People are just upset. Let them blame who they want. They ll come around and realize Sinclair was losing money( across the board) got hacked and they had to make a quick decision

Well they work with GCW
Was more that AEW works with everyone really and if any thing most companies got better not worse when they came on the scene. ROH sadly did not. But I personally think the pandemic is what's killed a lot of smaller feds more than anything, 2 years without fans is enough to kill a lot of companies, and roh with a tv show has a pretty big overhead for what they are bringing to the table imo

ROH was being by far the safest with bubbles and testing for TV tapings and only having fans at major shows too. Kinda sucks really

yeah it's a huge bummer because I thought that was very honorable of them to do, no pun intended.

Agreed, there were other things that had to happen as well but it was really a perfect storm that ended up creating AEW and without any of the pieces, I don't think it happens. ROH was a major piece with it being what essentially ran All In

I have a theory that AEW is going to buy the ROH rights at some point in the near future, solely for the tape library. Tony has already said he's looking at streaming options for AEW's back catalogue. Having the ROH tapes would just add even more value to the service/brand, as well as drawing ROH fans to AEW....

He'd be crazy not to do it imo...

According to Dave, the focus starting with the reboot or whatever it'll be in April will be "focused on uncontracted talent"

So we just indy indy now

Straight up cost-cutting move by Sinclair i assume. The good news being that there's a lot of great indy talent out there I guess, bad news being a consistent roster probably isn't a thing anymore. It depends on how people like AEW, Impact, MLW would see ROH now bc if they're just a indy now, those companies let guys work indy dates no problem (bit more approval needed for AEW)

I'm kinda taking everything with a grain of salt and probably will for a few months tho, Sinclair could def say fuck it and just pull the plug but i really hope not

njpw strong too should be getting a few try outs from this I'd assume. Like you said I expect Impact to sign a few for sure, aew/mlw/the rest as well. not sure wwe would be interested in anyone really.

But they dont work with everybody. letting guys work elsewhere( and im sure there are limitations) or sending your champ with the belt around his waist are two different things.

Plus AEW didnt work with ROH.
