I don't think Mark winning solves the problem of the champion not being on ROH enough anyway so that's fine with me. People criticize Athena not being on AEW TV and I get it but her ROH run is so good bc she's spending time in ROH

I do think it's a good chance Athena drops the title tonight, and if so, at that point she should move on to AEW TV. But, I wonder what there would be for her to do there if she did. So, maybe she should just stay in ROH for now either way.

I can’t see Tony not having the chance to say that he honored Jay on this event, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he doesn’t either. I think it’s a good story to give the belt to Mark on the anniversary but I don’t necessarily think Mark is a world champion.

If the Sinclair-era ROH can put the belt on PCO, they can put the belt on Mark here.

In my perfect world she goes to AEW TV and just has non title feuds that they need that will be good enough for more TV time

Not only is she spending time in ROH, they give her actual stories. Not just in the ring but like with other characters in pre-tapes, etc. That’s the one thing ROH is missing and I don’t mean they don’t have any as they do but I don’t still don’t feel that they devote enough time too it. They need a consistent roster. Champions that appear on every television. And they need to have at least one in ring promo a week and at least three backstage pre-tapes building up like legit angles, that lead to pay-per-view matches. This pay-per-view card looks great but like a lot of these matches seem to have been booked like a couple weeks ago, rather than like spending months building .

I’m not necessarily expecting her to, but I’m really hoping she does. I do think Athena could probably finally use some time in AEW and I think this would give Shida something to do and sink her teeth into.

They do enough pre-tapes now IMO but filming with collision and dynamite they seem to only want in-ring segments before PPVs which I agree they should do more of. It's not like ROH was ever heavy with them but the angles tend to always be pre-tapes

they did when they were filming at Universal, I liked those tapings for ROH the best

That’s a shame they didn’t keep up with it. I’m assuming the addition of collision meant they didn’t wanna have to add another taping so they canceled the universal stuff?

That's been one of my main gripes as to how ROH has been booked but I was told I dont know what im talking about lol. Outside of maybe one or 2 angles everything else is just slapped together. It's AEW Dark with titles you never see.

yeah they stopped going to universal with collision and that was also when the WBD exclusive thing came about that killed the two YouTube shows so they had time to film ROH with other TV without them
