I've been talking about Roddy going to ROH and becoming the champion for a minute so it's wild that they made it happen.
I was actually so excited Roddy had a decent match with Dalton last night I was only half paying attention to them mentioning the ROH title and didn't fully realize it was a number 1 contenders match until he won and Mark cut the promo on him. Considering Roddy has beef with most of the Conglomeration this is actually a decent story for the ROH main event despite only being two weeks away.
I don't think the contenders match was entirely necessary considering the story is already there and it made predicable in hindsight, but still a damn good match and Dalton and Roddy also has history. Both are also two-time former champions. I can't wait for this title match, though.
Since this feud with the Conglomeration is just getting started and Cassidy also has unfinished business with Roddy, it would make perfect booking sense to put the belt on Strong. Let's fucking go!
