Damn internet and all that jazz have ruined everything! I wanna be a mark again!
Agreed. Like during the Monday Night War, it was much easier to be surprised. I always taped WCW and watched Raw live... I'll never forget nearly messing myself when I watched Nitro and saw Ravishing Rick Rude, who had just been on Raw the same night. We'll never get a moment like that again.

Even PPV's had more just, idk, LIFE to them. You couldn't predict much of anything back then because you didn't have noisy people and prying eyes blabbing online.

I think at this rate, Cena is good to go for 5 years, at the very least.

He loves it too much to retire now. He isn't even 40 yet. Even if he only works 6-8 months out of the year.

Rock doesn't need to compete.. He's an actor now, as long as he makes appearances, that should be good enough.. He can't risk getting hurt when he has his acting career to worry about.. He wrestled John Cena a few year's ago and suffered an injury, that should be a wake up call for him that his in-ring career should be behind him.

The way he says he's returning to set the all-time attendance record definitely indicates that he'll be performing in the ring rather than just making an appearance, but it still remains to be seen.

Also, Rocky wrestling says nothing about how false the rumor was that he wouldn't be able to. It was never a certainty that he wouldn't be there and even Meltzer kept clarifying that anything could happen or be worked out from now to Mania. For all the hate that dirtsheets (especially the Observer) get, they still end up right far more often than not.

I see this going 2 ways...

Triple H faces Reigns at Royal Rumble or FastlanE and is about to get the win until Rocky comes out and makes the save. Setting up Triple H vs Rock at Wrestlemania

Or

The Rock comes out on Raw after the Royal Rumble and is cutting a promo on Wrestlemania and is interrupted by Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman and is challenged to a match

inb4 he raises Roman's arm after he beats Lesnar for the title.

But seriously, I only really want to see The Rock vs Daniel Bryan, The Rock vs The Miz (because seriously, I like The Miz and he's credible enough as a former WWE Champion and besides, we'll finally find out who the real Hollywood star is) or The Rock vs Kevin Owens (establishes KO as a main event level heel, possibly put the IC title on the line to push that as the big #2 title in WWE, instantly everyone gives a shit again).
