the reason was that Hobbs is a killer and they were in Milwaukee. Shane Taylor is fantastic, but in kayfabe, he is quite a few notches down from the current TNT champ.

fwiw , I didn't like the squash either and felt it wasn't the best use of Silas, but I also get the point (the match was not the point outside of making Hobbs looks unbeatable, the point was really the post match angle). That being said, Silas is a 43 year old journeyman and absolutely should not be winning matches on AEW tv, in my humble opinion.

to your point on the great match with Shane Taylor, that is the advantage of ROH tv, guys can get long ass good matches despite being at the bottom of the card. they will never be tv time for that on Dynamite, unfortunately, it's too crowded as is.
