I thought the card looked quite good, looks as though the matches were pretty average though and some matches that should have been awesome didn't really deliver to full potential (Aries Vs Petey, Strong Vs Omega).

Hopefully next show is better and is actually hyped to get people into it.

THE Brian Kendrick's Biceps

I marked when I saw that Tyson Dux was on the card. I thought TNA would be sure to have picked him up by now, but apparently not. At least he's in ROH.

The card doesn't look too weak. Even if Roddy/Omega didn't deliver to its full potential, it's still a match that would be worth a watch, plus you've got Dux/King which I wouldn't mind seeing and of course Hero/The Wolves teaming up in the main event. I know that it's certainly not a strong card, and ntone you want to rush out to see, but I don't think it looks that bad.

Yeah, the Detroit show wasn't all that bad. Wasn't really even a bad match on the show. I mean there wasn't a match scheduled to really get me excited about it. No title matches, no dream matches, or special imports. No real hot fueds or speciality matches. Thats the stuff i look for to make a show special.

========================================================

Pre Show

a. The Bravdo Brothers d. Ric Impact & "someone else" - Bravados win with a German Suplex.

b. Pee Wee d. Michael von Payton - Pee Wee wins with a moonsault. Said to be "very nice".

c. Bobby Dempsey won a gauntlet match - Right now all I know is he squashed six guys, and won with a burning hammer variation. Trying to find out names. Names Confirmed thus far: Hornet, Dave Duggan

MAIN SHOW

Due to issues with immigration, Roderick Strong and Mark Briscoe will not be appearing tonight at the show. Obviously some sort of shuffling of the card is coming.

Tyler Black came out and challenged Austin Aries, but he refused. Kenny King tackled Black from behind and Aries attacked. Jay Briscoe, Tyson Dux, and Rasche Brown all came down along with Rhett Titus and we have a brawl.

Aries took the mic and announced a 4 on 4 tag match for tonight. Tyler Black, Jay Briscoe, Rasche Brown, & Tyson Dux vs. Austin Aries, Kenny King, Rhett Titus, and a mystery partner.

1. The House of Truth d. The Flatliners

2. Kevin Steen d. Player Dos - Steen wins after 2 package piledrivers. Said to be a very good match, and got a "this is awesome" chant. After the match, Steen came back and hit Dos with another package piledriver.

3. Eddie Edwards d. Petey Williams to retain the ROH Television Title - this was changed to a title match. Edwards wins with the half crab.

4. Tyler Black, Jay Briscoe, Tyson Dux, & Skullcrusher Rasche Brown d. Austin Aries, Kenny King, Rhett Titus, & Adam Pearce - Black pins Titus

Intermision

5. Colt Cabana d. Steve Corino by Disqualification - Kevin Steen interferes, and hit Cabana with a chair leading to the DQ.

6. Chris Hero d. El Generico - Hero retains his #3 ranking in the Pick 6.

7. Davey Richards d. Kenny Omega - Richards wins with the kimura. Said to be amazing!

======================================================

More bad luck for ROH with this show. Strong never misses a show. Looks like it still came out pretty good. I probably would have booked Black vs. Aries/King in a handicap 2 out of 3 falls matches, so you almost still had your main event. (rather than a random 4 on 4)

Sucks Roddy wasn't able to make it but the show still looks quite good. Richards/Omega and Generico/Hero are two matches I wanna see, also Edwards Vs Petey could be good. The rest still looks alright besides Cabana Vs Corino, these matches always end in DQ or some lame way. Dunno why Black never defends his title either.

Cornette thanks everyone for coming and then he thanks everyone for coming to the show. He tells everything that "business is about to pick up"

Match Number Eight: Personal Challenge Gauntlet

First Match: Roderick Strong versus Austin Aries

During the match, Strong hit a release Gibson Driver off the top turnbuckle but while Aries landed in the ring, Strong went through a table at ringside. The referee threw up the ‘x' and Adam Pearce and Jim Cornette come out to check on Strong.

Austin Aries gets on the mic and tells Black to come out since he was supposed to have a match.

It is announced that Aries will be facing Black for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Title.

Roderick Strong comes out with his shoulder taped up and the match is turned into a Three Way for the title.

Match Number Nine: Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black versus Austin Aries versus Roderick Strong for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Title

Tyler Black retains the title after making Roderick Strong submit to a crowbar on Strong's injured shoulder

Notes: Daniel Bryan was visiting before the show...The Young Bucks and Jimmy Jacobs were backstage

=====================================================

Peeps are hating the triple threat being "spoiled" before the PPV. I don't think it hurts much because no one is going to see that match before the PPV starts. And i bet it was pretty exciting in Arizona when they announced the sudden changes.

Daniel Bryan was visiting?!

FUCK Black Strong should have won that shit. Nice to see Omega come from that losing streak as well.

Pre-Show

a. Bobby Dempsey squashed 5 guys - working on finding out who they were and if there were any other matches. One of the five was Trik Davis

Main Show

Jim Cornette comes out and welcomes the crowd to the show.

1. The Metal Master d. Sami Callihan - Metal Master wins with a roll up.

2. Necro Butcher & "Skullcrusher" Rasche Brown d. Erick Stevens & Shawn Daivari - Necro/Skullcrusher win after a spear following a powerbomb onto the back of a chair.

3. Chris Hero d. Petey Williams - Hero wins by submission. Hero retains his #3 ranking in the Pick Six. Said to be "awesome".

4. American Wolves d. Dark City Fight Club - Todd said this was amazing, and the crowd loved all of it. About 25 minutes. Edwards had one of the DCFC in the Boston Crab, and Richards came off the top and hit him with a flying headbutt, which forced the DCFC member to tap. Crowd gave them all a huge standing ovation after the match.

5. House of Truth d. Austin Aries & Rhett Titus - Big upset here, there was mis-communication between Aries and Titus, and the House of Truth gets the win after a "wheelbarrow knees to the head".

6. Roderick Strong d. El Generico - Said to be a classic, Strong wins with the running kick. Steen attacks post match...Briscoes make the save, leading to their match.

7. Kevin Steen & Steve Corino d. Briscoe Brothers - Said it was a "decent crazy brawl". The pin was with the tights...Corino pinned Jay.

8. Tyler Black d. Kenny King to retain the ROH World Title - Started slow, picked up. Black wins with Kneeling Superkick. Was good, but not great.

Chicago

PRESHOW:
--The Hybrids beat Zero Gravity in a "fun, short match" with a roll up and a hand full of tights.

--Kyle O'Reily v (Huh) ended in a no contest when the Dark City Fight Club ran in a destroyed them both. The DCFC announced themselves the winners.

--"Inaugrual Bobby Dempsy 10-person Battle Royal Challenge" ends whit Prince Ali Mustafa winning when Dempsey eliminates himself and another guy at the same time with clothesline.

MAIN SHOW:
--Jim Cornette out to open the show. He references the Russo crap but fires up the crowd.

--"Shullcrusher" Rache Brown v "The New Horror" Sami Callihan: Brown wins in a "fun match" with a Burning Hammer. Brown had his ribs taped up. Crowd was really into Skullcrusher.

--The Dark City Fight Club vs The Bravado Brothers: Dark City wins via ref stoppage when the one of the BB gets his head repetedly slammed into the mat. Post match, the other BB thats the Powerbomb/Neck Breaker combo. Match was said to be much more competitive that you would think.

--Eddie Edwards v The Metal Master: Edwards wins by submission with a single leg crab. Said to be a "nice technical match"

--The Embassy v The House of Truth: Mid match, Nana threw water on a fan and slapped the fan, said fan was ejected (possibly for a Security Guard tv show). The HoT were DQ'd following interference of Truth Martini with a flying headscissor, right in front of the ref, who didnt end the match for almost a minute later. Match said to be pretty bad. And the Nana stuff really distracted from it.

--Davey Richards v Roderick Strong: Match ends in a time limit draw. Roddy backed out of the "5 more mins" chant that filled the building so he could focus on his upcoming title match. Match was said to be "insane". Direct quote from SJR, "F'n Epic match. Ive been to every Chicago show since December 2007, and this is the best match Ive seen live."

Intermission: Estimated Attendance is 750-800, but he stated hes not good at guessing these things

--Petey Williams v Rhett Titus: Titus wins after reversing the Destroyer and bridging with the ropes for leverage. I was told it was both a "boring match" and a "decent match that went to long"

--The Briscoes v Austin Aries and Kenny King: Prematch promo from Aries where says there in no dissension between himself and King. He said last night the Briscoes got drunk and fought each other saying there is more dissension there. When the Briscoes hit the ring, the were arguing with each other. The Briscoes win after King accidently hits Aries with his finisher, King eats a JayDriller, and Aries is pinned after a Doomsday Device. Post match. Aries and King start shoving each other, but Titus comes out to make the peace and they all end up hugging it out... bitch.

--Tyler Black v Chris Hero: Tyler retains with a Superkick followed by Gods Last Gift in an awesome match. Lots of elbows, lots of near falls, crowd was digging it the whole time.

--Street Fight: Ninja's txt midmatch, "Now THIS is a Chicago Streetfight!" "Ladders, Scaffolds, Double Tables, Beer Bottles, and Barbed Wire". Cabana and Generico win a in a ultra bloody fight. Steen hits a Michunoku Driver on Generico on the scaffold that hold the hard camera, lot of unprotected chair shots (note from ROHawkeye, I guess we just lost Lance Storm as a fan...), Corino busted a beer bottle on the ring post and attacked Colt with what was left in his hand, Corino used a fork, Steen with apron powerbomb like at the Big Bang, Generico used a barbwire bat. Finish came when Generico put the bat on the mat, laid Corinos face on it, and smashed him in the back of the head with a chair. Ref called for the bell. The cut on Corino is "one of the worst ive ever seen, think Eddie v JBL" Post match, Steen challenges Generico for any match of Genericos coosing for NYC and promises to kill Generico. Even Pearce comes out to check on Corino as he stayed in the ring for several mins after the match.

Both of this weekends show look pretty good to me. Each has a few matches i want to see. The whole Dayton show looks good. Every after Roddy/Richards in Chicago looks really good. A little surprised they had the Chicago Street Fight Main Event. That is pretty bad ass. Sounds insane. Like others have said, ROH hasn't put on that many brutal matches in the past 3-4 years.

The NYC show is goign to be STACKED! And i dont know if it's a rumor or not, but the next Toronto show, in June i think is a IPPV. I know that will be good.
