Exactly. Thats what I mean. I do think he’s a member of Punk’s clique as well, but I think he was more so a Cody stable guy and most of them want to join him over there.

I don’t necessarily think that’s an issue. WWE stars support Mercedes in AEW, but it’s that with him basically giving the impression he’s not about AEW.

This interview alone reeks AEW sucks and aren’t using me.

Not now and I like Ricky, but there’s like 10 guys fighting for the top spot ahead of him.

That’s what is great and sucks for AEW right now is so many want a run on top. So some will have to wait, but if AEW does want NXT used to do and just gives one guy a run after another and doesn’t really do two-time champions, at least we have a fresh main event scene for at least 5 years.

N while Naomi stuff is totally true n was cool, the other side of the coin is punk showing up under contract to pre negotiate his way back in. Yup and after those 10 guys there's 10 guys under 30 who are also looking to get their spot.

N I do think his character n promo ability would work well in WWE where there is less focus on being a beast in the ring. Not that I think Ricky is not at least "very good" in there either

Idk about ball dropping, they gave this guy a million pushes but he wants to hang out backstage at wwe and continuously praise public enemy # 1 while still swooning with Cody n jade. I wouldn't push him either anymore

I guess the x-factor for me would be how soon he's leaving. I might not push him any further, when he's made it clear that he's ready to leave. And if there was only a month or so left on his deal, I can see keeping him sidelined. I feel like with his talent and charisma, I would at least make some use of him if he still had like 3 or more months left on his deal, obviously with the expectation that he'd put someone over when he goes. But yeah, nonetheless, him leaving is gonna probably be the first AEW defection that actually bums me out.

It’s possible Tony has asked to return but Ricky doesn’t want to do the job. Unfortunately, we’re only hearing one side so it’s hard to say for sure. I do agree you can still use him if he’s got more than a month left on his deal, but he definitely needs to put people over on his way out.
