The highly-anticipated Rory MacDonald vs. Carlos Condit rematch is off.

According to multiple sources close to the fight, MacDonald suffered an undisclosed injury in training recently, which has forced the young Canadian fighter to withdraw from his fight against Condit at UFC 158.

No opponent has been signed to replace MacDonald against Condit next month. As of now, he is still expected to compete on the card.
MacDonald (14-1) most recently defeated B.J. Penn via unanimous decision at UFC on FOX 5 in December. He has won his last four fights in a row since losing his first MMA fight to Condit at UFC 115 in June 2010.

Condit (28-6) lost a UFC welterweight title unification bout to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 154 in November. The loss snapped his five-fight winning streak.

UFC 158, headlined by Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz, will take place March 16 at Bell Centre in Montreal.
Big shame, really wanted to see this fight go down along with the rest of the top Welterweights.

This is a major let down. It would have a spectacular fight and probably fight of the card. As much as I love Diaz, I'll be shocked if the main event isn't GSP laying on top of him for five rounds or somehow knocking him out due to Diaz bleeding too much.

Yep, Hendricks-Condit is now booked i still like this fight, and should really say if Hendricks is really ready for GSP. With that being said though, I see Condit winning here.

Sort of bummed though that Nate Marquardt didn't get the call, i guess there's still an opening as Ellenberger needs a new opponent now as well.

Not a bad replacement at all, if Hendricks starches Condit it'd be a huge shock to me as Condit has a solid chin and is clever enough not to stand in front of a banger like that.

I'd throw Saffedine in against Ellenberger.

I think Condit can take it to Hendricks. And if that happens then it can put a huge calming down to all of these Hendricks needs to fight GSP, should be next in line, blah blah blah.

That guy who beat Marquardt was offered the Condit fight and turned it down, can't understand that, seeing as it would be the biggest fight of his life.

And I read Rory was out with a neck injury of sorts. Boy these injuries sure fuck up anything the UFC tries to do, maybe they should stop bitching about TRT and let their fighters remain as healthy as they possibly could.

Dang a neck injury? Hopefully it isn't too bad.
