage Match. He vacated the title on April 15th 1988 when he attacked promoter Jim Crockett.
