I don't need people acting like everything is real 100% of the time, but for the love of God we know it's fake, I don't need the actors constantly rubbing it in. Imagine if Ben Afflack made sure to remind us every day that Batman is fake, Superman is fake, their fight was fake, ect. We know it's fake, it's a show, let us enjoy YOUR show

to me it feels like they're trying to play Ronda up to be this outsider that hates the idea of pro wrestling and basically represents everyone that ever wronged the wrestling business (most of yall have at least met one in real life). Call me crazy, but wouldn't that put Becky and Charlotte's offense in their match over even more? Because now you have this heel who's like "I'm above this, yall can't even touch me", yet she's gonna take both of her opponents signature moves and most likely lose to them at Mania, which would result in her having to admit that she was wrong about shit not hurting or being fake. It all depends on how they play it up though.

I just don't see Ronda purposefully trying to tarnish the wrestling industry, she's been a fan of the business for a long ass time now and was as respectful as she could have been when she got signed. That's why I'm leaning more towards WWE telling her to go down that road with her heel run

Having the person in the main event of Wrestlemania's character being "This is fake and stupid" just makes me not want to watch the match or even the show. Am I getting worked? Totally, I'm annoyed. Problem is, do I want to see Ronda get her ass kicked? Not really, if her whole thing is "This is fake, none if you could beat me IRL", then having then beat her in a fake fight doesn't prove anything, it just makes me want to watch a Holly Holm fight

I really don't get why WWE has to add injuries, and McMahons, and heel turns of the people, and face turns of the authority, and vacated titles, and oops nevermind she's champ again, and "Lol, your favorite sport is fake, you fucking loser", it just seems all unnecessary. Does it get heat on Ronda? Yeah. Did Ronda need heat? No, she's fighting Becky Lynch, she's gonna get booed anyways

I guess they're implying that their match at Mania's going to be a "real fight" given that Ronda said that once she's in the ring with Becky she's gonna beat the shit out of her for real lol. Triple H and Batista are apparently also going down that road with Triple H saying that this isn't his character speaking, but rather the man behind the character. So maybe the theme of Mania this year is that from now on everything's going to be real life idk

Becky's momentum has been dying down quite a bit ever since she won the Rumble, so I do feel like they needed something exciting or noteworthy to happen during their build up for people to stay invested. Besides, the more people hate Charlotte and Ronda, the bigger Becky's pop is gonna be. I don't mind this approach either, it actually makes a lot of sense for a big MMA star to walk in and shit on the idea of pro wrestling. Conor McGregor once said something about wrestlers being pussies and it had everyone talking, so there's definitely interest in the dynamic between real and "fake" fighting
