So here's someone who's not really famous but interesting family tree. Harrison Ruffin Tyler was the grandson (not great-grandson, not great-great-grandson) of President John Tyler. Tyler was the 10th U.S. President, years before even Abraham Lincoln, and the first to inherit the office following the death of President Henry Harrison. President Tyler was 63 years old when he fathered his son and the son was 75 years old when Harrison was born. Harrison himself was 96 years old at his death.

Alf Claussen recently passed away. He was the longtime musical composer for The Simpsons. He also worked on Alf, Moonlighting, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and The Naked Gun.

The Beach Boys are my favorite band/group of all time. To really understand Brian Wilson and his genius you have to look beyond the surfing songs and car songs to the Pet Sound album and some of his late 60's work. The guy could blend classical music with rock and roll and he did it all while deaf in one ear. He will truly be missed.
