The show would begin with a number of important individuals dressed in suits and ties. Rob Feinstein (owner of ROH), Jeff Jarrett, Robert Trobich (owner of NWA) & Jeff Gorman (ROH's ring announcer). It would be announced that the National Wrestling Alliance would continue to have a working relationship and that the following titles would be permitted to be defended at Ring of Honor shows based on booking decision by ROH: NWA World Heavyweight Championship, NWA World Tag Team Championship, NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship & NWA World Women's Championship. It wasn't made clear how important these belts would be or how they would be valued in comparison to Ring of Honor's own title belts. It would be confirmed that apart from the World Heavyweight Championship, the other three belts would be defended at upcoming ROH events.

Jeff Jarrett would then speak about the important of securing a television deal and that he was confident in the coming months he and his father would secure a slot being shown to a national audience that would really raise the stock and show the world that ROH was more than just another indie dreamer hoping to capture the American Dream following the collapse of WCW. Jeff would affirm he wouldn't step back inside the ring with his gear on to compete until he knew he had secured the promotion the TV slot it deserved.

- Match One - Tag Team Match -
CM Punk & Colt Cabana vs. Joey Matthews & Christian York

The bout started with Joey Matthews and Christian York trying to use their experience as a team to keep Colt Cabana grounded. They cut the ring in half, isolating Cabana with quick tags and double-team offense, wearing him down with slams and holds while taunting Punk on the apron. The tide turned when Cabana slipped free of a suplex attempt, ducked under a clothesline, and hit a desperate enzuigiri before diving across the ring to tag Punk. The Chicago upstart exploded into the match, peppering both Matthews and York with strikes, and nailing Matthews with a running knee into the corner. York broke up the pin attempt, which led to all four men brawling in the ring. Cabana sent York over the top rope with a clothesline, leaving Punk and Matthews legal. Punk caught Matthews with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, then tagged in Cabana for a double-team finish, Cabana lifting Matthews for a powerbomb as Punk came off the top rope with a dropkick, smashing Matthews down for the emphatic three-count.

Winners: CM Punk & Colt Cabana
In victory Punk and Cabana would look very pleased with themselves with Cabana grabbing a microphone and stating that they were coming for the NWA tag team titles and they were looking to take the belts from The New Heavenly Bodies (Casanova Chris & Vivacious Vito) and spare the fans of irrelevant wrestlers nursing previous glorious belts before they had fallen into a state of disrepair.

* * *
Shane Helms would talk backstage with Pamela Paulshock and speak of the importance of being a role model not just for fans, but for other members of the roster and that putting the Furious Bloody Italians in their place was the most important thing on his mind. And that he was selecting another man who was yet to make their ROH debut, but who was a young man he had a lot of confidence and felt would be a perfect man to have his six. Although we wouldn't be introduced to him, Helms would call him Amazing Red and they would get to see what he was all about - NEXT!

* * *

- Match Two - Tag Team Match -
Tony Mamaluke & Big Vito vs. Shane Helms & Amazing Red

The match opened with a clash of styles: Mamaluke and Helms trading crisp chain wrestling on the mat while Red frustrated the larger Vito with his lightning-quick speed. Helms and Red showed surprising chemistry as a new team, tagging in and out to keep the pressure on Mamaluke with double dropkicks and fast-paced sequences. Vito eventually slowed things down, using his size to catch Red out of mid-air and drive him into the canvas with a huge spinebuster. From there, the FBI duo of Vito and Mamaluke took control, working over Red with punishing strikes and submission holds. Just as Red looked to make a comeback, slipping free of Mamaluke’s clutches to hit a desperation tornado DDT, the crowd roared for Helms as he got the hot tag. Helms exploded into the match, hitting a neckbreaker on Mamaluke and a Shining Wizard on Vito that nearly scored the three. But before the referee could finish the count, Little Guido and Tony DeVito stormed the ring. Armed with kendo sticks wrapped in barbed wire, they brutally assaulted Helms, drawing immediate gasps from the crowd. The referee had no choice but to throw the match out, declaring a disqualification.

Winners: Shane Helms & Amazing Red

The beating would continue with Amazing Red being targeted by all four members of the F.B.I. with Helms very much down for the count as he was a bloody mess on the mat. The villians though would flee the ring when out of the back would emerge Bryan Danielson, who was joined by Chris Hero, Paul London & Brian Kendrick who would cause attackers to flee the ring and escape into the coward. There would be a rage in Danielson's eyes that hadn't been seen at all at any point since the creation of his 'Pure Ideals' for Ring of Honor.

* * *

- Match Three - Women's Championship 1st Round Match -
Allison Danger vs. Sumie Sakai
Both women came in determined to advance in the tournament. Sakai used her agility to control the pace early, catching Danger with arm drags and a crisp dropkick that sent her opponent to the floor. Danger regrouped and slowed things down, grounding Sakai with hard strikes and targeting the neck with calculated precision. Sakai fought back with a flying crossbody and nearly scored the upset with a quick inside cradle, but Danger powered out and cut her off with a sharp forearm. From there, Danger nailed a swinging neckbreaker and made the cover, scoring the three-count to secure her place in the next round.

Winner: Allison Danger

* * *

- Match Four - Women's Championship 1st Round Match -
Sara Del Rey vs. Alexis Laree
The crowd was hot for this first-round clash, as Del Rey’s raw power met Laree’s resilience and fiery underdog style. Del Rey imposed her will early, overpowering Laree with stiff strikes and a crushing backbreaker. Every time Laree tried to build momentum, Del Rey shut her down with sheer strength. But Laree refused to quit, rallying back with a series of forearms and a running clothesline that staggered Del Rey. Escaping a suplex attempt, Laree surprised Del Rey with a sudden roll-up, holding tight for the shocking three-count.

Winner: Alexis Laree

Low Ki would feature in an angry backstage promo that AJ Styles was a cocky little loudmouth and tonight he was going to put him in his place and show the Philadelphia crowd that he truly was the man who would becoming Ring of Honor's first ever World Champion. Low Ki would also sound annoyed by the introduction of men from Mexico and Japan being invited to take part, as he felt these were the sort of people that would never fully commit to ROH and were nothing more than journeymen looking for a pay day. Whether people like him or not, he was someone the fans should be chanting for and one way or another he would win claim their support.

* * *

- Match Five - Women's Championship 1st Round Match -
Mercedes Martinez vs. Trinity
Mercedes wasted no time showing why she’s one of the most feared competitors in the field. From the opening bell she blitzed Trinity with stiff strikes, a crushing spinebuster, and a brutal fisherman’s buster. The referee counted the three at just ninety seconds, leaving no doubt that Mercedes Martinez was here to make a statement.

Winner: Mercedes Martinez

After such exclamation point victory Mercedes would say just two words 'Double Champion!' before heading towards the back with a smug look across her face.

* * *

- Main Event - ROH World Championship 1st Round Match -
AJ Styles vs. Low Ki

In a bout that lived up to every bit of its main event billing, AJ Styles and Low Ki put on a breathtaking display of athleticism. From the start, the pace was blistering, AJ’s crisp dropkicks and lightning counters meeting Low Ki’s stiff kicks and explosive aerial attacks. The crowd erupted as both men traded reversals, each barely escaping the other’s signature offense. AJ nearly sealed the win with a springboard Spiral Tap, but Low Ki rolled clear at the last moment. Ki answered back with a devastating flurry of strikes, capping it off with the Ki Krusher ‘99 that planted AJ in the center of the ring. Exhausted but determined, Low Ki draped an arm across AJ’s chest for the hard-fought three-count.

Winner: Low Ki

As Low Ki celebrated in the win, one thing that would be noticed was that Samoa Joe was standing on the top of the entrance ramp and had a smug grin on his face and was clapping his hands and offering silent praise for Low Ki.

Ring of Honor will celebrate Independence Day on the 6th July at New Yorker Hotel Grand Ballroom, New York City at 'Founding Fathers'. The final two matches in the ROH World Championship tournament are set to take place. Ronn Killings vs. Xavier & Steve Corino vs. Samoa Joe have been added to the billing. It has also been confirmed that all 2nd Round matches will also be announced following the conclusion of the contest between Corino & Joe.

The Furious Blood Italians had been banned from attending the show after their brutal attack of Shane Helms. Danielson, London and Kendrick came to make the save, but it seems now that Bryan Danielson wants to offer Helms the ultimate mark of the respect. By facing him in a Pure Rules Match, with the challenge having been accepted. The final match that is confirmed to take place will see Mercedes Martinez vs. Strawberry Fields for the NWA World Women's Championship, that Fields hasn't defended since winning it October 2000, with it actually being that long since Fields last stepped in the squared circle.

The celebrations for Independence Day would begin with action from the top. With NWA's Rocky Reynolds booked to defend the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. He would stand in the ring with a look of unproven smugness on his face, without prior knowledge of who his challenger would be. The Philadelphia fans would show there pleasure when "South Texas Deathride" by The Union Underground the entrance music belonging to Paul London would start to play and it was clear he was ROH's chosen challenger.

* * *

- Match One - NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship -
Rocky Reynolds (c) vs. Paul London

The night kicked off in spectacular fashion with the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title on the line. Champion Rocky Reynolds tried to slow the match down with holds and smart ring positioning, but Paul London’s daredevil style kept the crowd on the edge of their seats. London soared with a standing shooting star press and a breathtaking plancha to the floor, drawing huge cheers from the ROH faithful. Reynolds nearly retained after a roll-up with a handful of tights, but London fought out, countered a suplex, and connected with a picture-perfect 450 Splash to score the three-count. The crowd erupted as London was handed the championship, giving him a thunderous ovation to start the night. Although London doesn't appear as joyed as one might have expected about winning the belt.

Winner: Paul London

* * *

- Match Two - ROH World Championship 1st Round Match -
Ronn Killings vs. Xavier
Xavier looked to make an early statement, using his technical skill to ground Killings and frustrate him with quick takedowns. But the veteran instincts of Ronn Killings quickly turned the tide his speed, athleticism, and explosive offense bringing the crowd to life. Xavier mounted a late rally and nearly stole it with a surprise cradle, but Killings escaped, hit a spinning heel kick, and followed up with the Truth or Consequences suplex for the decisive three-count.

Winner: Ronn Killings

* * *

Samoa Joe and Low Ki would be backstage with Pamela Paulshock. They would speak that they enjoyed being rivals, but with people forming bonds and alliances they would watch each other's back if needed. Low Ki would be blunt in stating there was nothing more important than becoming the inaugural World Champion and he would push Joe at a moment's notice if he needed too. Joe would chuckle at the comment, almost as if such a suggestion was comical and amusing.

* * *

- Match Three -NWA World Women's Championship -
Strawberry Fields (c) vs. Mercedes Martinez

The champion Strawberry Fields came in confident, but she quickly found herself overpowered by the challenger’s ferocity. Martinez dominated the exchanges with heavy strikes and punishing slams, cutting off Fields’ attempts at high-flying counters. In a shocking climax, Martinez dragged Fields to the top rope and delivered a devastating top-rope piledriver that left the champion motionless in the ring. The referee immediately counted the pinfall, crowning a new champion as the crowd sat in stunned silence. After the bell, medical personnel rushed to the ring, placing Strawberry Fields on a stretcher as Mercedes Martinez stood tall with the title in hand her dominance undeniable, though the brutal finish cast a shadow over her victory.

Winner: Mercedes Martinez

* * *

- Match Four - ROH World Championship 1st Round Match -
Steve Corino vs. Samoa Joe
This first-round clash pitted Corino’s cunning veteran presence against the raw intensity of the rising powerhouse, Samoa Joe. From the opening bell, Corino tried to slow the pace, slipping out of holds and jawing with the crowd to throw Joe off his rhythm. But Joe’s relentless striking game quickly took over thunderous chops and stiff kicks echoing through the building as he wore Corino down. Corino showed his grit, countering a powerslam into a swinging neckbreaker and nearly ending the match with a lariat that dropped Joe for a close two-count. Frustrated, Corino pulled out every trick in the book, but Joe’s stamina and ferocity proved too much. After shrugging off Corino’s offense, Joe lit up the challenger with a brutal flurry in the corner, hit a crushing powerslam, and sealed the victory with the Island Driver for the pinfall.

Winner:
Samoa Joe

Rob Feinstein would announce that the ROH World Championship would be determined in a triple threat match, and so the second round would be made up of three matches. Two triangle elimination matches and one singles contest with all three winners advancing to the final. The three matches announced would be:

- Triange Match #1: Bryan Danielson vs. Dr. Wagner, Jr. vs. Satoshi Kojima

- Triangle Match #2: Low Ki vs. Ronn Killings vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

- Singles Match: Samoa Joe vs. Shinya Hashimoto

It was confirmed that all three matches would come live at the event next month 'Road to the Title' from the Rex Plex, Elizabeth, New Jersey. Feinstein would also confirm that an official 'Director of Sport' would be announced who would become the on-screen authority figure for Ring of Honor moving forward.

* * *

- Main Event - Pure Rules Match -
Bryan Danielson vs. Shane Helms
The ROH fans in Philly were treated to a technical wrestling showcase as Bryan Danielson and Shane Helms collided under Pure Rules. From the opening lockup, both men showed patience and precision, testing each other with holds and counters. Danielson zeroed in on the arm, grinding Helms down with hammerlocks and wrist control, while Helms responded with headlocks and crisp mat work that forced Danielson to rethink his approach. The strict Pure Rules format quickly came into play: both men cautiously using their rope breaks when caught in deep submissions. By the fifteen-minute mark, each had already burned two, leaving the crowd buzzing at the stakes. Helms nearly stole the match with a superkick followed by the Nightmare on Helms Street, forcing Danielson to grab his final rope break just in time.

With no safety net left, Danielson shifted gears, chaining submissions together to wear Helms down. At the twenty-five minute mark, Helms hit a daring crossbody to the floor and rolled Danielson back in for a near fall that had the fans on their feet. But Danielson’s resilience shined through he absorbed the punishment and answered with blistering European uppercuts, a bridging German suplex, and finally the Cattle Mutilation. Helms reached desperately for the ropes, but with all three rope breaks spent, he had nowhere to go. After over thirty minutes of grueling action, Helms had no choice but to tap, giving Danielson a hard-fought and impressive victory. With Danielson helping Shane to his feet and both men would shake hands and uphold the 'Code of Honor' before embracing each other heartedly as the show would come to an end.

Winner: Bryan Danielson

Ring of Honor's 'Road To The Title' on the 27th July at the Rex Plex, New Jersey will be a first for the promotion. As it will be the first time ROH has hosted two events in the same month. All five matches are already locked in, as we fast approach the crowning for both the ROH World Champion and the ROH Women's Champion in the coming months. The first three matches are on the men's side with two triple threat and a singles contest, with the last scheduled to be the evening main-event. To add extra fuel to the fire it has been confirmed that Shinya Hashimoto will defend the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Samoa Joe, meaning that whoever wins will be taking the National Wrestling Alliance's biggest prize into the finals. The three 2nd round matches are as follows:

- Triange Match #1: Bryan Danielson vs. Dr. Wagner, Jr. vs. Satoshi Kojima

- Triangle Match #2: Low Ki vs. Ronn Killings vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

- NWA World Heavyweight Championship:
Shinya Hashimoto (c) vs. Samoa Joe

The final four women will also be in action with Allison Danger vs. Alexis Laree on one side of the bracket and newly crowned NWA World Women's Champion Mercedes Martinez against Rumi Kazama.

There is confirmation that a major name in the wrestling industry is set to make his debut inside a ROH ring, as well as Shane Douglas announcing which man he will challenge in his debut match.

The past few shows have been a blast to read. The simple approach is perfect, as these have been a breeze (and a lot of fun) to read through. Booking a similar time period as you allows me to really see this project differently, and I have a great appreciation for your attention to detail.

I was a big fan of Team Honor winning, that definitely has some legs to it.

The emphasis on the Women's division has also been great thus far.

I really think the biggest strength of this project is your booking of Danielson. With the Pure stipulations, the Code of Honor, and everything else, you've done a fantastic job of slowly building him as the machine he was in ROH. Really good stuff.

I am extremely pumped for this first Rex Plex show, and really any update. This has been great so far. Keep up the great work!

The Jersey crowd in the Rex Plex were far from quiet and there were a couple of hand painted signs being held aloft by fans that read 'House of Honor' and 'ROH's REAL HOME' and 'FUCK YOU PHILLY' and unlike the shows in Boston and New York there was very much a desire from the crowd to be recognized and viewed as true believers. As if to say they could prove themselves as the best fans in Ring of Honour and perhaps have more shows return to the state. The evening would begin with both 2nd Round matches in the tournament for the women's belt.

- Match One - Women's Championship 2nd Round Match -
Mercedes Martinez vs. Rumi Kazama

Mercedes Martinez came in riding high after her brutal first-round performance and her shocking capture of the NWA Women’s Title. She immediately tried to impose that same dominance, hammering Kazama with heavy forearms and a spinebuster that nearly ended it early. But Kazama refused to be intimidated, rallying back with crisp strikes and sharp counters that kept Martinez off balance. Late in the match, Martinez went for the fisherman’s buster, but Kazama slipped free and surprised her with a rolling cradle. The three-count landed before Martinez could power out, stunning the crowd. With the upset, Kazama not only moved on to the tournament final, but also scored a rare pinfall victory over the reigning NWA Women’s Champion.

Winner: Rumi Kazama

To add insult to injury Kazama would pick up Martinez' NWA title belt and stare at it for a moment before discarding in matter of total disrespect by tossing it out of the ring as if it was a piece of garbage, which rather than being met with jeers or boos would recieve cheers from the Jersey faithful who would start two chant of 'RING OF HONOR/FUCK NWA' which would circulate around the Plex.

* * *

- Match Two - Women's Championship 2nd Round Match -
Allison Danger vs. Alexis Laree

With a place in the final on the line, both women came out aggressive. Laree brought the fight early, using quick roll-ups and a flurry of forearms to keep Danger on the defensive. At one point, Laree nearly stole it with a flying crossbody that had the crowd counting along, but Danger powered out just in time. Danger weathered the storm and shifted momentum by grounding Laree, targeting her neck with precision holds and sharp strikes. Laree fought valiantly, refusing to stay down, but Danger cut her off with a running knee strike before sealing the match with a perfectly executed swinging neckbreaker. The victory sends Danger into the Women’s Championship final and the look on Danger's faced really showed how pleased she was with herself.

Winner: Alison Danger

* * *

Shane Douglas would make his way out the back and look very pleased with himself as he would grab the microphone and speak to the crowd. He would state that after much consideration, the man he wanted to face in his debut match was none other than Little Guido. Douglas would state that he had grown to love the fire and passion of the Furious Blood Italians and that he couldn't think of a better person to step into the square circle with. Douglas would pencil that the date he would expect Guido to meet him in the ring with his boots strapped and tied up on the same card that the two inaugural ROH Champions were crowned. It would draw a slight bit of interest, as neither men had faced off in a singles contest before. Douglas would end that if Guido didn't show up then he would be considered a coward and there was only one punishment for coward: The Death Penalty!

* * *

- Match Three - ROH World Championship 2nd Round Match -
Bryan Danielson vs. Dr. Wagner, Jr. vs. Satoshi Kojima

This three-way battle had the crowd buzzing from the start, with three very different styles colliding. Danielson’s precise grappling, Wagner’s lucha-infused technique, and Kojima’s powerhouse strikes created a dynamic back-and-forth. Early on, Danielson tried to tie both men up in submissions, forcing them to briefly work together to break free. Wagner impressed with a twisting plancha to the floor, while Kojima lit up the arena with his trademark rapid-fire chops. The pace quickened as all three men traded near falls, Danielson nearly stealing it with Cattle Mutilation on Kojima, only for Wagner to break it up with a diving elbow. The closing stretch saw Danielson taken out by a lariat on the floor, leaving Wagner and Kojima to slug it out in the ring. After blocking a Wagner driver, Kojima blasted him with a crushing lariat and scored the pinfall.

Winner: Satoshi Kojima

In broken English Kojima would cut a short promo in the ring with it obvious he didn't see any other outcome other than becoming the first ever ROH World Champion.

* * *

After the match the ring would be cleared before all the lights would be turned out. When they were turned back on BG James (formerly known as Road Dogg) who had been fired by the WWF in January 2001 would stand in the middle of the ring with shades on his face, heavy gold chain around his neck and a massive smile on his face. James would be passed a microphone and would be in jolly spirits as he would confirm that the ink was still wet, but he had just signed an exclusive contract to only wrestle for Ring of Honor moving forward. James would end by making it abundantly clear that he had a lot of friends and he fully expected some of them to be joining him in the coming months because the true rebellion had only just begun.

* * *

- Match Four - ROH World Championship 2nd Round Match -
Low Ki vs. Ronn Killings vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

The second triple threat of the night delivered a unique clash of styles. Tanahashi’s smooth technique and high-flying ability met Low Ki’s stiff, punishing offense, while Killings brought his trademark speed and charisma to the fight. Early on, the action was balanced, with Tanahashi nearly scoring a pin on Killings after a high crossbody and Low Ki rocking both opponents with his brutal kicks. As the match wore on, the intensity grew. Low Ki survived a Truth or Consequences suplex, then countered with the Ki Krusher on Tanahashi for what looked to be the finish but before he could cover, a masked man with a stocky build stormed the ring and smashed Low Ki over the head with a steel pipe. The crowd erupted in boos as Killings crawled over and covered Tanahashi, still laid out from the earlier Ki Krusher, to steal the pin. The shocking interference left the crowd furious and commentators questioning who the masked man was and why he targeted Low Ki, whose was nursing his head and be tended to by medical staff.

Winner: Ronn Killings

* * *

- Main Event - ROH World Championship 2nd Round Match | NWA World Heavyweight Championship -
Shinya Hashimoto (c) vs. Samoa Joe

The atmosphere was electric for this rare clash, with the prestigious NWA World Heavyweight Title on the line as part of the ROH World Championship tournament. Samoa Joe came in hungry and fearless, standing toe-to-toe with Hashimoto and trading blistering strikes that echoed through the building. The two heavy hitters gave the crowd a brutal, hard-hitting war, with Joe nearly shocking the world on several occasions. Joe came closest after drilling Hashimoto with a crushing powerslam and locking in the Coquina Clutch, forcing the champion to struggle desperately to reach the ropes. Later, Joe landed a thunderous lariat that had fans counting along, only for Hashimoto to kick out at the last instant.

Hashimoto, bloodied but unbroken, dug deep into his arsenal. Weathering Joe’s relentless assault, he countered a second Coquina Clutch attempt with a DDT and followed up with a series of devastating kicks. Finally, Hashimoto blasted Joe with a spinning wheel kick and a crushing DDT to secure the victory and retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and thus advance to the ROH World Championship final where he knew he would face Kojima and Killings.

Winner: Shinya Hashimoto

Despite Hashimoto winning, the show would end with chants of 'JOE! JOE! JOE!' with it being clear that even in defeat the ROH fans in Jersey had a lot of love for Samoa Joe.

It seems the fans in New Jersey made enough noise to impressive Ring of Honor management, because the promotion will return to state on the 24th August live on the beach in Ocean City for the eight show in the company's history 'Jersey Beach Party'. With the action literally taking place on the waterfront with a ring being setup on the sand. With the finals for both singles championships now set in stone, attention now turns to tag team action with it being announced that the ROH World Tag Team Championships will also be competed for during the same weekend event that is now locked in for the month of October. Eight teams have been invited to take part in a third tournament to setup a championship match, with these four matches now confirmed for the card on the beach:

Michael Modest & Bison Smith vs. AJ Styles & Jerry Lynn

Shane Helms & Amazing Red vs. Sterling James Keenan & Doug Williams

Colt Cabana & CM Punk vs. Mikey Whipwreck & Konnan

Joey Matthews & Christian Yorke vs. Christopher Daniels & Elix Skipper

Two of the men who fell short in the ROH World Championship tournament have been booked to meet each other in singles competition though. Before he returns back to Japan, a Pure Rules match has been setup with Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Bryan Danielson also added to the billing.

The Jersey Beach Party really was truly focused on the tournament for the ROH World Tag Team Championships that would be unveiled by none other than Jeff Jarrett. Jeff would be in high spirits and seems to get the crowd on side as he would reveal the third belt to the fans on the Beach who had been sold effectively half price tickets to get a closer view of the ring.

CZakQk8.png

Jarrett would also confirm that all the belts would be competed for at Glory By Honor the promotions first real Super-Show that would take place on October 5th at the Murphy Recreation Center, the birth place of ROH. Jeff would wish everyone the best of luck, before making a point that the future was looking very bright for everyone who had shown loyalty to Ring of Honor.

- Match One - ROH World Tag Team Championship 1st Round Match -
Michael Modest & Bison Smith vs. AJ Styles & Jerry Lynn
Against the backdrop of the ocean and a roaring summer crowd, the tournament for the inaugural ROH Tag Team Titles kicked off in spectacular fashion. Michael Modest and the powerhouse Bison Smith looked to dominate through size and strength, isolating Styles and pounding away with heavy offense on the sand-strewn canvas. But the unorthodox setting seemed to fuel AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn, whose chemistry and athleticism shined through. Styles wowed the crowd with a moonsault off the ropes, landing in the salty air as fans erupted, while Lynn kept things grounded with his veteran savvy. In the closing moments, Smith tried to level both men with a double clothesline, only for Styles to duck and springboard back with a flying forearm. Lynn followed immediately with the Cradle Piledriver on Modest, sealing the victory as the beachside fans erupted in cheers.

Winners: Jerry Lyn & AJ Styles

Shane Helms & Amazing Red vs. Sterling James Keenan & Doug Williams
The crowd stayed hot for the second beachside tag tournament contest, with the flashy pairing of Helms and Red facing the unlikely duo of Sterling James Keenan and Doug Williams. Red dazzled early with his aerial assault, hitting a corkscrew dive that had the fans on their feet, while Helms used his veteran instincts to keep Keenan off balance. Williams, however, proved to be the difference-maker. Using his technical mastery, he slowed the pace and targeted Helms’ neck, setting up a shift in momentum. Keenan added the muscle, cutting off Red’s comebacks with stiff strikes. After a chaotic closing sequence where all four men brawled, Williams capitalized, countering a Red flying crossbody into a rolling Chaos Theory German suplex for the emphatic three-count.

- Match Three - ROH World Tag Team Championship 1st Round Match -
Colt Cabana & CM Punk vs. Mikey Whipwreck & Konnan
This first-round encounter brought an intriguing mix of eras and styles. Punk and Cabana leaned on their youthful energy and chemistry, tagging in and out quickly to isolate Whipwreck. Konnan used his experience to turn the tide, grounding Punk with punishing holds while Whipwreck added unorthodox offense to keep the Second City Saints off balance. The match broke down late, with all four men brawling in the ring. Whipwreck nearly scored the upset with a Whippersnapper on Cabana, but Punk broke it up at the last second. Momentum shifted from there, as Punk hit a sharp shining wizard to stagger Konnan before Cabana planted Whipwreck with the Colt .45 to seal the victory.

Winners: Colt Cabana & CM Punk

After Cabana and Punk had left the ring, Konnan would drag Whipwreck up to his feet only to surprise everyone by pulling out an expandable police baton and driving it heavily into the back of Whipwreck's head before dragging him up and tossing him out of the ring before shouting down at him and flipping him off with the double bird.

- Match Four - ROH World Tag Team Championship 1st Round Match -
Joey Matthews & Christian York vs. Christopher Daniels & Elix Skipper
Matthews and York, longtime partners, looked to use their familiarity to outpace the dangerous new duo of Daniels and Skipper. The early exchanges saw Matthews and York string together quick double-team moves, keeping Skipper trapped in their corner. But Daniels shifted the momentum with a cheap shot from the apron, allowing the veterans of the Triple X alliance to take control. From there, Daniels and Skipper showcased their ruthless chemistry — Daniels punishing York with sharp strikes while Skipper dazzled with his athleticism, hitting a rope-walk rana that brought the crowd to its feet. Matthews fought back valiantly after a hot tag, but the tide turned once again when Daniels cut him off with an enzuigiri. Moments later, Daniels and Skipper finished the match with their tandem finisher, Daniels hitting the Angel’s Wings before Skipper connected with a diving leg drop for the decisive pinfall.

Winners: Christopher Daniels & Elix Skipper

Simon Diamond would appear out from the back, dressed in a suit and tie and look very hot and sweaty as he would speak to the crowd on the beach. He would introduce himself as Mr. Diamond, who was the Head of Talent Relations (HTR) for Ring of Honor going forward. His first announcement would be that the tag team tournament would continue tonight and that both second round matches would happen next.

He nearly ended it with a Spiral Tap on Punk, only for Cabana to break up the pin at the last second. The match turned chaotic from there, with all four men trading near falls. Skipper dazzled with his athleticism, nailing a rope-walk rana, while Daniels slowed the pace, punishing Keenan with methodical strikes. The match turned when Keenan fought his way free and made the hot tag to Doug Williams. The British technician stormed in, flooring both opponents with suplex variations and nearly catching Daniels with a Chaos Theory German suplex. - Main Event - Pure Rules Match -
Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Bryan Danielson

The sun dipped low over the boardwalk as two future legends squared off under Pure Rules. From the opening bell, Danielson and Tanahashi treated the beach crowd to a wrestling clinic. Danielson immediately tested the waters with grappling exchanges, grinding down Tanahashi’s arm, while Tanahashi countered with slick transitions and quick pin attempts that forced Danielson to use his first rope break early. The pace built steadily, with the crowd splitting chants for both men. Tanahashi showcased his trademark flair with a high crossbody from the top rope, drawing gasps from fans standing barefoot in the sand. Danielson, ever methodical, picked his spots chipping away with European uppercuts and stretching Tanahashi with surfboard variations that forced him to burn through his own rope breaks.

By the twenty-minute mark, both men had exhausted their three allotted breaks. Every submission hold became do-or-die. Tanahashi fought valiantly, nearly stealing the win with a Dragon suplex bridge that had the crowd counting along. But Danielson survived, rebounded with vicious strikes, and locked in Cattle Mutilation dead center of the ring. With no ropes to save him, Tanahashi was forced to tap after a grueling battle that lasted over half an hour.

Winner: Bryan Danielson

Both men would adhere to the 'Code of Honor' in the middle of the ring and shake hands before both young guns would embrace and Tanahashi would depart to the back with thunderous applause. Danielson would remain in the ring and once the chants stopped he would begin to speak. Danielson would state that he felt that Ring of Honor was the best choice he had made in his career and he saw himself having a long and successful career as long as he hung his coat up on a ROH peg and enjoyed his time more than he currently did when working for other promotions like JCW, APW and NJPW this was the place he truly considered his home. And on that basis he was laying down an open challenge to face anyone on the current roster to face him at Glory By Honor in a Pure Rules Match.

The ninth ROH show and last before the major pay per view will remain in the state of Pennsylvania, but takes place in the smaller location of CCAC South Campus, West Mifflin with 'Septemberfest' taking place on the 14th September. Two singles match have been confirmed with both of them being previews of the tag team contest for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Colt Cabana vs. Doug Williams and CM Punk vs. Sterling James Keenan offer two interesting contests, and perhaps a preview of things to come at 'Glory By Honor'.

Konnan attacked Mikey Whipwreck following their loss in the 1st round of the tag team tournament. Whipwreck will be given his chance to get his revenge with the pair booked to face each other in an Extreme Rules Contest. There will be no rules in this one, and fans are expecting a throwback to ECW to take place when these two men clash horns.

Two men will make their Ring of Honor debuts with
Eddie Kingston & BLK Jeez teaming up under the name 'True Struggle' will face off against Christopher Daniels & Elix Skipper. The pair will be joined by Low Ki at ringside, with it having being revealed during a video posted online that Daniels, Skipper and Low Ki have formed their own three-man unit called 'Triple X'.

The fifth and final match on the card will for the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship between champion
Paul London vs. Petey Williams despite the relationship with the National Wrestling Alliance being relatively new, rumours have started to circulate that they are considering officially partnering with another new promotion Major League Wrestling that had their first event in June. It is unclear how this potential split would effect Ring of Honor's potential television deal that Jeff Jarrett and his father Jerry are doing their best to procure.

- Match One - Singles Match -
Colt Cabana vs. Doug Williams

Both men, fresh off the tag team tournament spotlight, squared off in a technical showcase. Cabana leaned on his quirky style and crowd-pleasing antics early, frustrating Williams with headlocks, quick roll-ups, and his signature unorthodox counters. But Williams stayed composed, gradually grounding the pace and targeting Cabana’s arm to take away his power game. Cabana rallied with a burst of offense, connecting with a flying elbow and nearly finishing it with the Colt .45, but Williams slipped free. The veteran Brit seized his chance, countering another Cabana charge into the corner and snapping off the Chaos Theory German suplex for the decisive three-count.

Winner: Doug Williams

- Match Two - Singles Match -
CM Punk vs. Sterling James Keenan

With their partners having just clashed, Punk and Keenan brought an added layer of intensity to their bout. Keenan came out aggressive, using his size and striking to keep Punk on the mat and wear him down with methodical offense. Punk, however, thrived off the crowd’s energy, fighting back with sharp kicks and well-timed counters. Keenan nearly scored the upset after planting Punk with a sit-out powerbomb, but the Second City Saint kicked out to a big reaction. Regaining momentum, Punk strung together a flurry of forearms and a running knee in the corner before finishing Keenan off with the Pepsi Plunge, earning the decisive pinfall.

Winner: CM Punk

Low Ki would appear backstage joined by both Elix Skipper and Christopher Daniels. He would introduce the trio as Triple X and that they were very much the future of Ring of Honor and after being attacked with a steel pipe, it was clear you needed to have at least on person watching your back in order to survive. Low Ki would then reveal that at Glory By Honor, he was calling out Dr. Wagner, Jr. to find two partners and to face Triple X in a Trios Match. He would ended by confirming he would continue to drive to becoming a ROH World Champion, but knew he had to really make an impact to show Mr. Diamond he truly was the real deal and tonight Elix and Christopher would show the two debutants a lesson in respect.

- Match Three - Tag Team Match -
True Struggle (Eddie Kingston & BLK Jeez) vs. Triple X (Christopher Daniels & Elix Skipper) w/ Low Ki

The Septemberfest crowd got their first taste of faction warfare, as the hard-hitting duo of Eddie Kingston and BLK Jeez made their debut as True Struggle, standing across from the newly formed Triple X. With Low Ki backing Daniels and Skipper, the odds were stacked against Kingston and Jeez from the outset. True Struggle fought with raw intensity, brawling straight out of the gate and rocking Skipper with heavy strikes that nearly led to an upset. Daniels slowed the pace with his technical mastery, and the presence of Low Ki at ringside kept the pressure firmly on Kingston and Jeez. Every time True Struggle built momentum, interference from Low Ki or slick teamwork from Daniels and Skipper cut them off. The finish came when Kingston had Skipper lined up for the Backfist to the Future, only for Low Ki to grab his ankle behind the referee’s back. That allowed Daniels to hit the Angel’s Wings, followed by Skipper’s diving leg drop, giving Triple X the decisive win.

Winners: Triple X (Elix Skipper & Christopher Daniels)

Samoa Joe would appear in a recorded video and confirm that at Glory By Honor he would be the man who would lock horns with Bryan Danielson and face him in a Pure Rules Match. Joe said that he had been personally disappointed to have fallen short in the title tournament, but considering the likes of Danielson and Low Ki had also failed to go the distance he still had high hopes for the future and had a lot of respect for Danielson's pilgrimage for a Pure centric approach to wrestling and was very much looking forward to the pay per view.

- Match Four - Extreme Rules Match -
Konnan vs. Mikey Whipwreck

What started as chaos ended even wilder, as Konnan and Whipwreck tore into each other in a violent spectacle. Chairs, trash cans, and even a surfboard pulled from under the ring came into play as the two veterans battered each other to the delight of the Septemberfest crowd. Konnan used his power to dominate stretches, slamming Whipwreck onto a pile of chairs and nearly ending it with a vicious rolling clothesline. But Whipwreck thrived in the carnage, countering with unorthodox strikes and wild dives. The climax saw Whipwreck set up a table at ringside, blast Konnan with a kendo stick, and then drive him through the wood with a top-rope Whippersnapper. Both men crashed hard, but Whipwreck draped an arm over Konnan to score the three-count in a brutal, crowd-pleasing finish.

Winner: Mikey Whipwreck

Steve Corino would come out from the back and name drop BG James and challenge the fellow veteran to meet him in the ring at Glory By Honor. Corino that he didn't agree with big money being part of Ring of Honor, so felt it was his duty to clean house and remove the degenerates from the backstage locker-room area.

- Main Event – NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship -
Paul London (c) vs. Petey Williams

The Septemberfest crowd was electric for the night’s final match, as champion Paul London defended against Canada’s rising star, Petey Williams. Williams came in hungry, immediately grounding London with crisp chain wrestling and trying to neutralize his aerial arsenal. London fought back with explosive speed, hitting a standing shooting star press that nearly sealed it early. Williams gained momentum midway through, showcasing his technical ability and planting London with a tornado DDT for a close near fall. The challenger then set up for his devastating Canadian Destroyer, but London countered with a back body drop that sent Williams crashing to the mat. Seizing the moment, London climbed the ropes and connected with a breathtaking 450 Splash, holding on for the three-count.

Winner: Paul London

London would grab a microphone and announce that the National Wrestling Alliance had given him a choice earlier tonight. To turn his back on Ring of Honor and join Major League Wrestling in the wake of NWA officially partnering with MLW. London would laugh and make it he had no interest in doing that and tossed the belt over his shoulder and out of the ring as he would vacate the belt and make it clear he was full committed to being part of Ring of Honor and that he had faith he would claim title gold in the near future. The fans would love him for his commitment to ROH and he would become an instant face of the company in the process.
