Mick Foley was an absolute brilliant heel.

This is a tough one. Foley was great as a heel, my problem is he was only a heel in spurts. Lawler had some good spurt heel runs in the 80's, was amazing as a coward heel his first couple years in the WWE and continued as a great heel announcer. I'll give it to Jerry but it's closer than you'd think.

i'm gonna vote for Lawler mainly cause i was watching some of his memphis and AWA work a couple of days ago, people ligit wanted to kill him.

Lawler was massive heel in the promotion era. Too me I could never really take Foley seriously as a heel I was always waiting for him to turn again.

Mick Foley had some truly good heel runs, but lets face it he works better as a face. Jerry Lawler however, the guy shines as a heel, back to his Memphis days all the way through WWE. Mick Foley's good as a heel, but Jerry Lawler is that much better.

Lawler's AWA and Memphis runs stand out more for heel runs compared to what Foley has done in this instance. Pretty tough first round match.

Pretty good match up here. Lawler was made to be heel but I enjoyed Foley as a heel more because he was one of the more well versed heels as he showed different ways he could be a great heel from the Anti Hardcore stuff in ECW to sick and twisted Mankind to even doing what he could with the Dude Love character as a heel when he feuded with Austin.

Lawler was a good Heel but I gotta say, Foley was a tad bit better. This was a close one but Foley was a brilliant Heel.

Pretty good match up here. Lawler was very good as a heel but Foley took Cactus Jack, Mankind, and even Dude Love all to successful heel runs. All different from the other. Foley was well versed and talented enough to make 3 completely different heel characters with 3 characters as different from the other as could be.

Who else has been able to successfully pull that off?

I agree with PHX and Slim. The versatility of Foley, taking three different characters and having successful heel runs wins this. It is close though, with Lawler playing an exception heel.

I'm actually suprised that Lawler made that comeback, I thought everyone was going to vote for Foley.
