RING OF HONOR WRESTLING PRESENTS:
So-Cal Showdown
Date: January 9, 2010
City: Los Angeles, California
Ways to watch the show?: DVD and VOD

The show opens with a hot crowd in Los Angeles, California! Kevin Kelly and Dave Prazak give us the run down of tonight's card as we head into our opening match!

Match 1:
3-Way Tag Team Match:
The All Night Xpress (Rhett Titus and Kenny King) vs. Scott Lost and Scorpio Sky vs. The Cutler Brothers (Brandon Cutler and Dustin Cutler)

The Cutler Brothers made an impressive showing in their ROH debut, having a good amount of offense in the match, especially against other Local SoCal wrestlers Scott Lost and Scorpio Sky but ultimately the speed of Kenny King came into play when he was able to score the pinfall against Dustin Cutler at 11:20
Winners: The All Night Xpress via Pinfall

-

Segment 1:

After the match, Kenny King gets on the microphone and drags Rhett up out of the corner and they make their intentions for 2010 known, they want those ROH World Tag Team Championships and mark their words, by the end of the year, they both will have gold around their waists.

-

Segment 2:

We get a video package replaying the events of Final Battle 2009, where Tyler Black finally captured the ROH World Heavyweight Championship after defeating Austin Aries in the main event. The camera really highlights a distraught Austin Aries after the match and follows him as he angrily makes his way to the back while Tyler Black celebrates

-

Match 2:
Singles Match:
Roderick Strong vs. Brandon Gatson

Roderick Strong put on one of his most impressive performances in his tenured ROH career when he made quick and easy work of Brandon Gatson with dominance the entire match, ultimately getting the win by hitting Gatson with a backbreaker and getting the 3 count at 05:49
Winner: Roderick Strong via Pinfall

-

Segment 3:
Eddie Kingston comes down to the ring, demanding to have his music cut before barely making it to the ring, mic. in hand, Kingston cuts a promo saying it's absolute "horse shit" that after he beat the piss out of Hero last month at Final Battle and got the win in their grueling Fight Without Honor match up, that instead of being in the world championship picture like he ever so rightfully deserves, he's instead wrestling in the third match on the card against a bunch of nobodies. He gets close to the guard rails and ignores the booing fans in his face and starts mocking the people that are clearly up behind the floor seated people at the merch table, concession stands and going to the restroom. He calls himself THE "must see" professional wrestler in the most "must see" promotion and after tonight's win, he expects a world championship match against that emo punk Tyler Black.

-

Match 3:
Six Way Fray:
Rocky Romero vs. Human Tornado vs. Erick Stevens vs. Delirious vs. Eddie Kingston vs. Brian Cage

Eddie Kingston looks to keep his word and makes easy work of the likes of Rocky Romero, throwing him around the ring with ease and showing his brawling style at full force, but the crowd audibly "oh shit"s as the gigantic man that is Brian Cage steps into the ring to square up with Eddie Kingston. The two argue and get in each other's faces. Erick Stevens attempts to get in the middle by shoving the face of Brian Cage. Brian Cage and Eddie Kingston both raise their eyebrows before both attacking Erick Stevens. Erick Stevens rolls out of the ring. Eddie Kingston leans over the ropes and talks shit to Stevens for even trying to step up to "him" - Brian Cage yanks Eddie Kingston around and picks him up for a suplex, Kingston uses his weight to drag himself down, hitting Cage with a huge lariat. the ref is ducked down looking at the condition of Cage as Delrious comes in from the outside and attempts to go for Kingston, who takes his 2 fingers and pokes the eyes of Delirious through his mask, he goes to grab his face. Before Kingston can get the upperhand, here comes Human Tornado with a drop kick to Kingston pushing Kingston to the outside! Tornado takes Delirious' head and hits a HUGE tornado DDT onto Delirious, hooking the leg and getting a quick pin before Kingston can break up the pin at 12:33.
Winner: Human Tornado via Pinfall

-

Segment 4:
After the match, Kingston looks to try and attack Tornado but Tornado makes the run for it through the crowd as they celebrate their SoCal local getting a huge win at the first ROH show of the decade!

-

Match 4:
Singles Match:
ROH World Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe (w/ Mark Briscoe) vs. Davey Richards (w/ Eddie Edwards)

A Hard fought match between these two! Back and forth action and close falls through out the entire match. Richards looks to help avenge The American Wolves for their tag title loss to the Briscoes at Fina Battle 2009! This match got absolutely chaotic with Eddie Edwards and Mark Briscoe brawling so hard that they drag each other to the back. Leaving Davey Richards and Jay Briscoe to completely fight each other with no outside interference. The match ends after Davey Richards hits the DR Driver onto Jay Briscoe at 19:50
Winner: Davey Richards via pinfall

-

Segment 5:
After the match, Davey Richards and Jay Briscoe reluctantly shake hands. Showing signs of respect. Davey Richards points at Jay's ROH Tag Team championship, showing that the war between The American Wolves and The Briscoe Brothers is far from over.

-

Match 5:
Tag Team Match:

Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Paul London and Brian Kendrick
This is Brian Kendrick's first match with Ring of Honor since 2005 and Paul London's first match with Ring of Honor since 2003 and shockingly, this is their first time teaming up in an ROH ring. London and Kendrick look to score an impressive victory on their big come back as a team, but most importantly, as stars here in Ring of Honor! London and Kendrick look to use their lightning speed to their advantage but it's nothing compared to the strength and ring knowledge of the Kings of Wrestling. Anytime London or Kendrick look to have one of the Kings cornered using their agility or quick and snappy team moves, the other King looks to come in and immediately take control of the situation. Claudio scores the pin on London after he hits a super uppercut at 22:19

Winners: Kings of Wrestling via pinfall

-

Match 6:
Singles Match:
Colt Cabana vs. Kevin Steen (w/ Steve Corino)

We have never seen brutality like this from Steen before. Steen showed absolutely no remorse for someone who he also considered a friend. Steen looked dead in the eyes. Anytime Cabana would get some offense in, Corino would distract the referee or distract Cabana, allowing Steen to get the upper hand once again.

Steen hits a package piledriver, Corino hands Steen a microphone, Steen calls out El Generico to come and save Colt Cabana and fight him. Generico doesn't show up. Steen picks Cabana up again, hits a SECOND package piledriver. Steen grabs the mic again and tells Generico to come and face him and stop being a "****ing *****" - Nothing... Steen shrugs his shoulders and smirks, hitting Cabana with a 3rd Package Piledriver to get the 3 count at 12:01

Winner: Kevin Steen via pinfall

-

Match 7:
Tag Team Match:
The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin)

What a fast paced banger! The action never stops. The crowd is on their feet the entire match as these two teams face off in a storm of a match! The Young Bucks are able to prove why they're the #1 contenders for the tag team championships after they hit the more bang for your buck onto Alex Shelley and get the W at 15:10

-

Match 8:
Main Event:
ROH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Singles Match:
Tyler Black (c) vs. Jushin Thunder Liger

Tyler Black and Jushin Liger put on a wrestling CLINIC for the hot crowd in LA! Back and forth, back and forth, BACK AND FORTH! The rookie champion Tyler Black shows all heart as he continuously keeps up with the legend Jushin Thunder Liger. Liger gets a 2.9 count at one point on Tyler Black after hitting a shooting star press. Clearly with a mask on, you can't see Liger's facial reaction but you can read clear as day the body language of Liger that he is SHOCKED that Black is still going. Tyler Black makes his way to his feet, wobbling over to Liger, Liger goes for some offense, Black ducks, hits Liger with a STIFF superkick, gets up to the top rope as fast as possible, hitting a 450 splash! Black gets the cover! 1 ... 2... 3! Tyler Black marks his first successful ROH World Heavyweight Championship title defense at 33:25
Winner: Tyler Black via pinfall

-

Segment 6:
After the match, the celebration is short lived as Austin Aries, the man who Tyler Black beat last month for the ROH World Championship, rushes the ring, beating down Tyler Black, but here comes JERRY LYNN! Jerry Lynn looks to protect his friend and someone he views as a "student" in Tyler Black from Aries, who is the man who actually beat Jerry Lynn to win his 2nd ROH Championship reign. Aries looks to back up, back against the ropes, sitting down. Jerry Lynn looks to just respectfully get Tyler Black out of there as fast as possible but here comes the All Night Xpress! Kenny King and Rhett Titus rush into the ring and attack Jerry Lynn! Aries rolls out of the ring and smiles with evil in his grin as ANX beat down Jerry Lynn.

THE LIGHTS GO OUT

THE CROWD IS ECSTATIC WITH THE SUSPENSE

IT'S...

JEFF HARDY!

Jeff Hardy rushes to the ring and makes the save! When Hardy gets his way onto the ring apron, he springboards of the top of the 3 ropes and leaps onto Rhett Titus with a diving missile drop kick. He gets back up instantly, looking at a shocked Kenny King as Austin Aries stands outside even more shocked, attempting to make the escape before Hardy, Lynn or Black can get to him. Jeff starts swinging at Kenny King, ultimately hitting a twist of fate onto King!

The show comes to a close as Hardy pulls Lynn and Black up as Rhett helps roll Kenny out of the ring. Austin Aries, Rhett Titus and Kenny King are making their cowardly escape as Jeff Hardy, Jerry Lynn and ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black standing tall as the DVD fades to black, going back to the DVD disc menu.

ROH Blog:
written by Kevin Kelly

What a fantastic start of the 2010s! SoCal Showdown is in the books and folks, if you haven’t had the chance to see the main event that was Tyler Black vs. Jushin Liger, stop reading this now and head to the ROH shop and order the DVD or the VOD right now! Especially because We’ll be talking spoilers here!

The show opened with the All Night Xpress scoring a big victory in triple threat tag team action, the ANX made their wants very clear when they issued the statement that come end of 2010 Kenny King and Rhett Titus will be our tag team champions! Exciting times to see what’s in store for this hot young tag team!

Roderick Strong beat Brandon Gatson with such quick dominance, he seems to clearly have some sort of chip on his shoulder. I look forward to seeing more from this new Roderick Strong though. Skys are the limit for this young veteran of ROH.

Human Tornado made a huge shock when he pinned Delirious and won the 6 way fray at SCS! Eddie Kingston could be seen visibly upset and angered that the victory slipped from his finger tips. Could Eddie Kingston be looking to seek revenge??

Davey Richards and Jay Briscoe blew the roof off the place in singles action! Davey got the win, securing his spot as a contender for the tag team championships with partner Eddie Edwards as they look to get a rematch for the tag titles they lost at final battle … and rumor even has it, world championship opportunities could be headed his way soon.

Kings of Wrestling are also up for a tag championship shot soon after putting on an impressive victory over the returning Paul London and Brian Kendrick! KoW have 2 huge tag team matches scheduled up at the next 2 ROH shows where they will face The Squad at “Open Season” in Louisville on January 23rd and The American Wolves at “What the Hart Desires” on February 13 - with the latter match determining which team between the Wolves/KoW is next in line for the tag titles.

Kevin Steen, I’ve seen this young man grow as a competitor, man and father. To see what Steve Corino has done to his mind, makes me disgusted. Kevin Steen absolutely destroyed Colt Cabana with no mercy. El Generico was nowhere to be seen even after Steen taunted him to confront him after Steen turned his back on Generico at Final Battle and blasted him with a chairshot to the head. I can confirm that El Generico was in the building that night and was nowhere to be seen during the Steen-Cabana incident. We wish Colt Cabana a speedy recovery as it’s unsure if he’s fit to compete in the near future. What defense could Kevin Steen even have for these actions?? Where does he go from here??

The Young Bucks and Motor City Machine Guns put on a classic in SoCal! The Young Bucks looked to prove there’s a reason they’re the #1 contenders for the ROH Tag Team championships and they did exactly that when they beat the Guns. ROH officials were also very impressed with the performance of Shelley and Sabin of the guns as always though. That definitely won’t be the last we see of them in an ROH ring.

Main Event. Tyler Black. ROH World Championship. Jushin Thunder Liger. It was a historic main event, folks. Words cannot do this match justice, you will need to seek it out yourselves.

The aftermath of the match though, wow. Jeff Hardy comes in to return to Ring of Honor to fend of Austin Aries/ANX to save Jerry Lynn and Tyler Black. The crowd was definitely more welcoming than when we last saw Hardy in an ROH ring. I’m beyond excited for our main event coming up in Louisville! It’s going to be Austin Aries, Rhett Titus and Kenny King taking on the team of Tyler Black, Jerry Lynn and Jeff Hardy in 6-Man Tag Team War! Join us on January 23rd in Louisville to witness a show for the ages!

Also coming up, February 13, Live from Calgary, Bret “The Hitman” Hart will be the guest referee in Austin Aries’ rematch for the ROH world heavyweight championship against defending champion Tyler Black. I’ve reached out to Bret Hart and he’s very excited to be apart of this ROH event! He will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans before and after the show.

I want to end this blog with saying that I’m hearing word that soon there will be a new championship introduced in Ring of Honor and we plan to crown a champion in Phoenix, AZ during our 3 shot when we run 3 shows back to back to back! Details below:

- March 26 2010: From The Ashes
- March 27 2010: Phoenix Rising
- March 28 2010: The Big Bang! (Special 12PM Bell Time)

Thank you for reading!

"Open Season"

s01dsLA.jpg

We open our show with Kevin Kelly and Dave Prazak on commentary. They hype up tonight’s card and promise a very special announcement will be coming tonight for the future of Ring of Honor.

Match 1:

Tag Team match:

Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs. The Colony (Fire Ant and Soldier Ant)

Fast paced action to open up out show with a hot, sold out Louisville crowd. The Colony are impressive in their ROH debut and actually get some comedy spots out of Brian Kendrick who asks Paul London if he’s “tripping” or are they actually fighting ants?
The match ends after Kendrick gets a pin on Fire Ant with a beautifully slick sliced bread Number 2 at 11:03

Winners: Paul London and Brian Kendrick

—-

Segment 1:

We get a backstage promo from Austin Aries and the All Night Xpress who hype their main event 6-Man tag against Jerry Lynn, Tyler Black and Jeff Hardy. Aries also shows his disgust for his rematch for the ROH championship taking place at the next show in Calgary and openly mocks Bret Hart for being the special guest referee. He says we don’t need to focus on the past (Bret Hart) or the Future (Tyler Black) - but we need to focus on the present, the now, the inevitable Austin Aries

Match 2:
Singles Match:

Erick Stevens vs. Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano puts on an extremely impressive ROH debut match against Erick Stevens. It’s a pretty back and forth match between the two with Stevens looking to prove there’s a reason he has his spot in ROH the last few years but ultimately is unable to overcome Gargano who gets the pin at 14:34

Winner: Johnny Gargano

-

Segment 2:

After the match, Gargano goes for a handshake from Erick Stevens who ignores Gargano and rolls out of the ring and heads to the back as Gargano shrugs his shoulders and celebrates

-

--

Segment 3:

We get a promo from Kevin steen and Steve Corino backstage who hype up Steen and enable his actions as of late. He says that for years Generico has been holding him back and he’s been reborn a new man and he won’t stop … until El Generico dies. Because El Generico is the last piece of proof that the old Kevin Steen exists.

-

Match 3:

Singles Match:

Brian Cage vs. Chuck Taylor

Chuck Taylor also putting on his ROH debut with a much less impressive showing than Johnny Gargano as Brian Cage absolutely man handles Chuck Taylor. Brian Cage picks up Chuck Taylor for a power bomb, Chuck Taylor slimes his way from Cage’s grasp, runs and tries to escape the ring, Cage is getting up to stop him, Chuck Taylor leaps at the ropes, landing on the turnbuckle in the corner, Cage rushes him, jumps onto the turnbuckle and quickly grips Chuck Taylor and sets up for a superplex from the rope! Dave Prazak can be heard on commentary yelling “BRIAN CAGE IS A ****ING MACHINE!!” Cage hits the back snapping superplex and hooks the leg for the 3 count at 08:56

Winner: Brian Cage

-

Match 4:

Tag Team Match:

Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) vs. The Squad (“Kenny!” Kenn Doane and “Mikey!” Mike Mondo)

The Kings of wrestling show that they may just be the most dominating team in professional wrestling today after the destructive domination they showed The Squad! Claudio got the pin after he and Hero double power bombed Kenn onto Mike Mondo’s laying body and pinned them both while doing a one handed push up with his single hand pressed onto the pile of the downed Squad members ending the match at 05:08

Winners: Kings of Wrestling

—-

Segment 4:

The Young Bucks cut a backstage promo hyping up their tag team match tonight with the Briscoes for the ROH Tag Team Championships. They promise that they will win the tag titles and finally the world will start to take them seriously. they refer to themselves as the best tag team in the world right now. saying nobody can outwork them in that ring and they plan to prove that tonight.

—-

Match 5:

Singles Match:

Roderick Strong vs. Human Tornado

Much like his last ROH match against Brandon Gatson, Roderick Strong dominates Tornado a good 90% of the match and hits every move with blazing precision and purpose. Tornado goes for a big boot, Strong ducks, Tornado’s leg lands over the top rope, Strong yanks his leg, sweeps him, takes control and gets Tornado on the ground quick and locks in the StrongHold onto Tornado who taps out at 07:55

Winner: Roderick Strong

Segment 5:

Eddie Kingston rushes the ring and beats down Human Tornado. Kingston is taking his frustrations out on Tornado for costing him the 6 Way Fray match at “SoCal Showdown” back in LA. Roderick Strong stops the assault and gets in Kingston’s face. Kingston and Strong bicker back and forth. Kingston sees Tornado getting back up, Kingston then just escapes the ring in fear he’s about to be outnumbered and just says “This isn’t over between me and you” to Tornado as he makes his way to the back. Strong and Tornado shake hands after the hard fought (albeit, primarily one sided) match to the crowds applause.

Match 6:

ROH World Tag Team Championships:

Tag Team Match:

The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) (c) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)

Another match where the crowd was on their feet the entire match from the Young Bucks as they continue to claim their status in the Ring of Honor tag team division. The Briscoes do everything in their power to dominate the match and stop the speed from the Bucks. The Briscoes use not only their brawling skills to their advantage but their longer experience as a tag team to their advantage. The Bucks fight through and through and continuously kick out of big power moves from 'Dem Boys from Sandy Fork but at the end of the day, The Briscoes just have the experience advantage and understand each other as a unit better than any other tag team in the world right now as the Bucks grow more and more frustrated as they attempt to communicate with one another to find out what it takes to beat the 6 time ROH Tag Team Champions. The Briscoes hit the dooms day device on Nick Jackson at 24:34 to get the pin.
Winners: and STILL the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions, The Briscoes

-

Segment 6:

After the match, the Briscoes and Bucks shake hands and say "Thank You" to one another. The Briscoes get on the mic. and praise the Bucks big time. Jay smirks and laughs and half heartedly mocks The Bucks for calling themselves the best tag team in the world. Jay says after tonight, it's damn clear who the best tag team in the world is but with the path the Briscoes have been on for nearly an entire decade now, there's nothing wrong whatsoever with being in that number 2 spot. The Bucks look ultimately disappointed and dissatisfied with what Jay is saying but bow out respectfully and roll out of the ring to exit.

-

Segment 7:

The team of Jerry Lynn, ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black and Jeff Hardy are backstage and cut a promo on tonight's 6-Man Tag Team Match. Jeff Hardy takes the time at the beginning to express his gratitude from the more accepting Ring of Honor fans. He acknowledges his shortcomings in the past and especially in the eyes of the ROH fans but he looks to prove to them that the Hardy name is one that can hang with the best of the best here in Ring of Honor. He talks a bit of dirt on Austin Aries and mocks him for wanting to talk about the "present" - the "Now" - Hardy says that he is the present. Hardy "big times" Aries a bit and says he's stepped in the ring with some of the biggest names in all of professional wrestling, and with that, some of the douchiest people he's ever encountered but they don't compare to the "pompous ass" that Aries makes himself out to be. Jerry Lynn smiles and pats Jeff on the back.

Tyler takes control of the rest of the segment and cuts a passionate promo about being the face of Ring of Honor. He talks about how hyped and how proud he is to finally be at the top of the mountain and acknowledges how difficult that mountain was to climb. He says that tonight, is this 6-man tag, he's going to throw Rhett Titus and Kenny King of that mountain and out of his view because when he and Aries go head to head again in Calgary at the next ROH show for their big rematch, he wants to make sure that he personally and he alone can throw Aries off the top of that mountain and away from the most prestigious world championship title picture.

-

Match 7:
Singles Match:
Kevin Steen (w/ Steve Corino) vs. Eddie Edwards (w/ Davey Richards)

This is definitely a much tougher fight against Steen than Cabana was able to put up as the one half of the American Wolves attempted to use Steen's blind rage to his advantage, trying to play it smart and dodge his big power strikes and grapples. Edwards was able to lock Steen in with a cloverleaf. Corino starts to argue with referee, Richards comes to try and stop it and get Corino out of the way, as the ref is focused on them arguing on the outside, Steen is able to crawl over to the ropes to help assist and elevate himself up, he scrapes Edwards in the eye, as Edwards backs up, Steen kicks him in between the legs with a low blow, scoops Edwards up and hits a package piledriver! the ref turns around, Steen gets the pin at 16:10
Winner: Kevin Steen

-

Segment 8:
After the match, Steen and Corino escape with smug looks on both of their faces as Richards is checking in on a still downed Eddie Edwards trying to help him back to his feet as Steen and Corino are booed out of the building.

-

Match 8:
MAIN EVENT:
6-Man Tag:
Austin Aries, Rhett Titus and Kenny King vs. Jerry Lynn, Jeff Hardy and ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black

The entire match, Aries played as cowardly as possible trying to avoid any offense from Black, Lynn or Hardy and kept forcing Titus and King to do his dirty work for him. Hardy was able to have a great showing several points in the match, showing great synergy with Tyler Black. Aries started to dominate the match as King/Titus were both laid out after 2 dives from Hardy and Black to the outside and all 4 men were laid out. Aries hit Lynn with the brainbuster and attempted to go for the 3-count, but was broken up by Hardy. Hardy and Aries are scuffling inside the ring for a few minutes, Hardy sets up Aries for the Twist of Fate but Rhett Titus reluctantly gets into the ring in an attempt to stop it and attacks Hardy, Aries looks to try and join the battle but an exhausted Lynn runs, throws himself at Aries and clotheslines him into the ropes, both Aries and Lynn are on the outside now. Hardy overpowers Titus, hits the Twist of Fate! Hardy climbs to the top rope, here comes Kenny King leaping up onto the ring apron to try and stop Hardy but Tyler Black leaps up onto the ring apron as well, grabs Kenny King, throws him back for a quick german suplex onto the hard ring apron, King is absolutely knocked out on the outside, Black looks up at Hardy from the floor and gives Hardy the nod, Hardy hits the swanton bomb onto Titus and gets the pin at 29:10
Winners: Jerry Lynn, Jeff Hardy and ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black

Segment 9:

Aries is pissed outside of the ring and throws a small tantrum. He rushes and grabs a mic. and cuts a promo as he, King and Titus make their way back up the ramp to exit, Aries begins to bash the 3 winners. He says come he and Black's match at Calgary, no matter who tries to get in his way he's going to come out on top and it doesn't matter if that has been Bret Hart tries to stop him, he'll hit his old ass with a brainbuster the same way he did Jerry Lynn's old ass tonight.

BRET HART'S MUSIC HITS!

Bret Hart comes out as the crowd in Louisville absolutely explodes with cheers. Bret Hart comes out with his sunglasses and leather jacket on. He has a clipboard and mic. in hand. He smiles and waves to the crowd as the music dies down. He looks at a furious, shocked and confusingly scared Austin Aries as he claims he finds it ironic that Aries would attempt to threaten him, considering he's the official for their upcoming ROH World Heavyweight Championship match... and ESPECIALLY because the reason he's here in Louisville tonight is because right here in his very hand on the clipboard is what he's been working on all day with the Ring of Honor officials and it's Ring of Honor contract as he is now the official Ring of Honor Commissioner. He says that he remembers how angry he was when he was Aries' days and forgives him. But warns him, when he, Black and Aries are all in the ring together at Calgary, he wants nothing but absolute HONOR in that ring between the 2 competitors.

He thanks the crowd for coming out tonight and his music plays again as the show fades to black

Match 1:
Singles Match:
Brian Cage vs. Eddie Kingston

The two big men didn't hold back one bit and definitely let out the grievances that one another had from the 6-Way Fray at SoCal Showdown where their showdown was cut short by Human Tornado. Kingston looks to set up Brian Cage for a BLKOUT Lariat, taunting Brian Cage to get up. He hears the crowd behind him laughing and lightly cheering, Kingston turns around sees Human Tornado now sitting in the front row clapping along with the fans and eating popcorns, Eddie Kingston is pissed and yells at Tornado from over the rope and threatens him, daring him to come into "his" ring - Brian Cage uses this distraction to his advantage and takes control of Kingston and quickly sets him and hits a successful Weapon X onto Eddie Kingston, getting the pin at 11:05
Winner: Brian Cage via pinfall

--

Segment 2:

After the match, Tornado stands up and claps and cheers for Brian Cage from the crowd, attempting to get the crowd to join him along with the cheers for Cage. Eddie Kingston gets up from the ring, baseball slides out from under the ropes, runs and dives into the crowd, attacking Human Tornado. The brawl gets so bad that the security has to break them up as the crowd goes crazy for the two men going at it.

--

Segment 3:

Roderick Strong is backstage and cuts a promo. He says it's his destiny to be the greatest professional wrestler that the world has ever seen. That destiny is fulfilled when he becomes the Ring of Honor World Champion. He smirks. He acknowledges that he's been in Ring of Honor a long time, he's seen people come and go, he's lost several shots at the ROH World Championship. He knows what it's like to be just "THIS" close to capturing the most important world championship in their sport today. He says this year is different, 2010 IS DIFFERENT. He wants to take his time. He's been training differently. He's been eating differently. He's been living differently and his entire life is professional wrestling and he's been doing that more different than ever before. He wants to showcase this power to any and every challenger possible that comes in his way, he wants to use this new gift to show the ROH fans that this time, it's different. This time, Roderick Strong's path to fulfill his destiny, is going to happen and it's going to happen, on his time.

--

Match 2:
Tag Team Match:
The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. 3.0 (Scott Parker and Shane Matthews)

This match was fast paced with a lot of fun, light hearted wrestling and interactions between the 2 teams of young guys just wanting to go out there and showcase their craft. The Young Bucks are able to score the pinfall after hitting the More Bang for Your Buck on Scott Parker at 10:56
Winners: The Young Bucks via pinfall

--

Match 3:
Singles Match:
Roderick Strong vs. Petey Williams

Roderick Strong, what can be said about this man that hasn't been said about the man already? He just moves like he's god's favorite Professional Wrestler in that ring and takes control of the match like it's nobodies business. Petey Williams put in a better performance than any other opponent Roderick Strong has had this year so far but he wasn't enough for Roddy. Williams would attempt to set Strong up for the canadian destroyer, Strong would overpower Williams, take his legs and take full control, locking in the StrongHold, it's too much for Petey Williams who taps out at 14:20
Winner: Roderick Strong via submission

--

Segment 4:
Erick Stevens who we last saw leaving his match that he had just had with Johnny Gargano in pure frustration, is backstage sitting in the ROH locker room, venting about not being featured on tonight's show. Says that ROH doesn't take him seriously. The ROH fan's don't take him seriously. And what hurts him the most, is that the ROH locker room, a locker room he once considered full of people he'd be able to call "Family" don't take him seriously. It's a lone and cruel world out there. He needs a friend, he needs a partner. He thinks that he found the perfect guy for that position and he's coming soon to Ring of Honor and they will be taking over the tag team division.

---

Match 4:
Tag Team Match:
The ROH World Tag Team Champions, The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) vs. The Super Smash Brothers (Player Uno and Stu Grayson)

The Super Smash Brothers put on an insanely impressive outing here against the team who most recently referred to themselves as the best damn team on the planet. The biggest difference between The Smash Brother's guest spot in ROH tonight compared to 3.0's guest spot tonight in ROH is the Smash Brothers were still doing the goofy antics just like 3.0 but were using it as a way to get in the Briscoes' heads to make it seem that they're dumber than they actually are. The Smash Brothers came into this match to get noticed at the very least. The ROH World Tag Team Champions made sure they killed any potential they had at winning this match after they hit Player Uno with The Doomsday Device at 13:30 for the win.
Winners: The Briscoe Brothers via pinfall

---

Segment 5:

After the match, The Briscoes raise up the Super Smash Brothers' hands and celebrate with the crowd, showing their respect and approval of the two.

---

Segment 6:

ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black cuts a promo for his match tonight against Austin Aries. He says that for the longest time it was him trying to overthrow Aries as the ROH Champion and how it was everything he ever wanted and now that he's on the other end of it, he understands how frustrating it has to be for Aries to know that he's not "The guy" anymore, that he's not the face of ROH. That he's not the best wrestler in the world. He slaps the title on his shoulder and says that "THIS BELT" proves that he's the best in the world and Aries can bitch and moan all he wants but he doesn't plan to lose this championship anytime soon and especially not to the guy who failed to stop the rise of Tyler Black.

To end the promo, he smiles and wishes luck to both Jerry Lynn and Jeff Hardy tonight in their match and he looks forward to defending the championship against either of them at the 8th Anniversary show.

---

Match 5:
Singles Match:
Kenny Omega vs. Kevin Steen (w/ Steve Corino)

Omega has been picking up a lot of steam all around the world as of late but even becoming one of the next biggest stars in wrestling is nothing to help at all with the absolute freak of hatred that Kevin Steen has become since turning on El Generico in December 2009. Omega goes for a V Trigger onto Steen who counters it yanking him up and setting him up for the package piledriver and hitting it for the pinfall at 09:36.
Winner: Kevin Steen via pinfall

---

Segment 7:

After the match, Steen is beating down Omega.

Corino gives Steen a microphone.

Steen cuts a promo and says that the crowd can boo him all he wants. They can call him a coward but the only coward is El Generico. That "son of a bitch hasn't shown his ugly ****ing face since I smashed his skull in with a steel chair at Final Battle" - Steen mocks Generico for not being able to even show up to save Colt Cabana from the beating he got at SoCal Shodown. He says that because of Generico, Colt Cabana is now a cripple.

BOOM BOOM!

Colt Cabana's theme hits and he rushes the ring with a steelchair, Steen can be heard audibly saying "Oh Shit!" as he and Corino quickly roll out of the ring as Cabana gets into the ring with a chair swinging, ready to fight.

Cabana stands in the ring tall, angered by Steen and Corino as the two exit to the back as the crowd cheers for Cabana looking to avenge both himself and El Generico.

---

Match 6:
#1 Contenders Match: Winner will face Tyler Black or Austin Aries for the ROH World Heavyweight Championship at the 8th Anniversary show.
Singles Match:
Jerry Lynn vs. Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy and Jerry Lynn have a fantastic and quick paced match in front of the still hot Calgary crowd. Jeff Hardy shows that he truly can hang with the ROH Style as he goes toe to toe with former world champion Jerry Lynn. The two get near falls several times through out the match but ultimately, Hardy gets the pinfall after a swanton bomb onto Lynn at 16:24
Winner and now #1 Contender for the ROH World Heavyweight Championship: Jeff Hardy via pinfall

---

Match 7:
BATTLE OF THE CHALLENGERS:
Team who wins gets their Tag Team Championship match at "8th Anniversary Show" on February 20th, Losing team gets their championship match at "Phoenix Rising" on March 27:
Tag Team Match:
Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) vs. The American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards)

Both these teams are former ROH Tag Team Champions and went out there and showcased why they were some of the best teams working in the world right now. constant hard fought action through out the duration of the entire match. Claudio hit a huge superman uppercut onto Edwards and nearly got the 3 count but was saved by Richards, Richards showed off his strength, setting up the GI Joe of a man that is Claudio Castagnoli for the DR Driver but Hero stepped in and hit the rolling elbow onto Richards, covered, got a 2.5 count, the crowd is erupting as all four men are laid out and slowly getting back to their feet with a "this is awesome!" chant echoing the arena. Richards and Edwards are able to get to their feet faster, both hitting each of the Kings with running knee strikes to the head, Richards runs to the top rope as quickly as possible, jumps and hits Hero with a huge stomp onto the chest and rolls out of the way, Edwards pins Hero, 1..2...3! Wolves get a huge win at 24:40
Winners: The American Wolves via pinfall

Segment 8:

After the match, The Wolves go to shake the hands of Hero and Claudio but the Kings aren't having it and shove the smaller Edwards and Richards away and flip them off and leave the match pissed off.

---

Segment 9:

Backstage, Hart is seen stretching, wearing a referee shirt for his special guest ref. spit in the main event up next, he seems confused by the actions of Hero and Claudio. He stops them and asks them what their deal is. They try to shrug off Hart trying to speak to them. One of the staff members yells at the Kings that the GM of ROH is trying to speak to them. Hart tells the staff member to not worry about it, because their disrespect actually gave him a great idea for a match at the 8th Anniversary Show.

---

MAIN EVENT:
Match 8:
ROH World Heavyweight Championship:
Special Guest Referee Match:
Special Guest Referee: ROH General Manager Bret Hart
Singles Match:
ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black (c) vs. Austin Aries

The crowd that Hart said would become new long term fans after tonight got their promise kept to them after this spectacular main event. Aries and Black definitely showed that this is a grudge match for the ages as both men pulled out nearly every move in their arsenal. Tyler Black hit Aries with a superkick and was preparing to get the win but here comes the All Night Xpress Rhett Titus and Kenny King! They try to get into the ring and stop the match right then and there. Black throws his arms up, even after this hard fought and excruciating battle, he's willing to take on both Titus and King. Just as it's about to go down with some 2 on 1 action, Hart nods in disapproval and joins in on Tyler Black on hitting Titus and King with stiff punches, eventually knocking them both out of the ring. Hart is laughing as King and Titus are knocked out cold by ROH Champion and the Legend that is Bret "The Hitman" Hart - Aries is getting up and sees his two lackies laid out and is confused as to why Hart would think he can get involved with the talent like that. He gets in Hart's face and mocks him and belittles him as a "has been" - Black uses the chance to swing Aries around and connects God's Last Gift! Black covers Aries, Hart counts the 3 with the match coming in at 25:01
Winner and STILL RING OF HONOR WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: Tyler Black

---

Segment 9:

The show ends with Bret Hart handing Tyler Black the ROH World Heavyweight Championship and Hart raising the hand of the victorious Tyler Black as a pissed of Austin Aries heads to the back, leaving behind King and Titus.

ROH Video Wire:

Kevin Kelly opens us up with this edition of the ROH Video Wire and hypes up the upcoming internet Pay Per View "The 8th Anniversary Show" - he says that one of the most hyped matches of the entire show is the "East Coast vs. West Coast Brawl" - a grudge match that has been boiling from Eddie Kingston and Human Tornado. He cuts to a promo/video package with Eddie Kingston in his New York City apartment.

---

Eddie Kingston can be seen with half a bottle of jack in his hand and looking absolutely disgusted. He angrily claims that he has been embarrassed twice now by the Human Tornado. He calls the Human Tornado an absolute joke, a nobody. He calls him a west coast punk who has been stuck over in California his entire career because nobody else wants to book him out on the east, where all the biggest wrestling promotions are based. He says that after he gets his hands on Tornado, he's going right back to the west coast indies and out of Ring of Honor and then, Eddie Kingston has his eyes set on the Ring of Honor championship.

---

A graphic is then shown for Austin Aries vs. Xavier for the 8th Anniversary Show, we then cut to Austin Aries backstage after his match with Tyler Black at "What the Hart Desires"

Austin Aries is enraged and yells right at the camera. He calls Bret Hart a disgrace and a hypocrite. He says that it's completely unfair that Bret Hart is supposed to be this management figure and is already getting physically involved with talent. He calls it an outrage. He demands that something be done about it. He claims it's unfair what happened to him and that Hart is a hypocrite because you'd think after what happened to him at Survivor Series 1997, he'd not want to "unfairly screw" over another guy just living his dream. Austin Aries really makes himself out to be the victim in this situation. He then says that Hart is insulting him even more by not immediately adding him into the ROH Championship match between Tyler Black and Jeff Hardy.

He starts to shift his focus over to Xavier and cuts a promo on their match coming up at the PPV. He tells Xavier "to be frank" it's not 2003 anymore. Nobody even remembers Xavier's reign with the ROH World Championship and just because Christopher Daniels is coming back they want to give some of his other Prophpecy buddies "the rub" and help them get their foot back in the door. He calls back to what he said before his match in Louisville at "Open Season" and says that it's not about focusing on the past, it's about focusing on the NOW and there's nobody who screams NOW more than The Greatest Man That Ever Lived, Austin Aries. He says that he expects a response from Bret Hart about another ROH Championship match and he expects it soon.

---

The graphic for Kevin Steen (w/ Steve Corino) vs. Colt Cabana in a grudge match at the 8th Anniversary show comes on screen, with it cutting to Colt Cabana standing in the parking lot cutting a promo about the upcoming match with Steen. He says that he finds it laughable that Steen wants to call Generico a coward when nobody here is a coward but Kevin Steen. He stops himself and then says "well maybe nobody but Kevin Steen besides Steve Corino" - he says rather than go about becoming successful and paving the way for himself like the rest of the guys in Ring of Honor, he has to resort to turning on someone who considered him a friend, a brother, a hero and that man was El Generico. He doubles down on Generico not showing up to confront Steen since the incident. "Of course not, his heart is broken. He's legitimately traumatized." - Cabana says he's going to avenge Generico by beating Steen in Philadelphia and stat pushing towards an end to this madness.

---

Erick Stevens is seen sitting in his locker room again, the same area that he was when he cut his promo backstage at "What the Hart Desires" - He cuts a small promo on his pre show match coming up against Brian Cage and says that Brian Cage may be a monster of a man, but he's not scared of him and soon, he won't be alone. He intends to shift his focus to the tag team division once his partner arrives in Ring of Honor and they'll be here very soon. And when they do, they'll be the next big tag team in ROH

Kenny King and Rhett Titus (obviously post-attack from Bret Hart and Tyler Black in the main event of "What the Hart Desires") overhear him and call him a liar. They bring him back to the promise they made at the first ROH show of the decade, when they opened the show and won a 3 way tag match and proclaimed that THEY will be the ROH Tag Team Champions by the end of 2010 and they're looking to make that happen sooner rather than later. They mock Stevens for not even making the actual PPV and being thrown onto the pre show. They say that once they beat KoW, London and Kendrick and Whitmer/Maff at the 8th Anniversary Show, they'll be taking on The Briscoe Brothers in Phoenix next month.

They're then interrupted by the American Wolves who say "Excuse me?" and tell them that there's not a chance that they'll be facing the Briscoes in Phoenix next month at "Phoenix Rising" because the tag team champions will be the American Wolves because come end of the 8th Anniversary Show, they will be the world tag team champions.

Stevens is visibly pissed off and yells at all of them to get out of here. This was supposed to be his time. He repeats himself that nobody in ROH puts the respect on his name that deserves.

---

Jeff Hardy is backstage, wiping the sweat off of his forehead. He says that Jerry Lynn brought the dog out in him like he hadn't felt in a long time. He once again thanks the fans of Ring of Honor for allowing him to come and compete on their platform. He hypes up the big main event he has coming up against Tyler Black for the ROH World Heavyweight Championship. He says he reads the internet dirt sheets and he knows what people are saying. He's not doing this run in Ring of Honor as a money run. He's here to fight the best of the best and what better way to do that than to capture the ROH Championship and put up more "big dog" fights against the ROH roster. He says that he wants to go out there and have the greatest match of his life. He HAS to be champion come Phoenix weekend. That will be the biggest weekend in ROH history, so many eyes on ROH that weekend because of "the company up in New York" - he wants those eyes to see Jeff Hardy being the ROH World Heavyweight Champion. He praises Tyler Black and his skill and says the sky is the limit for him but unfortunately, he needs to come back down to earth for a moment and lay down on the mat, because once he hits Black with the Swanton Bomb, it's over. Ring of Hardy is upon us.

---

Kevin Kelly wraps up the video wire and thanks the fans on ROHWrestling.com for watching and expresses how excited he is for the 8th Anniversary Show!

ROH 8th Anniversary Show Pre-Show:

Pre Show Match 1

Singles Match:
Erick Stevens vs. Brian Cage

Brian Cage makes easy work of Erick Stevens who lets the crowds boos and disrespect get too much to him and finishes him off with a Suplerplex off the tope rope where Dave Prazak can once again be heard yelling "BRIAN CAGE ... IS A ****ING MACHINE!" as he goes to slam Stevens on the mat. Brian Cage gets the W at 7:45
Winner: Brian Cage via pinfall

--

---

Pre Show Segment 2:

We get a video package highlighting the careers of Jushin Thunder Liger and Christopher Daniels, hyping us up for the dream match to take place tonight.

---

Pre Show Segment 3:

We get a promo from ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black hyping up his match tonight with Jeff Hardy in the main event. He says that this may just be the biggest match of his entire career. Tyler Black gets slightly pissy with Jeff Hardy for referring to ROH as "Ring of Hardy" - he questions who he thinks that he is coming into the company that gave him everything that he has today and disrespecting it. Tyler says that HE is ROH and Jeff Hardy makes it more and more clear that he's nothing to this company but an outsider bringing his ego into this entire thing. He says that this certainly will be a match for the history books.

---

Pre Show Segment 4:

Paul London and Brian Kendrick are backstage hyping up their 4 way tag team match. they laugh at the name "Defy or Deny" and giggle to themselves. They say that they're super excited for the chance to perform on the Ring of Honor Birthday Party show. They get serious for a moment and say that very recently they were made just aware of how good the Kings of Wrestling are and they plan to learn from their mistakes and come out the winners of the match this time. They say they're excited to see BJ Whitmer and Dan Maff back in Ring of Honor and they hope that they bring their A-Game. Kendrick brings up the random fact that Dan Maff and BJ Whitmer are former ROH Tag Team Champions from years ago and never actually technically lost the titles and never challenged for the titles again since then. Kendrick looks out to himself and starts to question if they should just be nice guys and let them have this win so they can get their ROH Tag Title rematch. Paul London snaps Brian Kendrick out of it and tells him to chill out. They finish off the promo with saying that the All Night Xpress have no right to be as cocky as they are. ANX are stepping into the ring with former ROH tag team champions, the toughest team that they've ever faced and London and Kendrick, the longest reigning world tag team champions in a company in recent memory. They plan to put ANX in their places in this match.

---

Pre Show Match 2:

Singles Match:
Chuck Taylor vs. Johnny Gargano

---

Tag Team Match:
The Rottweilers (Rocky Romero and Ricky Reyes) vs. The Super Smash Brothers (Player Uno and Stu Grayson)

The Smash Brothers and The Rottweiler tear the house down as the final match leading into the 8th Anniversary Show PPV. The Rottweilers have a great performance. This is the first time the former ROH Tag Team Champions Reyes and Romero have teamed together since 2007 and look that after tonight they may need to get back it. ---

Match 1:
Tag Team Match:
The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Jerry Lynn and Lance Storm

The Philly crowd is going ballistic over Jerry Lynn and Lance Storm being a team together. Lynn and Storm have had some of their biggest matches against one another in "another Philadelphia promotion" and it looks to be a cool moment for the two as they are a unit tonight facing one of the fastest rising tag teams in professional wrestling today. A hard fought duel between these two teams but The Young Bucks get the win after a More Bang for Your Buck onto Lance Storm at 14:12 to liven up this hot crowd.
Winners: The Young Bucks via pinfall.

---

Match 2:
"West Coast vs. East Coast Brawl"
Falls Count Anywhere:
Singles Match:
Human Tornado vs. Eddie Kingston

Tornado and Kingston did their best to attempt and destroy the building during this one. They took this grudge match all over the arena brawling and hitting each other with power maneuvers. They're backed up one side of the building, Tornado looks to use the wall as leverage to hit a Tornado DDT onto Kingston, but Kingston uses his weight to hold down Tornado, Kingston grabs a drink out of a fan's hand and splashes it into the eye's of Tornado, much to the boos of the ROH fans. Kingston then hits Tornado with a HUGE Lariat, Tornado lands stiff onto the hard floor, the sound of his neck and entire body smacking the floor can be heard around the venue. Kingston covers and gets the win at 10:40
Winner: Eddie Kingston via pinfall.

---

Match 3:
Singles Match:
Roderick Strong vs. Super Crazy

Roderick Strong and Super Crazy have insane chemistry in this match as the two keep at each other constantly, not taking a ton of time for breathers at all through out the battle. Super Crazy goes to do a dive to the outside onto Roderick Strong but Roddy stops it by catching Super Crazy and hitting a devastating backbreaker onto the outside. Roddy then rushes, picks Crazy up, tosses him into the ring, picks him back up and hits another dreadful back breaker onto Super Crazy and gets the win at 08:33
Winner: Roderick Strong via pinfall

---

Segment 1:

We get a video packaging highlighting how much of a scum bag Kevin Steen has been since Final Battle back in December 2009. It shows the betrayal of Steen to El Generico, it highlights the smacking of Generico with the steel chair right onto his face. It cuts to the promo by Colt Cabana previously seen on the video wire and him talking down to Steen for his cowardly act to their once mutual friend. It then shows Steen hitting Cabana with 3 package piledrivers at "SoCal Showdown" and Cabana looking absolutely dead. Cabana promises once more that he will avenge both he and Generico in this match. Steen is shown again from his previous promo for calling Generico a coward for not showing his face around ROH since their encounter at FB09.

---

Match 4:
"Grudge Match"
Singles Match:
Kevin Steen (w/ Steve Corino) vs. Colt Cabana

Cabana definitely had more fight in him than their last encounter at SoCal Showdown. He was able to land more offensive moves on Steen than anyone had this year. Corino would start to slap the ring apron and chanting for Steen to get back up, which Steen would do just that and start beating down Cabana with force, punching Cabana so hard that he would start to bleed in the face. The referee would attempt to pull Steen back and stop the assault onto Cabana but Steen just won't stop, this causes for the referee to call for the bell at 12:34
Winner: Colt Cabana via DQ

---

Segment 2:

Steen continues to beat down Cabana once more, the same way he did at "SoCal Showdown" - Corino grabs a steel chair out from underneath the ring and throws it into the ring with Steen. Colt Cabana starts to slowly stumble up onto his knees, blood gushing from his face. Steen has the chair, he throws it up over his head, prepared to bash Cabana's lights out.

OLE! OLE! OLE! OLE! OLEEE! OLEEEEE!!

Here comes El Generico!

El Generico rushes the ring and starts throwing it down with Steen, they're trading blows back and forth, back and forth. Generico gets Steen to the back of the ropes, runs back into the other ropes hit's a HUUUUUUUUGE Helluva kick onto Steen, which knocks Steen down to the outside, stumbling onto Corino. Generico prantically stands and jumps back and forth with hype and adrenaline, rushes back to the ropes, goes back to the direction of Steen and Corino and hits a giant dive onto both Steen and Corino. The crowd is erupting for the return of El Generico. He slides back into the ring, aiding to Colt Cabana. Looking at his beaten down ally, he puts him over his shoulder and quickly escorts him to the back, right before he can head to the back, we get one final shot of El Generico looking back and seeing Steen getting up with Steve Corino checking on him and making sure his monster is alright, much like Generico and Steen used to have that sort of relationship.

---

Match 5:
DEFY OR DENY:
*IF the Kings of Wrestling do not, they will loser their #1 contendership spot to the winning team
**IF the Kings of Wrestling DO win, the team that is pinned will not be able to challenge for the tag team championships for the rest of the Briscoe Brothers' current tag team championship reign
4-Corners Tag Team Match:
The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) vs. The All Night Xpress (Rhett Titus and Kenny King) vs. Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs. BJ Whitmer and Dan Maff

An explosive match as to be expected. Through out the entire match, there were constant points where the control in the ring was dictated to a different team. BJ Whitmer and Dan Maff both looked great in their returns to Ring of Honor. Brian Kendrick hits the sliced Bread #2 onto Dan Maff, Paul London hits the 450 splash onto Maff, Kenny King hits a huge springboard missle dropkick onto Paul London's face to break up the pin, smashing the skull of Paul London. Kenny King waves Titus on to dive to the outside and assault the other teams while he focuses Paul London. Rhett Titus throws Kendrick to the outside and then does a small dive onto Kendrick and BJ Whitmer, but from the other side of the ring, Claudio and Hero rush the ring and take advantage of the numbers game and slam down Kenny King with the Royal Bomb. Hero gets the cover on King at 29:10
Winners: Kings of Wrestling via pinfall.
Consequences: The All Night Xpress cannot challenge for the tag team championships as long as the Briscoe Brothers hold the tag team titles in their current reign.

---

Segment 3:

After the match, the Kings of Wrestling celebrate arrogantly and exit the ring as a distraught Rhett Titus steps into the ring and checks on his partner who is down hurt badly. Paul London and Brian Kendrick recover as well and shake the hands of Dan Maff and BJ Whitmer as they roll back into the ring. King recovers and ignores the other teams as they go to shake the hands of the Xpress. Titus and King are disappointed in themselves and leave as the crowd boos them and gets in their faces as they walk to the bag.

---

Match 6:
"The only 2x ROH World Champion ever vs. The 2nd ever ROH World Champion"
Singles Match:
Austin Aries vs. Xavier

Xavier looked fantastic in his showing against Aries. Xavier was able to hold his end up very well against the bitter Austin Aries. The crowd would chant through out the match "Bret screwed Aries!" with claps and laughter - much to the distain of Austin Aries, who would use this fuel the fire in him and snap Xavier in half with a brainbuster, getting the pin on Xavier at 15:16
Winner: Austin Aries via pinfall.

---

Segment 4:

After the match, Austin Aries gets on the microphone and sits down in the ring, catching his breath and sweating. He says that he's tired of the disrespect by the ROH fans and he doesn't want to be here anymore if the people in management are just going to disrespect him as well. He calls Bret Hart a son of a bitch and says that he knows Hart only got in the way of costing him the ROH Championship for a third time because he knows Austin Aries is too much of a "supreme gentleman" to attack an elder.

Bret Hart's music hits. The crowd gets loud with cheers as The ROH GM makes his way to the entrance ramp.

He mocks Austin Aries for trying to make himself out to be the victim. He reflects on he once did that and it got him ultimately nowhere. He tells Austin Aries to grow up, get over it and move on.

Austin Aries tries to get back on the microphone and interrupt Bret Hart and tells him he needs to give him a shot at the ROH Championship again. Hart stands there and thinks for a moment. Bret Hart questions just how serious Austin Aries was by saying he doesn't want to be here anymore in ROH? Because if that's how he feels if he isn't ROH champion, then that's what it's going to cost to get another shot at the ROH championship.

Bret Hart says that at "The Big Bang!" on March 28, in Phoenix, Arizona on iPPV, Austin Aries will get his ROH Championship match ... but the cost to enter that match, if Aries loses or anywhere interferes on the behalf of Aries, he'll be forced to leave Ring of Honor.

Aries looks annoyed but reluctantly agrees to the match.

---

Match 7:
"Pro Wrestling Dream Match"
Singles Match:
Jushin Thunder Liger vs. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels

The match lived up to the hype and then some as two of the best of the best to ever stepped foot in the square circle put on a classic for the ages for the sold out Philadelphia crowd. Much like Liger's last match in Ring of Honor against Tyler Black, there were several near falls. The match ended after Liger hit the Shooting Star Press to get the cover at 19:58

---

Segment 5:

The two men drop down to their knees and are exhausted. They shake hands with one another and say "thank you" to the other before they slowly get up to their feet and raise one another's arm.

---

Match 8:
ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Tag Team Match:
The ROH World Tag Team Champions The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) (c) vs. The American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards)

The Briscoes and The Wolves nearly killed each other in this match. The Wolves are looking to take back the ROH tag titles after losing them to the Briscoes at Final Battle. The Briscoes use their tag experience to their advantage all through out the match as they effortlessly take down each Wolf and break them down using whatever tools they have at their disposal. Edwards has Mark locked in the boston crab, Mark is screaming and panicking as he is in pure agony, Jay kicks Eddie in the gut causing him to let loose of the hold on Mark, Jay sets Eddie up for the Jay driller, Davey hits a running neckbreaker onto Jay, Mark is back up and hits Davey with a spinning kick, Mark rushes to the top rope, looks to hit the Froggy Bow, Davey rolls out of the way, grips the foot of Mark, locks in an ankle lock, Jay comes up from behind and applies a sleeper hold onto Davey, dragging him down to the ring, Davey is nearly knocked out as Jay chokes the life out of Davey, Eddie starts to come back in and breaks up the hold but Mark Briscoe grabs Eddie and starts the assault on Eddie, Jay joins in and the numbers game takes advantage again as they set Edwards up and connect him with the Doomsday Device!! 1,2,3!! The Briscoes get the fat win at 32:11
Winners and STILL Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions: The Briscoe Brothers

---

MAIN EVENT:
ROH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Singles Match:
ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

The crowd is split down the middle for this one. Constant back and forth chants. "Ring of Hardy!" followed by chants for "Ty-ler Black!" - Black and Hardy make sure to play around with one another and use the hot crowd to their advantage, applying tests of strengths on one another, going back and forth with a slower pace start, chin holds and headlocks, running the ropes and attempting to bump the other down with harder force. Hardy stops the nonsense and this time runs and hits a quick drop kick onto Tyler Black, the crowd goes "OH!" as Black is thrown off by the veteran Hardy. Black gets back up immediately and lets the anger of the moment get the best of him and get in the face of Jeff Hardy, he says "You son of a bitch!" before open hand smacking Jeff Hardy clear on the face, "OHHH!" the crowd lets out as the stiff smack can be heard around the arena. Hardy smirks and laughs to himself, looking down to the ring mat, andddd we're off to the races! Hardy is going full force at Black with everything he's got as they trade blows back and forth! This leads to a much more intense match up than the fans originally expected between these two fan favorites. Tyler Black, the champion, with everything to prove right now that his win against Aries after years of climbing up the rankings in Ring of Honor wasn't a fluke. Jeff Hardy, the challenger, the big fish in the small pond of ROH, looking to earn the respect and acknowledgement of the same fanbase who hated him just a few years ago.
Jeff Hardy hits the twist of fate onto Black! Goes for the cover! 1...2... Black kicks out! the fans are on their feet, the fans in the front row are slapping the metal on the barricade chanting "ROH! ROH! ROH!"
Black is breathing heavily, "hulking up" he makes his way back up to his feet, he blocks the upcoming strike by Hardy, Hardy pulls back, goes for another strike, Black strikes that one again, Black ducks under the arms of Hardy the next time he goes for a strike and gets control of Hardy! He hits God's Last Gift!
Tyler Black goes for the cover! 1...2.. HARDY KICKS OUT!
The crowd is even hotter now.
"**** this!" says Tyler Black. he rushes his way up to the top rope, he looks around at the crowd who looks to be more on his side now than ever before in this match, he leaps and hits... The Swanton Bomb?!
IT CONNECTS!
1...2...3!!! The match is over at 22:37

Winner and STILL Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion: Tyler Black

---

Segment 6:

Tyler Black's music plays as the referee places the championship title onto the chest of Tyler before both men slowly crawl and squeeze their way back up using the ring ropes as leverage. The two men look at each other with dead looks on their faces before ultimately shaking hands with one another and raising each others arms. Hardy says "They're all you." before leaving the ring and heading to the Back as the 8th Anniversary Show goes off air with Tyler Black holding up the ROH World Heavyweight Championship high above his head.

The Final image before heading off the air is graphics that set the stage for the 3-Night weekend of shows coming soon on iPPV in Phoenix, Arizona to be headlined by a tournament for the ROH North American Championship, The Briscoes (c) vs. Kings of Wrestling, and Tyler Black (c) vs. Austin Aries

"The March Madness:
LIVE! From Dearborn, MI

K7BTrsk.jpg

Segment 1:

Our show opens with Kevin Steen and Steve Corino making their ways to the ring

Steen and Corino cut a promo on the events from the 8th Anniversary iPPV. They call El Generico pathetic and tell the fans that Generico will not be here tonight and that they can piss off with their "Ole!" chants. Coming up at the 3 shot iPPV weekend in Phoenix, in night 1 of those pay per views "From the Ashes" it will be main evented by Kevin Steen and El Generico finally facing off one on one.

Corino takes control of the promo and says that their focus is entirely on those "nasty, hicks" The Briscoe Brothers tonight and call them human garbage. Corino points out that he doesn't find it ironic that since Steen cut that dead weight that is Generico as a tag partner that he hasn't been pinned since. Maybe he and Steen should be tag team champions instead of Steen and Generico. He mockingly says that's what the fans want. He chuckles to himself and says that he is the only friend, the only partner, the only person that Kevin needs.

*BANG BANG*

The Briscoe Brothers come out and retaliate against the words of Corino and Steen. Jay Briscoe says that he knows a challenge when he hears it and he's got what he wants, tonight's main event will be for the ROH World Tag Team Championships as The Briscoes accept the challenge.

The Briscoes music hits again as they head to the back as we make way for our first match of the evening.

---

Match 1:
Tag Team Match:
Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. The Bravado Brothers (Harlem Bravado and Lancelot Bravado)

The Bravados have a semi impressive outting against The Bucks who are calling themselves the "Hottest Commodity in Tag Team Wrestling" but the speed of the Bucks is just too much for the Bravados to overcome as the Bucks get the win at 10:14
Winners: The Young Bucks via pinfall

---

Segment 2:

After the match, The Young Bucks cut a promo as they catch their breath and hype up the upcoming iPPV weekend in Arizona and say that they have 3 dream matches ahead of them and that they WILL walk out as the biggest talk of the town during "Mania Weekend"

---

Match 2:
Singles Match:
Jeff Hardy vs. Johnny Gargano (w/ Chuck Taylor)

After the events of the 8th Anniversary iPPV pre show, Chuck Taylor seems to have suffered some sort of severe brain damage? He seems to be treating Gargano like they're best of friends in the entire world even though they argue through out the entire match every time that Gargano slightly loses full control of the match leading to some goofy hijinks as Hardy tries to be the moderator between their arguments before finally having enough of their bits as the match really heats up in the second half. Hardy hits a Twist of Fate onto Gargano at 16:20 to get the win.
Winner: Jeff Hardy via pinfall

---

Segment 3:

Jeff Hardy cuts a brief promo and puts over the North American Championship tournament coming up in Phoenix. he says he "has" to walk out champion. he HAS to prove that he's here in ROH for a reason.

---

Segment 4:

Eddie Kingston cuts a promo trash talking Roderick Strong and their upcoming match tonight. He says that Roddy is going to pay for attempting to get involved in he and Tornado's business. Especially now that Tornado is done for and out of ROH like he belongs.

---

Match 3:
Tag Team Match:
The American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) vs. Erick Stevens and Bobby Fish

The Wolves and the newly formed duo of Stevens/Fish throw down in what could be shockingly considered the match of the night. Fish and Stevens look to be a new menacing duo to not be doubted here in ROH. The Wolves are at the top of their game here, fresh off a depressing loss at regaining the ROH Tag Team titles from the Briscoes at the 8th Anniversary Show iPPV. The Wolves are hitting all their power moves but ultimately Stevens and Fish are able to use "beginners" luck to get a shocking victory over the American Wolves after Bobby Fish locks in the Fish Hook and holds Davey's arm with a tight grip. Stevens round house kicks Edwards in the face as he attempts to break it up, Fish grits his teeth and bulls back even harder as the arm of Davey Richards can be heard making literal crunching noises on the bones as Davey Richards taps out and cries out in agonizing pain at 21:44
Winners: Erick Stevens and Bobby Fish

---

Segment 4:

After the match, Bobby Fish and Erick Stevens leave the ring as the crowd flips them off and some fans throw trash in the faces of Stevens and Fish as they leave and head to the back. Davey is still held up in the ring holding his arm and struggling to keep it up as it dangles down as the medical staff comes check on his arm as Edwards aids his tag team partner.

---

Match 4:
Singles Match:
Roderick Strong vs. Eddie Kingston

These two just do NOT like each other as the two brawl in and out of the ring. Barely able to break the referee's count outs after they both keep rolling in and back out of the ring, constantly throwing each other into the steps and the guard rails and slamming each other down on the hard mat. They finally make their way back into the ring, Kingston rolls his straps down off his singlet and goes for bigger power moves which leads him wide open as Roddy begins to slap the shit out of Eddie's chest, chops back and forth over and over as he speeds through Eddie as Eddie's chest turns red and raw like hamburger meat. Eddie screams with adrenaline and hits a Lariat onto Strong, covers Strong, but Strong kicks out! Eddie gets in the face of the referee and argues with him "THAT WAS 3!" he yells at the ref, when he turns back around, Roddy runs up with a huge knee strike to the face of Eddie, Eddie's back into the ropes, Strong throws him down to the mat again with a bull dog, uses his ring skills to maneuver himself behind Kingston and locks in the Strong Hold! Eddie screams in agony but makes it to the ropes, using the corner of the ring to pull himself back up to his feet, he climbs to the top turnbuckle in an attempts to leave the grip of Roddy, Roddy takes Kingston on the middle rop to his advantage, uses his full body weight to bring Kingston crashing back down for a HUUUUGE back breaker off the middle rope onto Kingston, Roderick Strong gets the win at 19:40
Winner: Roderick Strong via pinfall.

---

Segment 5:

Christopher Daniels cuts a promo thanking the ROH fans for allowing him to come back in their good graces. He acknowledges that although he came up short against Liger at the 8th Anniverary iPPV, he has a new love for pro wrestling that he had no idea he still had in his heart and he looks forward to putting back on the best run of his career in ROH as he plans to focus on wrestling in ROH again full time. Fish and Stevens come back out and mock Christopher Daniels for attempting to "please" these fans as they mock the ROH fans and the ROH locker room. Daniels tries to reason with them before realizing that they're clearly surrounding the ring in a way that Daniels cannot escape without confrontation, as Stevens and Fish roll into the ring and begin to try and attack Daniels, Edwards runs out and makes the save on Daniels! Stevens and Fish dip as they make their way out through the crowd as the crowd pushes and shoves them out as Edwards and Daniels respectfully acknowledge one another as Daniels thanks Edwards for having his back.

---

Match 5:
Tag Team Match:
Generation "NOW" (Austin Aries and Jack Evans) (w/ Rhett Titus and Kenny King) vs. Jerry Lynn and ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black

Jack Evans looks super impressive and is by far the fastest person on this show constantly out running'n'gunning and shockingly outsmarting Lynn and Black. Aries does his best to avoid the touch of Black all through out the match except for the very end as Aries hits Lynn with a brainbuster, he goes to set Lynn up again for another brainbuster, Black looks to try and stop it by attacking Aries and tackling him in the ring, the beat down is on again between these two men who absolutely despise one another! Evans yanks black off and holds him back, Aries drop kicks Black stiff, Black falls down, Aries drops a knee onto the face of Black, Evans makes his way up to the top rope, 450 Splash!! Evans connects onto Black full force! Evans goes for the cover!! 1...2.. -- Aries breaks up the pin and stops it. Evans is confused. But Aries sets the broken down Lynn up for another brainbuster! Aries throws Black over the rope into the direction of King and Titus who look to stop Black ever making it back into the ring. Aries points at Evans to get onto the top rope again! Jack Evans with a 630 Splash onto Lynn as Lynn is staring up at the ceiling looking like he has no idea who he even is anymore, the veteran is completely broken down as Aries gets the cover 1,2,3!! GeNow get the win at 18:20
Winners: Generation "Now"

---

Segment 6:

Aries, Titus, King, and Evans viciously beat down Lynn and stomp on him. The Referees from the back and security come in to stop the assault on Lynn.

Aries and his allies celebrate as they leave a borderline dead Lynn in the middle of the ring as Tyler Black aids to his mentor.

---

MAIN EVENT:
Match 6:
ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS:
The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) (c) vs. Kevin Steen and Steve Corino

A brawl for the history books here in Michigan! The Briscoes and Steen and Corino are shockingly pure equals in this match as the control and dominance of who is in control is changed at the drop of the hat! The Briscoes set up Corino for the doomsday device! It looks to be nearing over!! Corino is able to jump his way out of it but accidentally leaps his way onto the referee, who gets knocked out?! The crowd is losing their minds as Corino, completely out of breath is now having an evil smile as he instructs Steen to go down under the ring and grab a chair

but they don't need it...

Here comes those bastards Rhett Titus and Kenny King!

They jump into the ring and beat down The Briscoes as the crowd and Steen/Corino seem confused as to hell as to what's going on but shrug it off and go along with it!

Steen gets into the ring with the chair, throws it on the ground, grabs Mark Briscoe out from the All Night Xpress and picks him up.... PACKAGE PILEDRIVER ONTO THE STEELCHAIR?!

Steen pushes the chair out of the ring, Titus and King make their way out of the ring, Corino frantically grabs the ref

1, ........... 2.............. 3!!!

THE CROWD IS LOSING THEIR MIND WITH BOOS!
Steen and Corino get the win at 27:10

Winners: and NEW ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, Kevin Steen and Steve Corino

----

Segment 7:

Steen and Corino grab the tag team championships and get each on the top turnbuckles and celebrate and shove it in the faces of the ROH fans.

Commentary acknowledges their theory as to why King and Titus did what they did, and it's all because when they got pinned in their 4 way tag team match at the iPPV, when they lost, that dictated that they would now be unable to challenge for the ROH Tag Team titles as long as the Briscoes hold those belts... and it looks like King and Titus took matters into their own hands as The Briscoes are still laid out as the theme song of Steen is playing loudly as the show fades to black.

Showcasing the fact that they know each other far too well after being teammates for so long. Corino attempts to get involved in the match but is stopped by Colt Cabana who runs and clothesline Corino on the outside. Steen is distracted by these antics and spits on the face of Cabana, Cabana attempts to get in the ring as Steen smirks, the security rushes down and pulls Cabana out, Generico swoops Steen around to go for a BRAINBUSTAH! but Steen uses his weight to force himself down, Corino is gets up and tries to go for an attack on Cabana again from the outside, the referee is signaling for more help from the back, Steen uses the distraction to his advantage, kicks Generico right in the dick and scoops Generico up!

ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Triple Threat Tag Team Match:
ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS Kevin Steen and Steve Corino (c) vs. The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) vs. Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli)
This match is by far the best match of the weekend thus far as the 3 teams annihilate one another with big move after big move. The ring and surrounding area is filled with nothing but chaos. Steen sets up Claudio for the Package Piledriver but as he lifts Castagnoli up for the big move, El Generico's music plays, Steen looks pissed and drops Castagnoli, turns towards the entrance ramp and leans over the ropes as he awaits Generico to come out from the entrance ramp, all of a sudden a loud "THUD!" noise can be heard from the other side of the ring as the camera cuts to a cheering crowd as Generico has crawled out from underneath the ring and smacked Corino with a steel chair covered in blood. It looks to be the same chair that was used on Generico at Final Battle 2009 when Steen turned on Generico. Generico angrily grits his teeth and stares down Steen as Steen runs to dive onto Generico who clearly didn't think the move through as Generico ducks and Steen goes head first into the guard rail, knocking himself out in the process. Hero ignores the events on the outside and tosses Corino into the ring and looks to help set him up for a move with Claudio, The Briscoes storm the ring and attempt to have a stop to it but not until ANX can run to make an interference, The Briscoes duck as Titus and King run into a big boot from Castagnoli and a rolling Elbow by Hero, They then do the exact same thing to The Briscoes and roll them out of the ring as quickly as possible, setting up Steve Corino for the ROYAL BOMB!! BAM!! 1...2...3!! KoW get the win at 38:50
Winners and NEW RING OF HONOR WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: The Kings of Wrestling

---

Segment 6:

A graphic is shown on the screen showcasing the finals still to come tonight to crown the first ever Ring of Honor North American Champion:

Kenny Omega vs. Michael Elgin vs. Roderick Strong vs. Eddie Edwards vs. Brian Cage vs. Jeff Hardy

---

Segment 1:

We get a video package hyping up the main event tonight as Tyler Black defends his ROH World Heavyweight Championship against his longest rival yet in Austin Aries as Aries puts his entire ROH career on the line.

---

Segment 2:

Ring of Honor general manager Bret Hart comes out to much applause from the Phoenix crowd. He thanks everyone for coming out this weekend and supporting Ring of Honor as they continue to grow and expand. He says that he's excited to see who walks out the first ever ROH North American Champion tonight and he wants to go ahead and set up the first title defense for the next show that will be in Nashville titled "What Comes Next" in a few weeks - He announces a special 12 man battle royal coming up with the participants all being those who failed to advance to Round 2 of the tournament as a way to redeem themselves and be the first in line to challenge the champion!

The newly crowned ROH World Tag Team Champions Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli interrupt Bret Hart to a mixed reaction from the crowd as some love them and some hate them.

They mock Hart for attempting to make things hard for them by trying to cause a ruffle in their plans to win the ROH tag titles. He thought that he could stack the deck against KoW by having such a strict stipulation at the 8th Anniversary Show and putting a target on their heads, but in reality all he did was cause friction between ANX and they had it out for The Briscoes. They say that Bret Hart is already causing friction in the workplace by micro managing.

Bret Hart disagrees with them entirely. He says as much as he hates to admit it, at the rate the Kings of Wrestling are going they may end up becoming the greatest tag team of all time but he hates their attitude and cockiness and wants to see them work hard for that title of greatest tag team of all time.

The Briscoe Brothers come out and cut off Bret Hart and question what he means when he says that the Kings of Wrestling are on their way to becoming the best tag team of all time. They get slightly in the face of Hart as they say mockingly that to see their own boss say stuff like that about another team when they still haven't rightfully been given justice for losing the tag titles in such a bull shit way a few weeks back is really disheartening.

The All Night Xpress come out and attack The Briscoe Brothers from behind as Bret Hart calls for security

Security breaks up the two teams as they try to break out of it and dive for each other.

The Kings of Wrestling smirk and wave goodbye to everyone and point at Hart and then point at the brawl going on on "his" show - signaling they blame Hart for the chaos that's been happening in ROH.

Match 8:
Tag Team Match:
The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Rob Van Dam and Sabu
The teams are all over the place and all over the arena as they constantly barely escape the 10 count as they use the arena as their weapon by both teams consistently having someone roll back in to break the count. Both teams allow the fans to get "up and close" as they consistently irish whip one another into the barricades and then do dives and moonsaults onto the other.
The action finally makes its way back to the ring as RVD hits Nick Jackson with Van Daminator, Sabu leaps up to the top rope to try and prep for a move but Matt Jackson looks to stop them, Sabu kicks Matt down and Matt falls to the floor, Sabu leaps for a leg drop off the top rope, Nick Jackson rolls out of the way and tries to superkick RVD, but RVD rolls out of the way and sweeps the leg of Nick Jackson, Sabu hits a dropkick onto Nick, RVD jumps to the top rope

---

Segment 4:

We get a video package replaying highlights of both previous nights' shows.

We see footage of a clearly concussed Kevin Steen being treated by doctors in the back after his incident diving into the barricades last night. Corino is seen yelling at Bret Hart saying "how could you allow this to happen to my boy?! What do you plan to do to make this right?!" as Bret Hart is clearly holding back his words to question the hypocrisy of Corino.

"What Comes Next'

eeRqJb6.jpg

Our show opens with Kevin Kelly and Dave Prazak on commentary hyping up our event tonight in front of a mostly sold out crowd in Nashville!

---

Segment 1:

The show opens up with our newly crowned ROH Tag Team Champions the Kings of Wrestling Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli cutting a promo on the state of ROH since Bret Hart has taken over. They address the absolute chaos that the company is headed towards with brawls, injured men, people having to drop out of tournaments that were apart of the biggest weekend in ROH history because of assaults, they question Bret Hart's intentions as a "Manager" and what exactly he plans to manage.

ROH GM Bret Hart comes out and asks them what their issue is with him? He questions why they are so hellbent on giving him problems when he's done nothing but to continue to try and push them towards their full potential as he tried to address at the PPV in Phoenix before they were interrupted by the Briscoes and ANX

They cut him off and say that their issue is that ROH doesn't need him. They say he comes from an entitled generation and an even more entitled locker room. The guys who are here in ROH are here because they are busting their asses to be put on the best professional wrestling in the world. There's not a single damn thing that Bret Hart can do to win over their respect.

Bret Hart sighs out and says he refuses to have this argument with them any longer. He says if they want to play hard ball, that's fine. Because he's announcing that the main event for the next show in Atlanta, GA will be The Kings of Wrestling defending their championships against the Briscoe Brothers as his way of making it up to The Briscoes for the way their situation has been handled as of late.

---

Match 1:
Four Corners Survival:
Christopher Daniels vs. Michael Elgin vs. Chris Sabin vs. Brian Cage
A fun opening contest between some top contenders. Elgin and Cage continue their beef between the two beefiest men in ROH right now by assaulting one another and barely even focusing on the other 2 men involved in the match. Christopher Daniels gets the win after hitting the BME onto Chris Sabin at 15:09
Winner: Christopher Daniels

---

Segment 2:

Erick Stevens and Bobby Fish are seen backstage. The newly formed team are already bickering with one another as the two question their loyalty with each other. Erick Stevens dangles it over Fish's head that he's the whole reason he's here in ROH and specifically so they can have each other's backs and after what happened in Phoenix it looks like they failed to have one another's backs, Stevens accuses Fish of going too far by breaking the arm of Davey Richards in Dearborn but Fish disagrees and tells Stevens that he doesn't have his head in the game. Fish tells Stevens that he needs to be a killer in this business and not let anyone even slightly think that they can ever get the upper hand on them. Fish tells Stevens that he needs to be more focused on the fact that they're not even being considered a serious enough threat for The Briscoes that they're already being rewarded a tag team championship chance at the next show AGAIN before they've even proved that they can beat he and Stevens. Fish also reminds Stevens that they have a huge target on their backs because of that Boston Bitch Boy Eddie Edwards looking to hunt them down and avenge Davey Richards.
Fish and Stevens look at each other and shake hands and look to try and work on their trust with one another.

---

Match 2:
Round 1 of the Top Prospect Cup:
Singles Match:
Mike Bennett vs. AR Fox
Both young men put on an impressive performance in their ROH debuts but Bennett comes out on top with the win at 09:22
Winner: Mike Bennett

---

Segment 3:

After the match, the crowd boos as Bennett plays it off, rubs his abs while showing them off while grabbing a microphone and cuts a promo on the crowd and says that they can boo him all he wants but he's here because he IS the Top Prospect in ROH. The crowd only hates him because he's not a dweeb like the rest of the ROH roster. He's the next big star. He's The Prodigy and whether they like it or not, he's the futuere of ROH. Bennett drops the mic. and leaves the ring to boos.
The crowd cheers for AR Fox as he makes his way back up to his feet as the ROH crowd chants "please come back!"

---

Match 3:
Tag Team Match:
The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) vs. Erick Stevens and Bobby Fish
The Briscoes show off their true fury of the recent events in ROH by making quite easy work of the equally heated Fish and Stevens duo as The Briscoes get the win at 08:30
Winner: The Briscoe Brothers

---

Segment 4:

The Briscoe Brothers get on the microphone and put over the wild Nashville crowd and then talk shit about The All Night Xpress, they call them little bitches and say that they're unworthy to even lace The Briscoe Brothers' boots and they would issue a challenge to those little punk asses but they've got more important things to focus on like winning back those ROH World Tag Team Championships.

---

Match 4:
Singles Match:
Jeff Hardy vs. Delirious
Jeff Hardy beats Delirious in easy fashion with a Twist of Fate at 06:58
Winner: Jeff Hardy

---

Segment 5:

After the match, Jeff Hardy looks to go celebrate with the crowd and high five those in the front row, but as someone stands up wearing a Jushin Liger mask and decks Jeff Hardy in the face, knocking him clear out. They rip the mask off and it's Eddie Kingston. The crowd boos and flips him off as Kingston jumps the guard rail and throws Hardy into the steel steps, medical staff comes to check on Hardy as the crowd boos with Kingston crossing his arms, smirking as he stands at the top of the steps.

---

Match 5:
Singles Match:
Steve Corino vs. El Generico
El Generico lays into Steve Corino HARD, showing him absolutely 0 mercy as he bloodies up the man who corrupted the mind of his former best friend Kevin Steen. Generico gets the win at 14:18 after a BRAINBUSTAHHH!!
Winner: El Generico

---

Segment 6:

After the match, Corino is backing up in the corner begging Generico for mercy as Generico looks to continue the assault on Corino, Cabana comes out from the back and slides into the ring and reasons with Generico calming him down. He says that's enough. Steen is concussed and not even at the show tonight and Corino is just a cowardly sociopath not worth the energy. Generico reluctantly agrees and leaves Corino there shaking in fear by himself.

---

Segment 7:

We get a promo from Eddie Edwards who cuts a promo on his failure to capture the North American Championship in Phoenix. He addresses his current issues with Erick Stevens and Bobby Fish and promises them that the Wolves will come hunting those two down soon enough.

---

Match 6:
Winners Will Receive A Future ROH Tag Team Championship Match:
RVD and Sabu vs. Karl Anderson and Giant Bernard
RVD and Sabu get the win over Anderson/Bernard at 11:01 after a 5-Star Frogsplash onto Bernard.
Winners: RVD and Sabu

---

Match 7:
ROH North American Championship:
Singles Match:
Roderick Strong (c) vs. Alex Shelley
Strong and Shelley tear the house down with this technically sound match. constantly outsmarting the other man with maneuvers. Strong finally gets the win after a Sick Kick straight into the temple of Shelley's head at 20:30
Winner and STILL ROH North American Champion: Roderick Strong

---

Segment 8:

Eddie Kingston cuts a promo backstage on his actions against Jeff Hardy. He says he can't believe he's agreeing with that son of a bitch Chris Hero but he's right, this company is going straight to the shits. Guys like Jeff Hardy with his millionaire bank account shouldn't be able tow walk into this company and be booked on every show in a high paying position when guys like he and the rest of the ROH locker room are killing themselves all around the world just scraping to get by. He says that Hardy is going to be made into an example of any other punks who want to come here to HIS independent wrestling circuit and try and leech off their hardwork.

---

MAIN EVENT:
Match 8:
ROH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Singles Match:
Tyler Black (c) vs. Jack Evans
Jack Evans was the man who assisted in Austin Aries in assaulting and borderline attempting to murder Tyler Black's mentor and friend Jerry Lynn who is still in a hospital following the brutal assault so this one is just as personal as his match with Aries was in phoenix. He and Evans showcase a crazy amount of speed between the two mens' skillsets. Evans gets a bit of offense in but it's primarily Black showcasing just why he's in the position that he's in as the best wrestler in the world. Black busts out a crazy 630 splash onto Evans to finish this match at 15:39
Winner and STILL ROH World Heavyweight Champion: Tyler Black

---

Segment 9:

The show appears to begin ending but the screen near the entrance ramp shows a man in a mask with a Jigsaw from the Saw movies like voice changer. The mysterious figure has two men in hoods looking down at the ground behind him. The mysterious figure says that Tyler Black is a fool and a liar. They call Tyler Black out for being so focused on his future and being the future of professional wrestling when the past isn't done with Black. The figure says that Black is a false prophet. They claim Black is a sinner and will pay for his sins.

Tyler Black and the audience looks on in fear and confusion as all 3 men now with voice changers speak all at once as the feed cuts off to end the show.

"Ring of Honor is about to go darker than black. We are the end. We are the Apocalypse of Honor."

"How We Do It"
Atlanta, GA

vf8v6f0.jpg

We open our show with Dave Prazak and Kevin Kelly on commentary hyping up tonight's card and highlighting the recent announcement made by Ring of Honor General Manager Bret Hart that IWGP Heavyweight Champion Shinsuke Nakamura will be in action at our upcoming iPPV event in June!

---

Segment 1:

Steve Corino comes out in a suit and tie with another three men also nicely dressed behind him as the crowd boos and flips off Steve Corino and call him a "Scum Bag"

Steve Corino awaits for the crowd to silent down before speaking.

He says that this is his legal team with him tonight. He calls his relationship with Kevin Steen a true partnership. They're life partners. They're destined to be aligned with one another. The crowd begins trying to make obnoxious remarks as Corino ignores them. Corino says that what happened to Kevin Steen at "Phoenix Rising" makes him sick. Kevin Steen's concussion is a very serious issue and he hasn't been the same since the event and it makes him SICK to his stomach that ROH GM Bret Hart hasn't done a DAMN thing to make ends better for the two of them.

The crowd boos at the hypocrisy of Corino for these remarks considering that he and Steen have caused nothing but chaos in ROH all year.

Corino says that Bret is forcing his hand into taking legal action for what happened to his "Boy" Kevin Steen.

He won't take this to court under one condition,

On June 19, on iPPV, Kevin Steen gets a shot at the ROH World Heavyweight Championship.

Corino says he'll give Bret Hart until their next show in 2 weeks in Orlando to think it over.

---

Match 1:
Singles Match:
Christopher Daniels vs. Jimmy Rave
Former ROH Regular Jimmy Rave is making a solid return to ROH action in this outting against ROH veteran and legend Christopher Daniels in this match. Rave is just as slimey as ever and the crowd despises him. Unfortunately for Rave though, Daniels has a real hot streak on him as he intends to redeem himself after some major losses in ROH. Christopher Daniels picks up his 4th win since returning in ROH after the Wings of Angel onto Rave at 13:15
Winner: Christopher Daniels

---

Match 2:
Round 1 of the Top Prospect Cup:
Ricochet vs. Samuray Del Sol
The crowd is absolutely blown away by the lightning paced speed that these two men are able to keep up with one another. The crowd is on their feet for the entire match duration. Ricochet gets the win after a Phoenix Splash at 09:11
Winner: Ricochet

---

Segment 2:

Ricochet celebrates his victory and shakes the hand of Samuray Del Sol as the crowd cheers for both men chanting "Please Come Back!" towards Del Sol

---

Segment 3:

ROH North American Champion Roderick Strong cuts a promo before his match against Mike Quackenbush. He says that all year so far he's done nothing but proves why he's not only the best wrestler in North America, but the best wrestler in the world. He tells Quackenbush that he has respect for him but he is nothing but just another brilliant challenger that will fall victim to the hands of the Messiah of the Backbreaker. Roderick holds the North American championship above his head and says he wants this title to not only be a title for the best that ROH has to offer, or the best that America, or North America has to offer, Roderick Strong puts over the North American championship heavy and says that this title is to prove exactly who is the best in the entire damn world. The crowd cheers on. Roderick says that he knows that he has been in ROH for nearly as long as the longest guys in the back and he's had his fair share of disappointing chances to capture the ROH world title but "no bull shit" this isn't marketing or just some buzz words on commentary, he intends to showcase the North American Championship as the TRUE workhorse title in professional wrestling. Because he doesn't need management or the fans to have his back and say that a title makes him the best in the world, he's going to prove with his title defenses using THIS title to prove that he truly is the best wrestler in the world as the crowd cheers loudly for Roderick.

---

Match 3:
ROH NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP:
Singles Match:
Roderick Strong (c) vs. Mike Quackenbush
Quackenbush uses his technical abilities to the best that he possibly can but it seems that truly nobody can keep up with the likes of Roderick Strong. Roddy proves to be a man of his word and retains the championship against Quackenbush after a back breaker at 14:49
Winner and STILL ROH North American Champion: Roderick Strong

---

Match 4:
Tag Team Match:
Erick Stevens and Bobby Fish vs. The Super Smash Brothers (Player Uno and Stu Grayson)
Stevens and Fish are finally getting on the same track and Stevens takes Fish's word of advice from "What Comes Next" to heart and showing that "killer instinct" as the two finish off the Smash Brothers with impressive ease at 08:59 as Stevens and Fish both have the Smash Bros in separate arm submissions, Fish has Grayson locked in the Fish Hook as Grayson taps
Winners: Bobby Fish and Erick Stevens

---

Segment 4:

Stevens lets go of his submission hold but Fish still keeps the Fish Hook locked in tight on Stu Grayson as Grayson begs for mercy and help as the referee attempts to pull Fish off of Grayson

Eddie Edwards' music hits!

Eddie Edwards run down to the ring with a steel chair as Bobby Fish and Erick Stevens in fear panic and make a run for it as Edwards slides into the ring swinging the chair as the crowd cheers for Eddie Edwards

---

Match 5:
Singles Match:
Eddie Kingston vs. Johnny Gargano (w/ Chuck Taylor)
Eddie Kingston made some bold statements regarding Jeff Hardy at our last show and he looks to have a true chip on his shoulder as he beats down Gargano like it's nobodies business. Kingston hits the BLKOUT Lariat onto Gargano at 10:06 to get the win
Winner: Eddie Kingston

---

Segment 5:

Eddie Kingston's theme music is cut and out comes Jeff Hardy with a microphone in hand. Jeff Hardy bashes Kingston for not handling this like a "man" and taking cheap shots against him at "What Comes Next" - he tells Kingston that he clearly must have not been paying attention because Hardy has been at every show since showing up in ROH, he's been appearing in other smaller promotions such as FIP, CHIKARA and PWG to face some of the best in the world. Hardy says that ROH has brought his love back for professional wrestling and he's found something inside himself he didn't even know he was there. He asks Kingston how dare he try to tear him down and question his motives in ROH. He says he won't have it. He wants Kingston at the next show "Epic Encounter III"

Eddie Kingston agrees to the bout and laughs as the crowd cheers on.

---

Match 6:
Tag Team Match:
El Generico and Colt Cabana vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)
The two teams put on a blast of fun match against one another. Colt Cabana uses his bigger build to his advantage and takes control of most of the match against the Bucks. He hits the elbows onto the faces of both brothers as the crowd erupts, Cabana tags in Generico who steps into the ring but freezes up as he sees both the Bucks standing there. Generico panics with fear and anxiety. Commentary notes he's clearly having PTSD as The Bucks are the team that beat Generico and Steen at Final Battle 2009. The night that Steen turned on Generico and beat Generico with an inch of his life.
Cabana looks to comfort Generico and assures him it's all okay as Generico is scared, clearly still conflicted of everything that's been going on in his rivalry with Steen.
Cabana calms Generico down and pushes him to get back into the corner so they can tag Cabana back into the match but BAM double super kick from the Bucks to the back of Cabana's head.
Generico gasps as he looks at Cabana down on the mat.
The Bucks take control and scoop up Generico

MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!

The Bucks get the pin on Generico for a win at 10:11
Winners: The Young Bucks

---

Match 7:
Singles Match:
ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black vs. Kenny King (w/ Rhett Titus)
Kenny puts on an impressive outting against Black. This is by far King's best match in singles action here in ROH as he actually gets a close call at one point on Black. But Black is clearly just too good at has too much power at this stage in his career and hit's God's Last Gift on King at 17:13 to get the win
Winner: ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black

---

Segment 6:

Rhett Titus rolls into the ring to comfort King but Black is standing over them and kicks Titus in the head playfully and makes Titus look up at him. He tells them to cut the shit. Black knows that Titus, King and Aries are trying to play mind games and they're clearly the 3 men who were on the screen last week in hoods trying to mess with him after he beat Jack Evans. Titus nods and says that wasn't them. He can audibly be heard saying "He's gone. You killed his entire life. He's gone!" to Black referring to Aries.

Tyler Black isn't buying it as the referee tries to calm down and defuse the situation and is asking for Black to leave but Black tells him he's not believing a damn thing these idiots say. He knows that it's them just trying to get in his hand. A clearly anxious Tyler Black takes the world championship and leaves as the crowd is left puzzled.

---

Segment 7:

As Titus and King are making their exit, The Briscoe Brothers Jay and Mark Briscoe make their way down as Titus can be seen saying "Oh.. Shit!"

The Briscoe brothers rush out and beat down Titus and King with fists to the faces, running them down, before sliding into the ring with the crowd erupting in cheering as the ring announcer makes the announcements for their match in the main event tonight.

These two teams put it all on the line for the most coveted prize in all of tag team wrestling. The crowd was split 50/50 on who they were cheering for as the two teams nearly killed one another. The Briscoes has Claudio set up for the Doomsday Device but Hero comes soaring in with a rolling elbow to the face of Mark! Claudio lands on his feet when Mark goes stumbling down, Claudio runs up and leaps onto the top turnbuckle with Jay, grips him and throws him back with a HUGE rolling moonsault side slam, COVERS! 1...2...3! The Kings retain the championships at 32:11
Winners and STILL ROH World Tag Team Champions: The Kings of Wrestling

EPIC ENCOUNTER III

Segment 1:

We open our show with Ring of Honor GM Bret Hart coming down to the ring to a loud applause.

He addresses Steve Corino's request from the last show as Corino is demanding Steen be awarded the #1 Contendership to the ROH World Championship and face off against the champion at the next iPPV "Death Before Dishonor VIII"

Bret Hart says that after some time thinking it over, he has officially decided it would be in everyone's best interest that Steen is NOT given the world championship match. As he can't risk Steen and Corino having possession of the most coveted world championship in professional wrestling.

ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black's music hits to a huge pop by the crowd as he makes his way to the ring with a microphone.

He tells Bret Hart "That's not how we do things" here in ROH. He says that he IS a fighting champion. He will take on any and every challenge that comes his way. He demands that Bret Hart make the match official. He says that if he doesn't, then that will speak loudly as to what kind of manager he is here.

Bret Hart reluctantly looks down at the ground and thinks it over. The crowd cheers as they want to see Steen get his comeuppance by facing "their" guy Tyler black.

Bret Hart shakes Tyler Black's hand and makes it official!!! Kevin Steen gets his world championship shot at Death Before Dishonor VIII.

Steve Corino and Kevin Steen come out to the crowd drowning their music in boos.

Corino laughs uncontrollably and says that Bret Hart is a fool and just made the biggest mistake of his entire life. They're about to officially make ROH their bitch and hold the entire company hostage.

Bret Hart grabs the microphone and says that the one condition for Steen getting his ROH World Title match ... is that on the other side of that coin, Steen has to accept that El Generico will be challenging for the ROH North American Championship as well at the iPPV.

Kevin Steen does his best to not look bitter. He tells Hart he "doesn't even care" --- no like "SERIOUSLY, I DO NOT CARE" -- Steen claims that he's moved on from El Generico and Generico can chase that "worthless" title all he wants.

El Generico and Colt Cabana come out from behind and attack Steve Corino and Kevin Steen! Bret Hart says "That's enough! This is exactly what I feared about giving you what you wanted!" and that they would use it as a chance to just continue to cause chaos - He calls for security to pull apart everyone apart as Generico and Cabana are left out there to prepare for the opening contest.

---

Match 1:
Tag Team Match:
El Generico and Colt Cabana vs. Michael Elgin and Brian Cage
Brian Cage and Michael Elgin have been at ends with one another twice now in the past at 2 separate ROH shows recently and now are being forced to try and work as a team. Elgin and Cage showcase their strength advantage over Generico and Cabana but after Elgin accidentally clotheslines into Cage after Cabana ducks down and knocks Cage back, Cage comes back angry and pushes Elgin. They then brawl and throw each other to the outside as Generico and Cabana stand by idle in confusion and borderline amusement. Elgin irish whips Cage into the barricade, runs to try and attack Cage but Cage lifts Elgin up over his head and throws him over the guard rail and into the crowd! These two hot heads just cannot focus on the task at hand and are obsessed with outdoing one another and being THE next big man in ROH. The match is ended via countout as the referee has no choice but to end the match. Cabana and Generico are clearly so frustrated with the current situation in ROH that they shrug their shoulders and take the win
Winners: El Generico and Colt Cabana via countout at 7 minutes

---

Match 2:
Singles Match:
ROH World Tag Team Champion Chris Hero vs. Johnny Gargano (w/ Chuck Taylor)
These two put on a great match! This is by far Gargano's best outting since debuting in ROH earlier this year. Hero shows a bit of disrespect to the smaller Gargano and slaps and knocks him around a bit with ease. Chuck Taylor plays goofy "cheerleader" for his apparent new best friend Johnny Gargano as he plays on goofy chants from the sidelines and gets the crowd way more on Gargano's side as the crowd laughs with Taylor's antics. Hero tries to get Taylor to shut up by bending over and grabbing him by the hair, Chuck Taylor screams like a small child girl as the crowd cheers again in amusement. Gargano uses this distraction to his advantage and takes control of Hero and locks Hero into the Garga-NO Escape in the middle of the ring! Hero is able to squeeze an escape in but Gargano speeds through and reverses Hero's offense and turns it into a Hurts Donut! Gargano pulls off the upset!
Winner: Johnny Gargano via pinfall at 14 minutes

---

Segment 2:

Johnny Gargano is in just as much shock as the crowd is after pulling off the biggest win in his young ROH career. Chuck Taylor rolls into the ring and hugs Gargano as they celebrate.

Fellow ROH World Tag Team Champion Claudio Castagnoli comes to the ring and steps into the ring. He stands in the way of those two and Hero as he's unsure if they're hostile enough to try and two on one Hero.

Johnny Gargano sticks his hand down to try and help Hero up but Hero slaps his hand away. Gargano rolls his eyes and backs away as Taylor and Gargano leave the ring as Claudio helps Hero back up to his feet.

---

Match 3:
Round 1 of the Top Prospect Cup:
Singles Match:
Matt Taven vs. Rich Swann
The crowd absolutely despises Matt Taven. Taven eats it up and shows off his cockiness and arrogance much to the crowds distain. Rich Swann on the other hand is on the other side of that spectrum as the ROH crowd shows nothing but love for the fun loving and fast paced Swann. Rich Swann is able to get the victory after a 450 Splash onto Taven
Winner: Rich Swanna via pinfall at 10 minutes

---

Match 4:
Singles Match:
Bobby Fish (w/ Erick Stevens) vs. Eddie Edwards
This grudge match goes just as planned as Fish tries to cheat his way to a quick win by going immediately for his devastating finisher "Fish Hook" several times to try and finish the match quickly but Eddie Edwards prevails and gets his way out of it. Stevens gets on the ring apron and tries to distract Edwards, Edwards gets in the face of Stevens but plays it smart and turns around, timing it perfectly as he dodges the quick attack by Fish as Fish ends up attacking Stevens instead! Edwards rolls up Bobby Fish and gets the 3 count!
Winner: Eddie Edwards via pinfall at 12 minutes

---

Segment 3:

Stevens slides into the ring to attempt to attack Edwards with Fish but here comes the returning Davey Richards!!

Davey's music hits as the crowd erupts in cheer as they haven't seen Richards since Bobby Fish snapped Davey's arm and left him out with an injury. The American Wolves are reunited as they bring the attack on Bobby Fish and Erick Stevens. Davey hits Fish with a DR driver before locking him into an ankle lock as Bobby Fish screams in agony and begs for mercy as the crowd cheers on the American Wolves!

---

Match 5:
Tag Team Match:
The All Night Xpress (Kenny King and Rhett Titus) vs. LAX (Hernandez and Homicide)
King and Titus are bringing their A game against the widely respected LAX as they show more fight in them they have previously. Kenny King is able to shock the crowd as he gets a clean win over former ROH World Champion Homicide to win the match for his team!
Winners: ANX via pinfall at 12 minutes

---

Segment 4:

After the match, King and Titus look to celebrate but their music is cut off by The Briscoe Brothers who come out with a microphone and run down the All Night Xpress and call them nothing but a couple of bitches just looking to make a false legacy for themselves here in ROH by cheating their way to the top of the tag team division. They say that the biggest mistake they ever made in their lives was making enemies of the Briscoe Brothers because come at Death Before Dishonor VIII, It's going to be the end of the lives and careers of the All Night Xpress.

Segment 6:

Christopher Daniels cuts a promo on the main event tonight as he challenges Tyler Black. He says that he's not unfamiliar with how insane Black's 2010 has been so far. Daniels admit that this match means EVERYTHING to him. This match will be the match that proves what he already knew a long time ago which is that he's the best damn wrestler to ever step foot in ROH. He says that he's watched all of Black's title defenses so far leading up to this match and says that Black is being cheeky by using all of his opponent's own big moves against them to win. He says there's a reason his BME is called "BEST moonsault ever" and that's because nobody can do it like he does and he promises that he'll put an end to Black's reign and go on to defend the Honor of ROH against Steve Corino and wacky goon Kevin Steen at Death Before Dishonor.

---

Match 6:
ROH North American Championship:
Singles Match:
ROH North American Champion Roderick Strong (c) vs. ROH World Tag Team Champion Claudio Castagnoli
Claudio was able to secure this title match after putting on one of the craziest and most unexpected match finishes in all of ROH which took place at the last show in the main event against the Briscoes. These two beat the HELL out of each other and put it all on the line to the crowd standing on their feet for nearly the entire thing. The match would ultimately come to an end as Strong hits 3 back to back running drop kicks to a downed Claudio until the giant man collapses and Strong gets the cover
Winner and STILL ROH North American Champion: Roderick Strong via pinfall at 21 minutes

---

Segment 7:

After the match, Roderick Strong gets on the microphone and calls Kevin Steen a bitch. He says that he dares to open the show by mocking HIS championship. He says that there's a reason that Steen is going after Tyler Black at the iPPV and that's because he knows that he wouldn't be able to overcome Roderick Strong as the crowd gives a cheer for one of their favorite ROH competitors before Strong heads to the back.

---

Match 7:
Singles Match:
Eddie Kingston vs. Jeff Hardy
Kingston and Hardy put on a brawl through out the match both in the ring and out of the ring. Jeff Hardy looks to go for the Twist of Fate onto Kingston but Kingston throws his way at Hardy and shoves Hardy into the ref as the ref as the referee goes flying back towards the ropes and catches himself by grabbing the ropes. As the ref is faced the other way, Kingston kicks Hardy right in the balls and then hits a BLKOUT Lariat! Kingston steals the win after the crowd erupts in boos
Winner: Eddie Kingston via pinfall at 16 minutes

---

Segment 8:

After the match, Eddie Kingston gets on the microphone and says "cut my ****ing music" - he gets in a downed Hardy's face and told him that he didn't have what it takes to hang with "The Boys" here in ROH and he best go back to "that" side of New York and beg for his job back because out here, in these parts, Hardy is going to get himself killed if he keeps messing with dogs like Eddie Kingston. He angrily says that this is Hardy's LAST chance to leave or next time, Kingston isn't going to leave Hardy in a state where he can walk out of this ring by himself before dropping the microphone on Hardy's face and leaves as the crowd boos Kingston.

MAIN EVENT:
Match 8:
ROH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black (c) vs. Christopher Daniels
The title of this event says all you need to know about what these two did when they got into that ring together. They put on a match that had the crowd hyper invested after constant near falls and power struggles between the two. It's the current face of ROH and the future of this business against quite possibly the biggest legend to ever step foot in ROH. Black climbs the ropes in a clear attempt to go for the BME onto Daniels and do exactly what Daniels knew Black would do and try and steal his move. Daniels runs up and jumps onto the top rope and attacks Black. He sets Black up for The Angels Wings off the top rope but Black counters that and brings both men tumbling down to the middle of the ring! The crowd cheers on as both men struggle to make it to their feet before the much younger Black uses his stamina to his advantage and quickly comes in to attack Daniels and sets him up for God's Last Gift! It connects. Black immediately picks Daniels back up and throws Daniels down with another! That's ALL she wrote...
Winner and STILL ROH World Heavyweight Champion: Tyler Black via pinfall at 32 minutes

---

Segment 9:

The show goes off air as Black and Daniels shake hands and raise one another's arms as Black has clearly 100% earned the respect of Daniels.

The Lights Go Out

The lights come back on and the 3 hooded/masked men who have been taunting Tyler Black are standing in the ring...

They beat down Tyler Black and Christopher Daniels with force and hit Tyler Black with a triple power bomb onto Daniels.

The crowd boos and chants "Bull Shit!" as the 3 masked men leave the ring without revealing their identities to the crowd as Black and Daniels are left beaten down in the ring with the show officially ending

We get a backstage interview with El Generico and Colt Cabana who hype up their upcoming matches at the iPPV "Death Before Dishonor VIII" - Colt Cabana will be facing Kenny Omega and El Generico will be challenging for the ROH North American Championship. Cabana does his best to stay on task and hype up his own match but can see that Generico is clearly shook up about something. Cabana comforts Generico and calms him down. He assures Generico that everything will be alright and they just need to move forward. Cabana acknowledges the elephant in the room in that Kevin Steen is getting a shot at the ROH World title at the iPPV. Cabana says not even taking into account he and Generico's feelings towards Steen, they both have full faith in Tyler Black being able to get the job done against the man who is looking to destroy ROH. El Generico does his best to try and look confident in the words that Cabana said.

---

Match 2:
Round 1 of the Top Prospect Cup:
Singles Match:
Adam Cole vs. Kyle O'Reilly
These two put on the only match on the card that doesn't feature a "Legend" in it for this supercard and these two young men making their ROH debuts go above and beyond in proving that. This show was packed by tons of first time viewers of the ROH Product and they were shown just what it takes to make it in ROH as the crowd is very vocal through out the entire match as these two just scrap and claw at one another knowing that only one can advance to the next round. Adam Cole hit's the Florida Keys on O'Reilly to ultimately get the victory
Winner: Adam Cole via pinfall at 18 minutes

---

Segment 2:

The two men are clearly exhausted and struggle to both make it to their feet as the crowd chants "ROH! ROH! ROH!" - the two shake hands and say "Thank you" to one another before raising one another's arms in victory.

We get a graphic confirming round 2 of the top prospect cup!

The Canadian Invasion of ROH starts with the Monster Mafia.

---

Match 3:
Singles Match:
Gangrel vs. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels
This match is definitely more of a goofy match as Daniels is clearly going a bit overboard with the "Fallen Angel" shtick more than ever in cartoonish fashion as he takes on the vampire Gangrel. Daniels hits Angels Wings on Gangrel and gets the 3 count
Winner: Christopher Daniels via pinfall at 9 minutes

---

Segment 4:

After the match, Christopher Daniels cuts a promo and says that he is disappointed in himself that he couldn't get the job done at "Epic Encounter III" and capture the ROH Championship. He says that he took a long look at himself in the locker room after the match and really had to decide if this was all worth fighting for and he said that it didn't take long for him to realize that indeed it was. This isn't just about championships. The truth is, this is all about a legacy. It's about win or loss, proving that he's the GOAT. Christopher Daniels calls out IWGP Heavyweight Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and says that he's calling out Nakamura to be his opponent at Death Before Dishonor VIII. This will be one for the ages.

---

Segment 5:

Piper's Pit with Roddy Piper takes place with Kevin Steen and Steve Corino.

Roddy Piper spends a lot of time pandering to the crowd and hyping them up before calling out his guests, Kevin Steen and Steve Corino.

Piper at first starts off calm and hypes up Kevin Steen, says that Steen reminds him a lot of a younger himself. He tells Steen he loves to see a fighting spirit in a bonkers of a man who is willing to do anything it takes to win. He says that just being himself is the most honorable thing that he can do, no matter what anyone else tries to tell him is the case.

Steen tells Piper that he absolutely agrees with him. He says that really the only big difference that he can see between the two is that in just a few weeks Steen will be able to accomplish what Piper never did and that was become World Heavyweight Champion. He tells Piper that it's alright though, because Steen doesn't plan to be anyone's bitch the way Piper was to Hogan. He doesn't plan to do shitty scifi movies like Piper.

The crowd boos as it's clearly visible that hurt and angered Hot Rod.

Piper begins to immediately let into Steen and call out every insecurity that is clear about Steen. His shit attitude, his shit build, his shit grin that he has going on right now, the fact that he has to try and ruin the life and career of a man a 1/3 his size who used to consider him his best friend just to get ahead in life and by aligning himself with this ECW reject Steve Corino who never drew a dime in his life.

Right as Piper gets the last words out of his mouth about Corino, Steen headbutts Piper square in the face, knocking him back into the ropes, Piper grabs his head in agony as he walks back towards Steen in dizziness, Steen grabs Piper and sets him up in position to try and lift him up for his finisher the Package Piledriver

Here comes the ROH World Tag Team Champions Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli!

They storm the ring and Hero hits a rolling elbow onto Steen as Claudio big boots Corino. They clear out the ring and save Piper from the assault.

Piper straightens his back up and pulls on his leather jacket, pats Hero and Claudio on the back thanking them for the assist as the 3 stand tall as Steen and Corino leave with big evil grins on their faces.

---

Match 4:
Tag Team Match:
ROH World Heavyweight Champion Tyler Black and Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Shane Helms and Shannon Moore
Liger and Black are the team that we never knew that we needed in this world as they put on a blast of a match with the two long time friends Helms and Moore! Black hits God's Last Gift on Shannon Moore to score the pin for his team
Winners: Tyler Black and Jushin Thunder Liger via pinfall at 14 minutes

---

Segment 6:

All 4 Men Shake hands as the match is over.

Tyler Black is the only one left in the ring.

He cuts a promo addressing the 3 men who seem obsessed with stalking him. He says that he's unsure what sort of mind ****ery they're attempting to mess him up with but he refuses to let it work. He's worked too hard to crawl from the pits of where he used to in ROH as a no good piece of shit .. to becoming the face of the company. He has a match to focus on coming up against Kevin Steen, who he considers quite possibly the biggest match of his entire career. He calls them cowards for hiding behind masks and tells them that no matter who they are or whatever their plan is, he can handle it. He's on the top of the world and nothing can knock him down.

---

Segment 7:

We get a backstage promo from The American Wolves Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards who are reunited once again at last after Richards hasn't been able to be seen for several shows now after Fish injured his arm.

They cut a promo on Fish and Stevens and call them cowards and thieves. They say that they stole Richards the chance at the ROH North American Championship tournament when they pulled the act that they did against him. He says that it's no matter now because come Death Before Dishonor, the Wolves are back and on the hunt once again and will avenge themselves.

Just then, Fish and Stevens both come in and assault Edwards and Richards from behind with steel pipes.

They take Richards and throw him into the Janitor's closet and lock it shut.

Edwards gets up and tries to fight off Fish and Stevens but it's no match for the two on one. They pull out... Handcuffs ???

They hand cuff Eddie Edwards and push him down to the ground as Bobby Fish laughs like a school bully, pulling out... SAND PAPER? from his pockets

Stevens looks shocked. He says "That wasn't a part of the plan?!"

Fish tells him to quit his whining and make sure Edwards doesn't move.

Stevens embarrassingly plays along as Fish takes the sand paper and viciously grinds it against the head of Edwards over and over, sawing into his forehead skin with it until Edwards is bleeding from his face as he screams in agony, Richards can be heard pounding on the door trying to open it.

The security and medical staff come and break up the assault as Edwards is left in a small pool of his own blood

---

Segment 8:

Eddie Kingston makes his entrance and cuts a promo on Jeff Hardy and mocks him for missing tonight's show after Kingston beat him so badly at the last show as the crowd boos.

"Where's your hero now?" Kingston says

Kingston mocks the crowd for paying high dollar to sit so close to a show watching has beens of yesterday and never beens of ever get their asses beat by the future of this business here in ROH. Eddie Kingston brags about how "hard" he is and talks about being the face of violence. He says that he is the first ever certified "ROH Superstar" and ain't nothing anyone can do it.

---

Match 5:
Singles Match:
Eddie Kingston vs. Dave Finlay
If you thought our opening contest was hard hitting, then you've seen nothing yet. These two both have their straps pulled down off their singlets. Finlay stiffs Kingston so hard in the eye with his fist that it leaves a bruised black eye. Kingston eventually gets the upper hand and sets up Finlay for the BLKOUT Lariat but Jeff Hardy comes from the back and distracts Eddie Kingston as Eddie Kingston's eyes widened in both anger and fear. He yells at Hardy and tells him to go back home, the referee tries to tell Hardy to not get involved in the match, Finlay grabs his shillelagh from the corner of the ring and bashes Kingston over the head with it and throws it to the outside and pins Kingston when the referee turns back around.

---

Segment 9:

Jeff Hardy makes fun of Kingston for actually believing that a slob like him could "Force" him out of ROH. Hardy says that he doesn't know how many times that he has to repeat this but he's here to stay. This isn't some part time deal. This is the REAL deal. This is the Ring of Hardy. Eddie Kingston fell for the "oldest sports entertainment trick in the book" and messed up believing Hardy wouldn't be here to seek revenge.
